Digital juice files to my HD?

I may be way out of the scope of the forum, but I am posting in this forum because I am sure a few of you use Digial Juice but hate loading the DVDs like me with the juicer.
I have FCP Studio 3 and don't use a lot of DJ, but I have collected a few over the years because I like being able to take some themes and use them for compostiting. One thing that is brutally time consuming is rendering the DJ Video or elements via the juicer off of the source DVD. Not to mention digging though and trying to load the proper DVD in the series.
Since DJ has downloadable products (I have a few) can you also put your DJ Files on a hard drive so you can suck them straight into FCP or Motion? I do use the juicer if I want to export the file at a different fram rate or resolution, but I want to really save time by having these files on an HD.
Has anyone been successful.
PS. I am only keeping my HD files and sounds. I am getting rid of all SD products.

I was given a large DJ collection a number of years ago. I just went through and rendered video of all those I thought I might use to a folder on one of my hard drives. It was only a few GB. I also wrote the file to my other production machines. I haven't seen Juicer in like 4-5 years.

  • Digital juice alpha channels

im importing digital juice content with alpha channels, final cut is not recognizing the alpha channel. how can i fix that?

If I remember correctly, Digital Juice files are Animation codec with Alpha Channels and should key automatically. Highlight the animation in the browser and scroll sideways to the column marked Alpha, that will tell you how the file is being interpreted by FCP. If it reads None/Ignore then highlight the clip on your timeline and goto Modify>Alpha Type and choose Straight.
Alternatively, Digital Juice usually includes a matte with all their animations. Put the animation on V2 and the corresponding matte on V1, then right click the clip in V2 and choose Composite Mode> Travel Matte Luma. This will use the track on V1 as the alpha channel.
This works when the files have been compressed to a codec that doesnt support Alpha, but shouldnt be necessary if the files you are working with are indeed Animation codec with Millions+ (Alpha)

  • Digital Juice Video Backgrounds

I am making a Keynote presentation that I am building and playing back live on a fully loaded MacPro with two monitors. I tried to use a Digital Juice Jumpback background as well as a background from the new Editors Toolbox 2 with some problems. I copied the quicktime file from the product DVD directly to my hard drive and then dropped the quicktime into the Keynote presentation.
    Two problems occurred:
    1. The video hesitates/jumps when the presenter's monitor is drawing the next screen. Maybe creating a different file type with the Juicer application will help?
    2. When I do a transition to the next slide, the background video pauses during the transition. Is there a way to overcome this?
    Thanks in advance.

Q2. This is a known issue for keynote '09, although I don;t know where apple lists the known issues for Keynote. Hopefully Snow Leopard will move on this OpenCL and all that but not necessarily. I stems from competing demands on GPU and KN is either pausing QT to avoid choppy playback or the GPU itself is busy loading new textures for the transition.
Q1. Not familiar with the Toolboxes but for likely cause ref Q1. Seeing as you are using a tower you could try a second video card (one each monitor) if you have one handy but unlikely to improve situation I'm guessing.

  • Compositing Issue with Digital Juice Overlays

    Hi guys-
This really isn't a digital juice ETK Overlay specific question, just the product. I am able to use regular overlays fine where the provided graphic is over the video, but I have problems when using the overlay mattes. Can anyone tell me the correct layering and what composite modes to use so that I can get my selected media in the matte and have my video underneath it. Any ideas on how to get this all layered correctly on the timeline? Thanks!
    -Jack

    Give this a try.
Place your main video footage on V1.
Place the video you want to show thru your Mask on V2 right above the video on V1.
Add an Image Mask to the *.mov file you placed on V2. You probably know but just in case. To do this you Double click the V2 movie in your timeline so its in the Viewer. Then click on the effects tab in the browser and select Video Filters -> Matte -> Image Mask. Then just drag the Image Mask on top of the Viewer.
Then click on Filters in the Viewer and you will see your Image Mask filter. Where you see the square box in the Mask line drag the Digital Juice Matte. Make sure the check box for invert is not checked.
This should do it. Obviously you first should process the Matte file thru the Juicer app and have it imported into your project.

  • Acrobat 7 is not saving digital ID files

    Hello,
I've searched ALL over and can't find anything relevant.  I am using Adobe Acrobat 7 Pro for digital signatures.  Recently it started to prompt me for a digital ID whenevr trying to sign a document.  I go into the security settings, select a digital ID and set it as default for signing.  Works great until you close Acrobat and re-open it... then the digital ID file and security settings completely disappear.  I've tried everything from creating a new digital ID file, to reinstalling Acrobat entireley.  Also deleted the Crypto folder hoping that wold help.  No luck.
    Any ideas??
    Thanks

    Hi paintb4707,
This is something I've never seen before, so I'll take a stab in the dark.
    Make sure Acrobat is closed
    Run regedit
    Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\7.0
    Delete the Security key
    Close the Registry Editor
    Launch Acrobat
Select the Advanced > Security Settings menu item
Click the Add ID toolbar button
Select the Find and existing Digital ID radio button. and then click Next
    Click the Browse button
Navigate to the location an existing digital ID, select it, and then click the Open button
Enter the password and then click the Next button
    Click the Finish button
Close and relaunch Acrobat and see if the digital ID persists.

  • Trying to open file in photoshop elements, only first option available in Edit Photo window.  The other two has "Edit a Copy is not applicable to raw or Digital Negative files" same for Edit Original.

Brand new user to Lightroom 5.  Was following tutorials and doing fine editing.  After done editing NEF files, I'm trying to open them in PSE 11 to further edit.  Using the "Edit Photo with Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor".  But the window only has the first option available and the other two grayed out.  Each of those has "...is not applicable to raw or Digital Negative files."  What??

sorry, no can do...ain't gonna happen.
What you've done is hit the wall on is the basic difference between lite duty spot healing and photo level tone and color correction (Lightroom and Camera Raw) and heavy duty pixel retouching in Photoshop.
When you need to substantially manipulate the "pixels" you need Photoshop and you'll be forced to render the raw file into a TIFF or PSD file either through Camera Raw or more better, via Lightroom.
You can do the basic tone and color correction directly in Lightroom and edit in Photoshop from Lightroom. But you will NEED to create and save out a "rendered" image that is no longer raw...then retouch to your heart's desire, save it and it'll be available in Lightroom along side your original raw if you choose.
But no, there's no way to open a raw in Photoshop, manipulate the heck out of it with massive retouching then save that back out as a raw file...ain't gonna happen.

  • Digital Juice? Is it good and worht the money?

I am looking at buying the new Sound FX program from Digital Juice, for transition sounds when I do my videos, is this a good program and does it have lots of transition sound effects, like the ones use on most tv shows? Or is there a better program out there?
But I will also like to buy the actual transition effects like the ones use on tv shows, where can I get them? One show that uses a lot of cool ones is Oprah. Any ideas as to where I can buy this from?
I should also remind that I am editing in HD format as well as standard, so I am going to need a program that is compatible with both in FCP Studio
    Thanks for all your help.
    G5 2.3Ghz   Mac OS X (10.4.1)

    Omie,
I just received my SoundFX set from Digital Juice and it is fantastic. However, if you're ONLY looking for the whooshes and transition sounds, there might be a better resource (not sure what those might by), but there are about 300-400 (that I see on first glance) of those type sounds of various lengths and types.
For a sound fx kit overall, it is fantastic. Almost every sound I need or would ever need (unless I worked on a feature movie, of course).
If you're in the market, Digital Juice has this on sale right now for about $250 and they are throwing in a couple of their StackTraxx with it and a free Editor's Tool Kit. I ordered that setup. But, since you are doing HD format, the ETK might be under your needs. The package is still worth about $1000 if you take out the ETK.
Hope that helps. I'm finding Digital Juice's products to be a real time saver and also good quality (not cheesy like most offerings out there). They do have or are working on some HD material so check out their website.

  • Transfer of Digital Signature Files

I've transferred my copy of Acrobat 7.1 Standard to another computer and I want to copy over my digital signature file. I can't find the file on my old computer. Could someone tell me how I can move a signature file to another computer?
    Jerry Judd

Assuming you are talking about your digital ID, you can search for files with suffix .pfx or .p12. These are the files types that contain you digital ID certificate. If you find the desired file, move it to you new computer. Then import using Advanced > Security Settings and push the Add ID (+) button.
If you are talking about signature appearance files that is different. It's probably easier to recreate on your new computer, depending on what it's setup is (usually, it is just a matter of clicking some checkboxes to configure). Edit > Preferences > security panel.

  • Using Digital Personnel File for HCM Forms & Processes

For this to be done record case management needs to be customized. Can you provide the steps for record case management customization and integrating digital personnel files with HCM forms.

  • 2nd password on digital signature file

I am deploying Acrobat Standard 9 in a regulated environment (21 CFR Part 11) and need to have the digital signature file require a second password.  While I know this is possible it does not seem to be a feature activated upon a default install.  How do I turn on this feature?

    Hi Madam Curie,
Part of the problem is the phraseology is incorrect so I'll start with some basic so we are all speaking the same language.
One thing to realize is you can digitally sign any piece of electronic data just like you can use you pen to sign any physical object such as a piece of paper, some one's cast, a wall, or you photo for your fans. In the electronic world you can sign your e-mail, your Word document, or as far as I'm concerned (realizing that I'm biased ) the most important thin, a PDF file.
A digital ID in the electronic world is analogous to a pen in the physical world. It is what you use to create a digital signature. A digital ID is comprised of three pieces; a public key, a corresponding private key, and a block of text with some identifying information. When the digital IS is initially created the public-key is signed with a private key. If the public key is signed with it's corresponding private key the digital ID is know as a "self-signed" digital ID. If it is signed by a different private key, the owner of that key becomes the issuer of the digital ID that it signs.
A digital signature in the  electronic world is analogous to a wet ink signature. You use a digital ID to create a digital signature.
The next thing to realize is a digital signature is cryptographic blob of data and is not something one would normally see. If you are geeky enough you can decode one and view it in a special purpose viewer, but for the most part nobody ever sees the signature contents.
When you do sign a PDF file you can either create a visible signature or an invisible signature. In the case of the later, all you do is write the digitally signed blob of data into the PDF file and don't bother creating any visual representation. It's the visual signature that throws most people for a loop, but the key thing to understand is the visual appearance you see in the signature field (which is nothing more than a special purpose text field) is NOT the signature, it is just a representation of the actual signature which you never see.
The visual appearance is comprised of three things, a background (which by default is the PDF trefoil logo) and a foreground that is divided into two halves, text and a graphic.
Acrobat (and when I say Acrobat I really mean both Acrobat and Reader) will let you create a digital signature with any digital ID that you have that is within it validity period, and includes digital signature as a key usage. The digital ID can be saved in several locations that Acrobat has access to. One is file on disk. The file would have the .p12 or .pfx file extension and you would have to add the file to Acrobat using the Security Setting dialog. Another place the digital ID can reside is the Windows Certificate Store of the Mac Keychain. If you've installed the digital ID into one of the OS based storage locations Acrobat will find it without you having to do anything else. Digital IDs can also reside on hardware devices such as a token (they look like a flash drive) or a smart card (they look like a credit card with a gold chip).
So, if you have a digital ID, but Acrobat doesn't know about it need to search you computer for a *.p12 or *.pfx, find out where the file is, than use the Add ID function in the Security Settings dialog to attache the file.
Finally, after you find and attache the file you can modify the Password Timeout to require that a password is always required. Or, if you want to import the file into the Windows Certificate Store you can use the High Assurance option to require a password otherwise Windows will just assume that if you can log in to your desktop then that's good enough.

  • Transfer Digital Performer files into Logic Express?

I have some old recordings that are on a ADAT tape. A friend of mine said he could transfer them to Digital Performer. Does Logic open DP files?
    Paul

Unfortunately, as was pointed out, Logic Express does not open Digital Performer files.
Not does it import OMF files, nor Broadcast Wave files, which means you can't export time-stamped waves from DP and import into LE. If you know someone with Logic Pro, it DOES support Broadcast Wave. This could be one work around.
    Otherwise, you'll have two options.
    1) Import the ADAT recordings directly into LE using an interface that supports ADAT In (MOTU 828mkII comes to mind). This will only work if you can re-assign the inputs of the interface to be the first 8, since LE only "sees" the first 12. This is one of the major limitations of LE, and why it's not really suited for "pro" work.
    2) Import into DP, and then bounce the tracks in DP as separate WAVE of AIFF files, then import them directly into LE in the Audio Window. As long as each file starts (and ends, preferably) at the same time (i.e. as set in the DP bounce), you should have no problem aligning the tracks in LE7.
Number 2 is probably the best solution. Just remember that each of the WAVE files created in DP should begin at the same time (i.e. 0 0 0 0). This will GREATLY simplify the import into LE and make aligning the tracks a painless procedure. You can edit later in LE.
    Hope this helps.

  • Digital Copy Files

I purchased a digital copy file from Disney movie club. I entered the activation code and it loaded into Itunes. I can watch the movie through ITunes but I cant get it to sync to my IPhone. What am I doing wrong?

Are you using the Video tab in the iPhone section of iTunes? If not, you have to go there and check it to sync with your iPhone.
If you are doing the above and it's still not working, you need to give more detail as to what happens, otherwise we won't be able to help you.

  • Roadmap of Records Management (RM) & Digital Personnel File (DPF)

DPF (Digital Personnel File) is SAP standard solution to archiving of process forms and attachments at the end of HCM processes (created by HCM Processes and Forms Framework).
I read that until 2012 Record Management (upon which DPF is built) was SAP Certified solution to Content Management System (ECM). On 2012 SAP changed Records Management name to Folders Management and branded this tool with its new name, implying that RM is no longer SAP Certified Solution to content management.
So my question is: What is SAP current Roadmap of RM in general and DPF spcifically? and what is SAP current Certified solution to this issue?

    Thanks alot for your reply.
May be not the exact comparison, but atleast I could make out what are the added advantages using opentext.
DPF from HCM P&F also provides a folder structure irrespective of infotypes , but not all the listed features from opentext could be met.
Basically DPF is a wrapper on top of RM and it is also connected to Archive . So definitely opentext is way further to go.

  • Digital personnel file

I am implementing SAP record management currently for setting up a digital personnel file using the standard service providers ASR......  from SAP.
We have defined multiple roles (e.g employee and HR advisor). With the record model and authorizion roles I am able to give the correct authorization to both individual roles. Which means that every role is able to view or add the documents using individual element types.
The problem I am facing is that if an user has both roles how can I prevent e.g. the HR advisor of viewing the wrong documents of a person. The requirement is that a HR advisor is only able to view the documents of a person based on his advisor role, except his own file.
    Hope anyone can help out.
    Kind regards

I also looking to create new Anchor and put it in the standard one. But I still can not find how to do that. Please let me know if anyone can find how to link between new Anchor and RMS ID.
For your case, the problem is cannot assign to any folder or can assign but want to have new folder same as my case?

  • Digital personnel file configuration

    Dear experts,
First of all... Wishing a very happy new year.
I am new to HCM and Digital personnel files. Now actually I need to configure digital personnel file for HR personnel records, I had small experience in SAP Records management. I did some basic configurations for DPF, Now I want to check personnel records(DPF), but I dont understand how to check or where to check it. Actually I checked it in PA30, but could not find how to navigate to DPF. Also I would appreciate if somebody shares a step by step configuration guide for DPF config. I got idea of creation of records models etc... I am looking for your quick replies. Thanks a lot in advance.
    Best Regards,

    hi
you can refer to the link below.

Also for the DPF to work , as per the documentation you need to set up a single record model , you can check out the tcode organizer , but pre-requsite to that is the records management must be present in your system , you can take help of any basis person to check the same.
