DIP profile settings for quotaion creation?

Hi experts
I have to create quotation with reference to Plan cost thru ECP.For the same i have to assign DIP profile. So, i need to know what are the settings should be done in DIP profile steps (like in Usage , charaterstics,Sorces, selection criteria etc..) so that i can use it for quotion creation.

What is Treatment Code??
If you mean Sales Order / Delivery / Billing Document Type then you may follow the below path in SPRO :-
Order :- IMG> Sales and Distribution>Sales > sales Document>Sales Document header(VOV8)
Delivery :- IMG--> Logistics Execution > Shipping>Deliveries --> Define delivery Type (0VLK)
Billing :- IMG --> Sales & Dist. > Billing> Billing Document--> Define Billing type (VOFA)

ICX profile settings for Discoverer EUL

Hi, I'm using Discoverer 4i Viewer with E_Business and I create a new EUL.
How can I switch from the old EUL to the new one in order to see my reports ?
I found this note on the Discoverer Forum:
"Looks like you are using Oracle E-Business. If you launch
discoverer viewer from E_Business then your ICX profile settings determine
which EUL you be connecting to.
The ICX profile settings is in your E-Business profile settings."
Where can I find and modify my ICX profile settings ?

Thanks for your help guys, but unfortunately it doesn't still work....
My previous EUL was called just "EUL". Now I created a new one called "EULEXP" and I modified the parameter ICX_DEFAULT_EUL with the value "EULEXP", but when I try to access my reports from Discoverer Viewer, automatically into the URL call appear again eul=EUL and not eul=EULEXP as shown below:

1.Sales pricing.
2.Billing
a)Usage would be for the above two and for each usage you can mention the sales document types.
b)you can mention the souce determination like Easy cost planning for sales prcingfor the usage
c)characteristics inputs for souce determination like cost elemnt , activity types, personnel number etc.
d)for each of these inputs you can mention the groups also
e)Material determination -- these are the dynamic items -- states how the inputs have to appear on the billing document.you can map an input to one single dynamic item -- by marking the indicator "individual"
in addition you find selection creatia for selction of inputs and units of conversion

Creation profile settings for Scheduling Agreement

I have a question regarding parameters of Creation profile maintained in Scheduling Agreement.
In ‘General Parameters’, the Forecast delivery schedules there exists a parameter ‘FRC:Aggregation’.
I would like to know about the significance of using option ‘3’ as ‘FRC:Aggregation’ parameter in creation profile.
Please provide some details regarding usage of above said Aggregation parameter in Creation profile.

If you work with release creation periodicity and planning calendar (lets say delivery schedule every Friday) there might be schedule lines in between and these were aggregated to this fixed day.

Need suggestion on Color Profile settings for printing image

I am trying to print the image below on a Xerox Docucolor 242. Im trying to get a better understanding of profiles and all that, which I THINK I do now.
Under Color Settings in Indesign, I have under Working Spaces, RGB is set to my monitor brand and type and CMYK is set to my exact printer. I have both of the Color Management Policies set to Off.
When I print the RGB version of this image, everything looks ok except for a very faded look. Probably noticed mostly because of all the black background that is used. When I print the CMYK version of it, it seems to print nice and dark but there is a strong white halo effect showing around both the flames which doesnt show on the screen or the RGB printout.
Anyone know what settings are causing the faded look in the RGB printout and the halo effects in the CMYK printout?

As others have said, this is a complex process, but one that is solvable.
I agree with others the RGB profile should NOT be the monitor but the profile of the original image. For most midrange cameras this will be sRGB or Adobe RGB depending on the settings in the Camera when the images was captured. It is NOT arbitary and choosing the wrong profile will have a large affect on the image.
The CMYK profile for the printer is more complex. There are two steps in calibrating and profiling a Xerox printer. First the calibration, or linearisation, sets the printer to a known state that can be repeated. This is best done with a spectrophotometer and not the CalorCal software provided by Xerox which uses a known colour chart scanned from the glass of the copier. The glass method of calibration does not calibrate correctly at the black end of the curve actually turns over reducing the available black, and is due to reflections from the glass. Calibration is normally done daily.
When the calibration has been completed a full ICC profile is created by printing a profile chart of some 2000 colours and reading this with the spectrophotometer. This is only valid for a calibrated printer and for the type of paper used. Different papers will require different profiles. It is a once only operation.
Another thing to watch out for is how your RGB images are being converted to CMYK. There is a setting both in the Creative suite and in the printer to set the black compensation. What you want to achieve is the same black as in the original image. In the CMYK case this will be printed as a combination of black toner pus a mixture of CMY to incread the density. The profile takes care of this for you.
Your description of weak blacks suggests that the black me be being printed as pure black toner.

OBYC settings for PO creation

We are trying to post a PO for third party sale. The PR is generated automatically at the time of SO creation.
While creating a PO the GL picked up is from BSX with the error no direct posting are made to GL acct 174010- Standard goods for resale. Where as this GL account is having a tick for post automatically only.
Also I have a doubt whether BSX account should be picked up or GBB account should be picked. In this case for both transaction/event keys accounts are defined, but the system by default picks up the BSX account..
Suggestions are expected.

Hello,
First you should check GL account in FS00, why you do not made direct postings to that GL(174010) is it recon a/c? When it comes to OBYC i.e., FI-MM integration, BSX event key allows debit to Raw material Inventory account, GBB key allows offsetting to Raw material consumption account and WRX key allows credit to GR/IR clearing account.
While posting any inventories system should pick gl's from BSX key in OBYC

DPX export settings for DCP creation

I have a short film that's been accepted to a major festival that requires a DCP, and I want to create the DCP professionally. I would like to provide a true 24p DPX master to the DCP company.
My final film is a 4K sequence at 23.976. I have duplicate 24 fps 5.1 audio wav stems that were output from Pro Tools, so audio isn't a concern.
Okay - so I export my sequence and choose "DPX". I'm presented with several options: 24p Full Range (max bit depth), 24p Over Range (max bit depth), 24p Standard (max bit depth), and 24p Video (max bit depth). Huh? I'm a Jack of all Trades indie filmmaker, and I can't find a word about these options anywhere - not in the Adobe manuals, not in tutorials, not even via a Google search. And, although these options are all "24p", my output still clearly shows as 23.976.
What option should I select? Why the variables? And can I simply change the frame rate to "24" under the video tab?
Finally, will I be able to import this image sequence back into a new sequence in Premiere Pro to check the 24fps audio tracks for alignment and sync?

I just heard that DPX/Cineon was the best format to use for lossless colour grading. I also was starting to learn speedgrade, which uses DPX as it's main format. This is the first time I've attempted using any codecs specific to colour grading before. I used to export as AVI or quick time and grade that...
One of the problems i'm having is that I'm shooting on the 5D mk ii, which doesn't have anything near the colour depth of somethig like the scarlet..
I did figure out however, how to get rid of those lines. In AE down the bottom of the project tab, where the new compositions button is, there's also a colour settings button where you can change the sequence bit rate and output settings. So I got rid of the lines, but not I'm having issues with the output being over exposed in some places, and under exposed in others. But that's probably becuse of the limited colour space of DSLR's..

Settings for Idoc Creation on Transaction

Hi ,
what setting we need to do to ensure that whenever a Sales Order (or any tcode) is created via transaction Idocs are created.
Are there any settings required to be done in the Output Types (System->Services-Output Types)?
How to proceed for this.. wuld appreciate if someone gan give a clear and detailed steps to achieve the same.

If you wish to trigger a idoc on save for any SAP transaction.
1). First setup the ALE linkages between the sending system and receiving system
2). Create a custom output type for medium type 6 which is for EDI.
3). Assign the std SAP program RSNASTED and FORM routine EDI_PROCESSING ( Through tcode NACE --> Output types). If you are using a custom program define the custom program name in this setting.
4). Maintain condition record for the transaction. This can be done through NACE. Select the application and select Condition records. Maintain the condition record for your output type created in step 2.
5). Run the SAP transaction and see if the output types gets proposed.
Hope this helps. This is just in brief. The best option would be to follow a std SAP config already available in your system.

For the IW42 Screen, I have a requirement to ensure that all users see one profile only. Currently, we have to set it manually for each user. Is there a way to mass update many users so that they can see the one specific screen that can be set in the background?

Delete all other Profiles from the IMG
Then they can only select one...
Otherwise, write a program to update table TPMUS-PROFIL

Color Profile settings for a better print?

I need to print a CD label (using one of those cheap CD label templates) that consists of a photo and some text that will be placed on a CD. I will be using an HP laserjet printer http://www.amazon.com/HP-LaserJet-CP1525nw-Printer-CE875A/dp/B0044XSNHG My file is set to RGB, though it is printing much darker than I want it to.
1. Which color profile should I be using to make the colors on my label look better?
2. Any other tips, besides getting a better printer?

Typically, best inkjet prints occur when the image profile and the specific printer profile are used in conjunction with a brand-specific paper stock. The CD-label is a third-party paper, and the printer doesn't "know" how to best address it. Aside from calibrating your monitor to ensure that you are seeing something "close" to what the file is, you will probably find that you need to make color adjustments to the file in order to get the print color you want on a third-party paper stock. When confronted with this situation, I usually use a curves or levels layer for this, and label that layer "for printing."

As mentioned in the earlier reply you need to check idoc listing WE02.
You may also want to look into the partner profile- WE20 and see if what you are trying to pass thru has been set up correctly. Make sure the correct port is defined along with the partner details.
If you need to edit the IDoc , you can do it from WE02 by clicking on the segment and then going into the Change mode. The other option of re- processing Idocs is using the testing tool- WE19 or the re-process Idocs BD87 transactions.

Inherit user profile settings

I need some help to save couple of time managing profile settings for every user in our Agency. We use 10.6 Server, 10.6 on the clients and the Adobe Design Standard CS5. To use Adobes CS5 in a good way, many settings need to be stored in the users profile (like GREPs, printer joboptions, color profiles, etc.). Seperate from the huge time amount to configure every user on its own, it is more than possible to forget some important preferences. Is there any way to inherit from a adobe well formed user profile?
