• ES bundle scenario for Order to cash

Hi Experts,
I have to perform a scenario of ES bundles for Order to cash in PI.
Please provide me the pre-requisites to perform this scenario.
Also an approach to perform this scenario (Links to weblogs or articles if any are highly appreciated)
Regards,
Saravanan

You have to first go through the Enterprise Services for this process. Search for your ES Workplace and open the specific service. Then you understand which SWCV would be required to use this service. These SWCV has to be imported in PI And ECC. And thats it for the standard configuration. For modifications to standard process, you might have to implement some BADI.

• Technical and Philosophical Question re: Digital Signatures

My question is technical, but has a philosophical issue driving it.
Summary:
In Livecycle Designer ES2 (9), I would like to setup a form for digital signature that, once enabled for Reader, you can apply a digital signature without having to immediately save. I know it can be done. Example: http://www.opm.gov/forms/pdf_fill/opm71.pdf
Technical:
How is this done? Is it a setting of the signature field object?
Philosophical Underpinings:
1. I don't need the digital signature to be legally defensible, so I don't care if if the document changes after applying the signature, nor will any of the fields be locked down after signing. However, the digital signature everyone at my company uses is the legally defensible type, so using it instead of digital ink is for simplcity's sake.
2. When most people sign a paper document, they usually sign, and THEN date. The problem with Adobe et al.'s implementation of digital signatures is that you have to date, and THEN sign, or else the date field will usually be locked down after you are forced to save the document after signing. I know that a date field is not required when using digital signatures, but you need to date field in case someone decides to print the form and sign the old fashioned way.
3. Because of this conundrum, I made the date field auto-populate with the signing date by applying javascript to the signature field that populates the date field upon signing. The problem with that is that with Adobe forcing me to save the document immediately after signing, the date field does not populate because the signature applies to the version of the document that existed just prior to the signature being applied. Since the date field wants to populate after signing, it is discarded.
Hence, I want to prevent Reader from forcing me to immediately save. I am approaching this philosophical conundrum all wrong?
Signed,
Befuddled

"you can apply a digital signature without having to immediately save. I know it can be done."
Whenever a signature is applied, the form gets saved. So, you can't apply a signature without having saved the form. Do some modifications in the form you have provided, save it and validate the signature. Validation would suggest that changes have been done in the form, so signature is invalidated at this stage. This effectively means that data has been changed in the form after signing making it unreliable so to say.
Since you are moving to digital signing in the form, I do not understand exactly why there's a need to manually enter the date after signing the form digitally. Once you sign the form, date automatically comes in the signature. This solves the purpose/use case that user needs to fill in the date. Ideally, you need to remove the date field from the form.
"I know that a date field is not required when using digital signatures, but you need to date field in case someone decides to print the form and sign the old fashioned way."
If you can't remove the date field from the form and want to have a simialr experience in digital world, the option is to write a simple script in the form which checks whether the date is filled in or not. If it's not filled in, abort the signing process and provide a message asking user to fill in the date.

• Digital Signature when order TECO

Hello,
I have a requirement now where order TECO need to sign-off. This is requirement by the industry. What i am thinking of is using digital signature to achieve this.
I know digital signature can be configured for operation sign-off as explain [here.|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/da/49d9c433ff4985b2484b7b911123cf/frameset.htm] I don't need digital signature at all operation.
What i want is the digital signature when i TECO the order. Is this possible using standard/configuration or do i need to go into development?

Dear Chin,
It si not possible through standard SAP Customization.
As per standard SAP Customization (Activating EHP4 Business node for Electronic signature for PM Order) which is at the combination of PM Order type and Planning Plant - But this will be for PM Order operation confirmation though it will check at the time of doing TECO of PM Order.
It can be achieved using enhancement - by calling the gigital signature screen in PM Order TECO exit.
I already tried the same using the enhancement by creating new screen and checking the signature password while doing PM Order TECO.
I hope this will help you.

• To print Digital signature on the Purchase Order

How to print Digital Signature, on the PO Print copy (PDF).
It will be based on release strategy. Whoever is approving the PO, his signature should be printed automatically on the Purchase Order.
How to achieve this ??
Please let me know in detail
thanks
amit

Hi Amit,
I am not sure on how to get the the signature of the person who released the PO, because as per my understanding the Relase Strategy i.e the Relase code is attached to a Basis profile.
What I would suggest is if you can get all the guys who can release a PO and define him as a Purchaser ie. a Purchasing group then it would be easier to print his signature in the PO.
Here are the Highlevel steps
1. Just have the Signature you want to print in a Tiff format.
2. You can upload the signature as a standard Text using program RSTXLDMC to upload and give a text name.
3. call the text name in your sap scripts.
reward if useful.
Thx,
MJ

• Digital Signatures for PM orders

Hi!
Requirement: I am supposed to implement the usage of Digital Signatures in PM orders. The requirement is such that every time a PM Order is created, a couple of users must sign it off using digital signatures with the user's logon password. Similar operations must be done when the order is to be changed etc.
So, to achieve this, I followed the SAP AG Digital Signature Rel 6.2 Implementation Guide Ver3.0 . In a sample report as illustrated in the guide I used the objects cl_ds_runtime if_ds_runtime and if_ds_sign etc.
I followed all the steps listed there and right now through my report I am able to get a popup where the user has to enter his password and if he does not ti throws an error message. So far so good.
Now, my assumption is this: I will have to write a similar code and call the DS tool (these classes etc.) and make the user digitally sign the order through an enhancement. Am I correct in my understanding? Also Is there any other simpler way to achieve this? Currently the break point is not getting triggered in the only exit that seems to be available for this transaction.
Also, I created a set of signatures using ELSIG00 and Authorization Groups using ELSIG01. How do I assign these to the USERS? Otherwise the creation of these authorization groups and assigning of the individual signatures etc. would be rather pointless.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am kind of under a tight deadline and have gone through a lot of docs.
Needless to say points will be awarded for helpful answers.
Thanks a lot.
Regards,
Ramkumar.

I am not sure as how would get it. Please try in this way and we use it.
The signatures are scanned and are uploaded in SAP as a image file and are called back into the program as an image based on the required conditions.
I mean similar as the logo works.

• Java Mapping to Digital Signature (web service scenarios)

Hi All,
I'm working with Web Service Scenarios and I have a problem.
The Web Service has a Schema for validation data and I send data to method of WS, example:
Web Service Description
<SendData xmlns="http://www.sdn.com/schema.xsd">
<InputXML>string</InputXML>
</SendData>
For send data to "InputXML" is obligatory digital signature in Java.
I created a Java Mapping where get message of schema xsd, clear prefixes of tag and convert all schema to string.
Now Web Service response a error, because string is not contain "<" ">" just contain asc & lt; & gt;
Ex:
& lt;CodigoMunicipio& gt;2927408& lt;/CodigoMunicipio& gt;
In Debug Java Mapping in statement:
before
<CodigoMunicipio>2927408</CodigoMunicipio>;
rootelement.appendChild(element);
After
& lt;CodigoMunicipio& gt;2927408& lt;/CodigoMunicipio& gt;
And If use a rotine to convert it, in sxi_monitor generate a exception because not understand string field.
Can you help me?
Regards,
Bruno

Hi Bruno,
there are two ways to nest a xml document into another xml document.
The first one is escaping the XML, just like you did:
<document_one>
<input_xml>
>document_two<>tag_a<value&gt/tag_a<>/document_two<
</input_xml>
</document_one>
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1091945/where-can-i-get-a-list-of-the-xml-document-escape-characters
The other is using the CDATA tag.
<document_one>
<input_xml>
<![CDATA[<document_two><tag_a>value</tag_a></document_two>]]>
</input_xml>
</document_one>
http://www.w3schools.com/xml/xml_cdata.asp
Then, if your webservice expects to receive a XML document inside the InputXML tag, probably it will be able to handle one of these techniques.
Best regards,
JN

• Is it possible to use digital signature in Sales order of SAP B1 ?

Hi Experts,
Version: 8.81 PL07
Cyrstal report Layout: 2011
Is it possible to use digital signature in Sales order of SAP B1 ?
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Dwarak

Hello
Signature by scanned image is possible, you can create a function to do it. please note: images must be inside the reports, and hide them with a CR function.
For certificate based sigbature of CR is not possible, you must develop an addon for that which is do this functionality.

• Digital Signature in Business to Business escenario

Hi everybody.
I have the next scenario BTB Idoc to File. The Receiver System is outside our net and I need to guarantee the integrity and the confidentiality of the data with digital signature.
I have the next doubts:
- How can I confiugure the File Adapter Channel? I need to use an existing module to encrypt the file or I had to implement my own module?
- When the third party receive the encripted file, how does they decode the message?
Regards and thank u so much

Hi ,
In my knowledge you need to configure the file adapter by selecting FTPS instead of FTP. The is no need of writing the extra modules. Just deploy the necessary certificates. Regarding this certificates contacts your basis. They will help you.

• Digital signature for work order processing

Hi,
Have anybody implemented digital signature for work order processing? Can you throw some lights, what are the steps involved?
Requirement is when work order reach certain status, like on order release, on partial confirmation, on final confirmation or on Technical completion, digital signature needs to be captured. This is a regulatory requirement.
I read some threads that explains digital signature can be assigned to plant and order type combination, but i couldn't find this specifc config step, we are using ECC 6.0. Is anything needs to be activated before I can see these configuration steps.
With ABAP help I was able link digital signature tool to work order, but was wondering if this can be achieved through configuration as mentioned in some of the threads.
Also I have another requirement, like if you are doing a mass TECO using IW38 transaction, capture digital signature once and the same should be applied for all the selected work orders. Otherwise you have to enter your password as many time as the number of work order selected.
