The code i am using for this:
<a href="index.cfm?del=yes&dirName=#Name#">
#Name# is the directory name passed in the URL, but
when i try to execute this stuff, it generate error.
Can anybody guide what is happening here.
Cheers

CFdirectory can;t use URL based paths, it needs to be the
full path to the folder; you cant just give it the folder name.
EX: E:\folder\foldername\
You would need to pass that path like above, and plus doing
it in the URL, it may get interpreted different due to URL
encoding. Space, odd characters, etc may get interpreted as '%' and
so forth.

    Hello,
    1)
May be the problem is a network connectivity issue. Do one thing copy the "cahce" folder from some other client PC(which has successfully opened IR and ID) to your client PC. The folder resides in "C:Documents and Settings<yourUserProfile>Application DataSunJavaDeploymentjavaws".
Copy "cache" folder to your client PC under the above path.

    2) Go to http://filp55.group.upm-kymmene.com:50100/rep/
Click on Administration -> Java™ Web Start -> Java™ Web Start Administration ->
    Try
    1. Re-initialization (then try logging)
    2. Re-initialization and force-signing (then try logging)
    3. Delete lock (then try logging)
Do this for IR and ID tabs.
    3) Check can be a firewall issue.
    4) Check wether sufficient roles have been assigned -> Tcode -> SU01 -> roles tab. These roles need to be assigned to your username

  • Two Related (?) file deleting problems in Finder and Time Machnine

My internal drive is partition into two volumes. In the second one (the "non-boot" one), I was have trouble putting files in the trash that were locked. As I was tracking that down I coincidentally(?) started having another problem.
I started getting a message that the files being put into the trash must be deleted immediately. I check permissions and I had read/write Privileges in the user account I'm normally logged into. However, If I logged into my administrator account, I could put things in the trash without deleting them. I noticed that ignore ownerships wasn't checked, so I checked that.
That allowed my to put files into the trash without immediately deleting them. I went ahead and deleted the files I wanted to get rid of. However, I'm wondering if there was another issue because I am lead to understand that the ownership privileges shouldn't have necessitated checking "ignore ownerships"?
Also, I had trouble deleting the backups of those files and folders in time machine. I can delete most of it. But for one folder (and all the folders in which it resides in the hierarchy) I can't deleted it. I tell it to delete backups of that folder (or folders it is in), I put in the password, and goes "ding". But nothing disappears...
(After I wrote this, I tried unchecking "ignore ownerships" and the problem did not reappear. I can still put files in the trash without the immediate deletion problem.)

Are you doing that via the Finder or Terminal? If so, that's not the way to delete backups. See #12 in [Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/FAQ.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of the +Time Machine+ forum).
And now I'm getting an error in time machine. "Files can't be copied onto the backup disk because it appears to be "read only"". I do get info on the disk, and my account has Read & Write privleges, but it say "You can only read" above that".
The Finder or Terminal deletions may have corrupted your backups. Repair them, per #A5 in [Time Machine - Troubleshooting|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/Troubleshooting.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of the +Time Machine+ forum).

I'm doing the deletion through Time Machine (I go into Time Machine, find the folder in the backup, and ask Time machine to delete all backups of that folder).
I did find the tip of unmounting the disk, rebooting, and remounting it. That Stopped messages about the disk being read only. However, the folder still doesn't delete. I'm also a bit worried about these being symptoms of some other problem...

  • SDB - delete problem/solution

    Hi Experts.
Is it possible to delete problem/solution from solution database? There is information in help that it is not possible to delete problem/solution, but that they can be archived.. But note 946030 says it is not available...

    Hello Piotr,
In version 4 it was released one note (730402) that allow us to delete some symptoms and solutions. However, this may lead into some inconsistencies if they're linked with documents. We've never tried to execute it.... but if this may help you, try it

  • Active Directory Adapater Problem

    Hi everyone,
I´ve installed Xellerate with OC4J against Oracle 10G Data Base. Connector Pack 9.0.3. Active Directory 2000
the reconciliation process is working fine but I´m facing a little problem. when I update one user in AD and the scheduled task is processed the user I have modified in AD is marked as deleted in xellerate´s user administration.
    any help is appreciated
    regards

Make sure the IP specified under WWW is correct & its working. Necessary network & firewall settings are deployed. If its working earlier & not working now means certainly, there are some changes being performed either at the network or firewall.
Check, whether you can reach to the site directly using IP, if not there is trouble at the network & firewall end.

    Hi Paul!
I've personally never seen this error message, but a quick search on Google (which you may have already done as well) for "Setting Computer Password FAILED Deleted Record" found someone else who had the same problem. His issue was firewall related and was fixed by opening some ports for AD. He also provides a link to a Microsoft KB article about this.
Hope this helps and good luck! bill

  • Oracle Primavera P6 Professional Attached Text Linked Directly to An Activity Delete Problem

    Hi All,
    We have a strange situation:
In one instance of Oracle Primavera P6 Professional (8) we have Attached Text which is Linked Directly (i.e. dependent) to an Activity.  I am unsure how this was achieved, because in another instance of Oracle Primavera P6 Professional (8) we have Attached Text which is NOT Linked Directly (i.e. independent) to an Activity; i.e. the situation is not duplicated in all instances of Oracle Primavera P6 Professional (8).  Both instances are standalone on separate PCs.
The problem is when we want to Delete attached text which no longer applies (e.g. last month it was valid, but this month, we no longer want to display the attached text); in the first instance, when we select the attached text and click on the DELETE key, we get a prompt to delete the "linked" activity!  However we do NOT want to delete the activity, we only want to delete the attached text.  In the second instance we have no such problem and we can deleted the attached text as desired.
For the first instance we have a workaround which is to double click the attached text and remove the text, so all that remains is a blank attached text "box", then saving the layout, but this is not ideal/desired; we want to delete the attached text.
    Does anyone have any ideas?
What should we be looking at with regards to Settings/Options, etc.
With Thanks in Advance, and Best Regards, Michael

    Excellent Blog. Thank You
Small clarification on Step **6) Oracle Home Directory, ...a) Resize the Root Partition**
Ubuntu 11.10 has Gparted available as a Ubuntu software download, DONT use that while trying the above step, instead download the ISO file from http://sourceforge.net/projects/gparted/files/gparted-live-stable/ gparted-live-0.12.0-5.iso (124.6 MB)
Burn that ISO file on a Blank DVD, reboot the Ubuntu , during startup select Boot from DVD Option if not already selected. this will take to Boot Menu Options of Gparted Live then select the first menu option, and this allows to do further action such as Re-sizing .
and once you have chosen and executed step a) . do NOT run step b) also that is "Setup External Storage"
I hope this minor clarification can avoid some confusion

  • Aperture flickr delete problem

I keep on encountering this same problem with the flickr section on Aperture 3.2.2, on Lion.
I drag a photo from a project into an existing flickr album. Then I decide I don't want it there, so I delete it from the flickr album.
I then find that the master and all versions are deleted from the original project, all has gone in the trash.
All the documentation says that if you don't want a particular photo in flickr anymore you can just delete it, but it seems that this deletes it from everywhere in aperture.

I work with referenced files in Aperture and just did the same drag and drop operation to get some of my images into an existing flickr album yesterday.
If you browse your flickr album (within Aperture) and right click on one exemplary image, do you see a "Show in Finder" entry?
I do see this (as I work with referenced files which are not imported in the library itself) and I just discovered that the reference is to the same original directory as within the project. Maybe it's a kind of "bug", at least I agree that this is misleading if not dangerous. That way deleting an image in the flickr album section means deleting the file globally!
My recommendation for the moment: Open the flickr gallery (website) and delete the images there. There is a flickr button at the bottom toolbar of Aperture to switch to flickr.

  • Backspacing/delete problems.

I'm still having problems when entering text. I've noticed it in browser test boxes like this one I'm typing in now, as well as in the Mail client. Backspacing (DELETE key) will stop working at seemingly random times. I can delete by selecting with the mouse; after that the key usually works normally for a time. I remember reading a post that suggests going to System Preferences/Keyboard/Keyboard Shortcuts and clicking on RESTORE DEFAULTS. If this works at all, it's only temporary.
I run Software Update on a regular basis. My browser is Safari (5.0.3 (6533.19.4)), Apple Mail client (Version 4.4 (1082))
    Any ideas?

    That's the correct result.
Repairing the permissions of a home folder in Lion is a complicated procedure. I don’t know of a simpler one that always works.
Back up all data now. Before proceeding, you must be sure you can restore your system to its present state
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
    chmod -R -N ~
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. When a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) appears below what you entered, it’s done. You may see a few error messages about an “invalid argument” while the command is running. You can ignore those. If you get an error message with the words “Permission denied,” enter this:
    sudo !!
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up.
Next, boot from your recovery partition by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the recovery screen appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, enter “resetpassword” (without the quotes) and press return. A Reset Password window opens. You’re not going to reset the password.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.

  • SYSMAN directory deleted

    Hi,
The oracle version is 10.2.0.5.0 on IBM-AIX. Accidently one of my team member deleted SYSMAN directory from $ORACLE_HOME. I want to configure DBCONSOLE(enterprise manager) but unable to configure it. Can anyone help me out to sort out the problem. Should i need to re-create the directory or any other method. I dont have any backup for ORACLE_HOME.
    Thanks,
    imran khan

    Lubiez Jean-Valentin wrote:
You may try to re-configure the Database Control as follow:
emca -deconfig dbcontrol db -repos drop
emca -config dbcontrol db -repos create
If the SYSMAN directory, which contains the scripts, has been deleted ... I suspect this will not work too well.
My feeling is that OP will need to do
    - a simple DB s/w-only install into a second ORACLE_HOME,
    - copy the directory to the live DB,
    - run your commands,
    - remove the second ORACLE_HOME,
    - and most important of all start doing proper backups. -)
I could be wrong, though. It certainly will be interesting to see how recreating the dbconstrol could recreate all the perl scripts that do the metric collection, as well as the other supporting dirs.

When doing an info on my home directory it says it is 999 GB! Booting into safe mode while holding down the Shift key the home directory then shows up correctly at about 400 GB. I've tried booting off of Disk Warrior disk and repairing the drive. I've also tried something I read about loggin in a root, draggint my filevault sparbundle file into Disk Utilty and repairing the file in there. None of these have worked. Also have used WhatSize program to try to find what the OS thinks is so big but it doesn't show any files or directories that are causing the problem.
Any ideas? The good news is I can operate failry well in Safe Mode but would like to get this figured out.

The consensus around here seems to be that if your disk gets too full, bad things can happen. Rule of thumb is that you need, say, a minimum of 15% free.  So you definitely need to delete some files.
