Dir Sync is not syncing On-premises AD user Password with Windows Azure AD (Office365)

Hi All,
I have one situation to sync on-premises AD user and their password with Windows Azure AD. Following is the detailed scenario:
I have one parent Domain : parent.edu and other is child domain : child.parent.edu
I am moving Child domain users into office365. I am using Dir Sync with Password sync approach to achieve this. My dir Sync server belongs to parent domain. I have followed all guidelines step-by-step to sync user and Password with office365.
I am successfully able to sync Users to office365 but unable to sync on -premises passwords. When i am trying to run profiles event viewer is showing following error:

It seems your are not the only one which this Problem can occur. Have you had a Domain rename? And is the replication in the forest ok?

Sync does not sync my passwords - EVER

i started using sync now since foxmarks went down and have a few observations:
bookmarks sync - that feature is very, very slow. sync happens in minutes and sometimes not complete and I have to manual start sync numerous times until everything has been syncd
passwords sync - does not happen, EVER, none of my passwords are syncd.
that addon is not very good, I can't even make backups or see the contents of my sync folder online. There should be a way to save all your data so you can import it when you reinstall. having to rely on a slow and buggy sync is not good.

The developers included the features that they think are important and are trying to keep it uncomplicated as they can. Being able to view your data on the Sync server would have greatly complicated the encryption of your data and the retrieval of that data from the server. Unlike Xmarks, your Firefox Sync data is encrypted as it leaves your PC and then unencrypted when it is downloaded to Firefox or Firefox Home on another device. Your "Sync Key" is only good in Firefox, so your data can only be read in Firefox - no one else has access to your data in an unencrypted format. 
4. To recover your data from the Sync server, you either install the Sync extension on Firefox 3.6 or install Firefox 4 which includes Sync (once it is released) and you setup your account information on the new installation. You then sync the new installation with the data that is on the server. 
5. As far as speed of the sync goes, while the initial sync might take 30 to 45 minutes, subsequent syncing is done very quickly depending upon the differences in your data between the device and the server.

Palm TX will sync but not transfer data after installing 64bit drivers for Windows 7 using the USB cable. Does anyone have any advise?

@MikeNTxs - 64bit USB drivers have been available since April of 2010, and they do work. I've synced successfully to my Vista64 bit laptop many times via USB.

Same problem here... First i had to update my firefox to the shittest new version which i hate... The more firefox desktop updates the worse it gets. I'm still using firefox 28 cause its the best version ever...
Anyways so i updated my fiefox to latest 32 something version and installed firefox beta on android. It syncs everything except passwords. And no, i do not use the master password its always disabled!
Can somebody tell me how to sync the passwords from firefox desktop to android on latest version and perhaps maybe on firefox 28 to if thats still possible?
I can only say that syncing doesn't work for me on the latest firefox 32 and android beta firefox!

hello NissiBloem, firefox sync is not designed as a backup service but to keep multiple devices on the same level.
in order to access the data in your sync account you'd need three components: the '''username''', the '''password '''& the '''recovery key''' generated during the original setup of the account (you're prompted to print it/save it/write it down while setting it up).
in case you have all those three pieces of information available, you can go to ''firefox > options > sync > set-up sync > i have an account > i don't have the device with me'' in order to link firefox to your account.

Firefox Sync Reset, not syncing and deleting all addons from every device

I started to notice that some of my addons were being uninstalled randomly so I decided to unlink my three devices, make sure one was a master, set up sync and then sync the other devices. However, something happened and now my quota for addons is 6.0 KB, that doesn't seem like much for addons and when I sync on any other device, replacing the data on that computer with the sync data, all addons get unistalled. I tried changing the recovery key, deleted the account and created a new account with the same email address. I am at a loss. Ideas?

I tried the suggestions at the links above but they did not work. Every time I sync, all addons are uninstalled. I have to back and undo the uninstall on all of them to keep them.

My iphone will sync WILL NOT sync the Calendar on Outlook. Outlook is just blank

My iPhone will sync all other details but it will NOT sync the Calendar with Outlook - this just began this week - driving me insane - I need to have the Calendar on the iPhone working 2 way with Outlook so tha I can print off my Calendar for end of year review. Nothing I do will make them cross sync. I have also installed the iCloud but even this will not sync the Calendar on the iPhone with Outlook - frustrated - Mayo Ireland

Try going into settings - mail - outlook account - then uncheck the sync for calendar - then sync it back and see if that resolves the issue.

Sync is not syncing anything with iPad, yet states sync completed successfully

This just recently happend.
I was tyring to sync a couple new movies to the iPad, but they would not sync over. I tried setting to sync all movies, sync only those checked, or sync those in a specific playlist. None of these changes made any difference. I thought I would try to remove a few of the videos just in case it was a weird space issue, and noticed I could not remove the videos from my iPad by removing the check mark from the viedo (I also made sure Automatically include all was not checked, nor include movies from playlists). When that didn't work, I unchecked Sync Movies to remove them all. The Capacity bar showed the video allocation went from 5.7GB to .21GB. I syncd and it completed.
But when I checked on the iPad, ALL the videos are still there!
I tried to only sync 1 video, Update to the latest iOS version, unchecked to syn Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, etc, all to no avail. Even with Movies, TV Shows, and Pocdcast sync options turned off, it will not remove any of that content on my iPad, nor allow me to add new content, even though the sync states it completed properly. The more I dig through this, the more items I find not syncing. I just tried to sync a couple new apps, and they show as being on the iPad in the iTunes view, yet they are not on the iPad.
I tried rebooting, turning off and on all syncing, updating to latest 4.3.2,etc, all to no avail. Basically, the iPad is stuck in a frozen state with regard to syncing, the views in iTunes do not match what is on the iPad, yet all attempts at syncing complete normally.
My last resort will be to restore it to factory settings, and start with a new fresh sync if we can't figure out whats happening.

I've found the issue. Its due to the fact I've used a I Phone Config Utility to install iMovie on the first gen iPad. I've removed it and it is now syncing as it should. I'll have to reinstall iMovie again when I need it in the future.

Exchange active sync is not syncing calendar from my job's outlook

I have an iphone 4s and configured exchange active sync to have emails and calendar from my job's outlook.
I am receiving all emails from outlook server but no meetings accepted on outlook calendar are coming to my iphone.
What have i did wrong?
I tried unselect others calendars on iphone and keeping active only calendar from exchange, but it did not synced.
I tried changing from push to manual, but calendar meetings still does not come.
I tried to turn all off and on again, but it did not solved the issue.
What puzzles me is that emails from outlook server are syncing perfectly...
Please does anyone knows what is the problem here?

Assuming it's turned on in the settings for the account, ask your IT department.

Syncing, iphone4 not syncing videos with photos

when trying to sync my iphone 4 i have some video clips saved on my win7 computer and they will not sync to my iphone even though i checked the video box in photos

Sync does not sync anything

i have re installed win 7 in my laptop but given different name this time and downloaded firefox. I then signed in to sync. All seemed ok and the message popped up that it would syn momentarily. It does not sync anything. but in syn option i can see firefox connected to my account.

Give it a few hours for the initial Sync to be completed.

Firefox sync will not sync my bookmarks

I'm using Firefox 4.0.1. I have deleted and reinstalled Firefox Home onto my iPhone 4. Twice. I have deleted my device and reinstalled and re-synced. Twice. It will sync my tabs and history but will not sync my bookmarks. The app is up to date on my phone.

Sorry for the poor English. I don't know what happened there, but I can assure you I'm literate.

How do I sync my Iphone data to a recently bought PC with Windows 8?

Trying to sync my iPhone photos,videos, and music to my new HP Computer with Windows 8 but it keeps telling me if I sync that the iPhone will be erased and replaced with the data on the laptop (of which there is none). I used to own a Macbook pro but it got fried, that's the only other computer I believe the iPhone has synced to. I just want to take data from the phone and put it on the computer, not erase it. Thanks for the help.

You need to transfer the iTunes Library from your old computer to your new one.
