Disable approval/rejection at item level.

Hi All,
We need to stop the user from approving/rejecting a SC at item level.
On EBP Home screen , click on Approval link , then click on magnifying glass,there are two radio buttons .I hide the radio buttons with help of [this thread.|How to hide Approve and reject radio buttons at item level.;
Although the radio buttons are hidden but still if the user presses "Save" button the SC is approved by default because the Approved RBs are selected at item level.
How can I initialize both radio buttons ie. none RB is checked so that clicking save does nto approves/rejetcs  a SC .
Or can i use some BADI for this..please suggest.
Reagrds,
Anubhav

Hi Daniel,
As you said, its not possible to avoid approval/rejection at item level on click of save button and coding a new save button will be very complex so I created two radio buttons (approval / rejection ) at header level If the Approval RB at header level is selected , all the approval RBs at item level are selected automatically selected and same applies for rejection RB at header level. The item level RBs are invisible/hidden so the user has no idea of item level RBs.
Now I am facing two problems..
1)If I put the code for RBs in Template 120 , it also ahows up on other screens like in step2 , while creating the SC.
If i put the code in Template 140 , i get it in step3 while creating the SC.
In which template should I code the RBs so that they are visible in the approval screen or is there a way to know from where the template was called I mean was it called during SC creation or directly clicking on approval link  OR  can we check if the user has employee role or manager role so that the approval / rejection RBs are displayed only for managers ?
2) For this JS function to work perfectly , i need to know the number of items in the SC.
Which variable in the Template 120 of BBPSC01 contains the no. of items in SC?
Thanks a lot,
Anubhav

  • Approval status at item level

    Hi,
I need to know whether the shopping cart item is rejected or not.(need to know the approval status at item level) and then make the rejection reason as mandatory.
I tried to get the value of the flag DEDUCT_IND from each item, but it is never set to 'X' eventhough I reject an item.could anybody please tell me when this flag will be changed or is there any other way to find the approval status at item level.
    Regards,
    Rohini

What is your SRM Version  ?
If you have implemented process control workflow for Item level approval, then.
Once the approver rejects and item, the workflow sends the workitem back to the requester to make changes are accept the rejection. If the requester accepts the rejection then the workflow continues. If the workflow does not have any more approver then the shopping cart is approved and the line item which is rejected by approver is set to DELETE. i.e. BBP_PDIGP-DEL_IND is set to 'X'.

    Hi Mandy,
I think you can do through SHD0 Transaction by creating transaction variants.
If not possible there could be some customization from SPRO, consult with your functional guy.
    Check this enhancement MV45AFZZ
PERFORM USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION, I think in this perform you may disable, check this

  • PO Approval Workflow on item-level?

I have a requirement to implement an approval workflow when the price or cost center/internal order is changed on the purchase order.
The problem is that as I see it, standard SAP only allows approval on header level for Purchase Orders.
Is there a way to handle approval on item-level if for example the PO has 2 rows, we change the cost center on both these rows to different ones???
Based on this cost center, the approval should then go to the cost center responsible and then his boss and so on based on the org-structure.

    Hi,
Consider a example , you have a PO and this PO has three items IT1, IT2, IT3. Based on the cost center, you want to send the respective item for approval to the respcetive KOSTL manager .
Desgin your workflow in this way.
    1. Design a background activity step in  and a BOR method where it returns you all the items  of the PO and store these items in a multiline container element in the workflow container.
    2. Now next to the above step include a [BLOCK step|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/cc/18a8f409a93749b10e8dd9f9d81797/frameset.htm] in the workflow and choose par for each option and pass the items stored multiline container element. The use of the block step is it dynamically creates a parallel branches based on the number of rows in the multiline container element you mapped to the block step.
    3. Now Inside the block step create another bor method and include a bacground activity step. Now in this BOR mehtod what ever the item you import try to determine the manager of the KOSTL(Cost Center.) and who ever is determined pass that user(s) name(s) back to the workflow container.
    4. Next to this step include a decision step and choose the recipient type as expression and pass the container element in which  the KOSTL managers are stored, in this way you can send based on the item cost center to its respective manager.

  • AD-hoc approver n step item level shopping cart workflow

    Hi
We are on latest version of SRM and using n step item level SC approval workflow.
    The scenario goes like this:
    -     Requester creates shopping cart and workflow goes for two step approval.
    -     In the approval preview the requester is able to see both levels of approvers, which is correct.
    -     Requester now selects second level approver and replaces him with a ad-hoc approver. WE DO NOT WANT THIS.  Requester should NOT be able to replace an approver determined by approval badi. However should be able to extend approval step with ad-hoc approver say third level approver a ad-hoc approver. Also he should be able to change AD-HOC approvers ONLY.
    Thanks
    Joe

    Jo,
You may be able to achieve it in the BADI BBP_WFL_SECUR_BADI .
You can use the Business Add-In (BAdI) BBP_WFL_SECUR_BADI to determine whether
A shopping cart can be changed during the approval process
The approval workflow restarts when changes are made to the document
A reviewer/approver can be added or changedThese are the call scenarios (see import parameter SCENARIO).

  • ORDRSP mapping?? (accept / reject on item level... )

    Hi there,
I am trying to work out what fields need to be mapped in order to get an "Order Response IDoc" into SAP so that it simple says whether an item is accepted or rejected....
I have been looking in the E1EDP01 segment - at the ACTION and ABGRU fields.....
The ACTION field is meant to have the line item status (accepted / rejected / created etc).....but when I look at the value range of the data element linked to that field all I see is the following:
    001     Item added
    002     Item changed
    003     Item cancelled
    004     Item not changed
    005     Item locked
    091     Goods receipt
    092     Goods receipt correction
    093     Return
    094     Consignment
    095     Damage in transport
    096     General correction
097     Debit Advice for the Vendor from ERS
098     Debit Advice for the Vendor from New Valuation
099     Credit Advice for the Vendor from New Valuation
Where is the accept / reject field?
So if someone could please give me an example mapping of sorts that simply shows the absolute essential fields that need to be specified so that I can update SAP to say if an item was accepted or rejected?
    Thanks for the help
    Lynton

    Hi there,
I know about normal IDoc responses....that is NOT what I am looking for......I am wanting to create an "Order Response" IDoc and send it into SAP.
Here is the scenario.....and ORDERS05 IDoc gets sent out of SAP to a supplier.....the supplier sends back an ORDRESP to us that will tell us if an item is accepted / rejected etc.....so nothing to do with ALEAUD etc.....
I am wanting to know how to MAP the fields in the ORDRESP IDoc....or better yet what are the essential fields to fill in....
    Thanks anyway

  • Does SharePoint allow to Approve/Reject non-pending items

I am confused on the behaviour SharePoint is handling content approval, as sometimes it will hide the Approve/Reject links if the item status is not pending. While on some senarios it will allow to Approve/Reject items regardless of their statuses. Let
for example examine these two senarions.
I have a document library and I set “Require content approval for submitted item” under its versioning settings.
Now when users access the page , the “Approve/Reject” links will be disabled unless the page status is pending. For example this is an approved page and the “Apprve/Reject” links are disabled:-
However this is not always true, because if I access the same page but from this location “Site content>>Library”, select the page, from the drop-down menu there will be “Approve/Reject” link for the same page:-
So this means that there is inconsistency behavior inside SharePoint , as for the same item it will disabled “Approve/Reject” link while on other places it will enable them (as shown above),, so can anyone advice on this please , and if there is a reason
    behind this ?

    Hi John,
I tested the same scenario per your post, and I got the same results as you got.
It seems that this issue occurs with  lists and wiki pages libraries.
We will help to submit the issue to proper pipeline for you.
Again, thank you for your report which will definitely make SharePoint a better products. There might be some time delay.
    Appreciate your time and patience.
As a workaround, you can code to achieve what you want which is not an easy way.
You can use client object model to get the current selected items and check the _ModerationStatus of the items.
If the _ModerationStatus is equal to 0 (which means approved in SharePoint) or 1(which means rejected in SharePoint), then disable the Approve/Reject button.
In the meanwhile, you need to monitor the ribbon if the Files has been opened.

  • Item Level Approval in Incoming Invoice

    Hi Gurus,
I am new to the concepts of workflow and really dont have good experince to take up this job. But still I want to give my best shot and see if I can do.
I am trying to accomplish item level approval for incoming invoice using business object FIPP. I have below mentioned questions in this regards,
    1) Is it possible to achive item level approval for incoming(vendor) invoice using business object FIPP?
    2) If <b>YES</b> , Please provide me with some hints on how to achieve it.
    3) Is there any BADI available to enalbling this functionality?
Any kind of help in this regard is highly appreciated and rewarded.

Your solution design must of course depend on the functional requirements (specification). I can not (will not, I have a job to attend to even if I tend to spend too much time here on SDN sometimes) tell you everything that is involved in the workflow builder, nor what the graph should look like.
There is not one answer to these questions. You can probably find several (more than two) different technical solutions that meet the requirements. Not all will be equally elegant. Not all will be equally robust. Not all will be equally maintainable. Some will give a higher system load than others. And so on, and so on. <b><u>You</u></b> have to make the choices, not some fellow SDN-er far away from you and your customer.
<b>First question:</b> is approval of level 1 and 2 approvers performed independently for each item or depending on the previous level being completed (i.e. must all level 1 approvers approve before relevant items are sent to level 2 approvers)?
If they are handled independently, you can create a subworkflow and use dynamic parallel processing to instantiate it for all items. If there is dependence, you can perhaps use two dynamic parallel processing steps, first for level 1 approvers and then for level 2 approvers.
<b>Second question:</b> what happens if an approver rejects an item?
There is no easy way out, you have to spend time to find out what the best solution is. I'm not here to spoon-feed anyone any solutions, but I don't mind telling what my ideas are. OK, once in a while I will actually give someone a complete solution, like many others here, but that's mostly to very specific and limited questions. Your query is very broad and nearly unlimited in scope.

  • Item level permission on workflow task List using sharepoint designer 2013

    Hello All,
I have created a custom approval workflow. Workflow create a Task in Tasks List.  Now suppose A task is assign to user1.
User2 should not able to edit\approve\reject the item.
How to give item level permission using SharePoint designer in SharePoint 2013 workflow.
SharePoint 2013 workflow doesn't have impersonation steps also.
Please suggest how to give permission on task list based on assigned To field.

In order to change permissions on a list item you'd need a sharepoint 2010 workflow according to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj728659.aspx
Unfortunately this functionality is not available in SharePoint 2013 workflows :-(
The impersonation step still exists, but it is now called "App Step" in the SharePoint Designer 2013 Ribbon. This step is disabled, though, until you activate a web site feature called "Workflows can use app permissions"

    Hello,

  • Moving the Shopping Cart workflow forward in a approver Rejects a line item

    Hi Friends,
We a facing an issue while Shopping Cart Approval process.
We have designed our SC Workflow , with Schema and 4 Process levels. Currently the Approvals are happening fine.
Issue is happening when a Line Item is Rejected by a Single Approver. The Approval process does not move forward.
We need need to move the SC process forward.
    Ex: SC: 1000000032
    Approval Flow:
    ITEM1:  APP01 -> APP02
    ITEM2:  APP05 -> APP07
    Scenario:01 :
Once APP01 & APP05 approves in first level.  Then APP02 & APP07 approves . Then the process completes.
    Scenario:02:
Once APP01 Rejects & APP05 Approves in first level. Then the SC WF does not move forward.
How can I move the WF process forward once a approver rejects.
    Need your inputs.
    Regards,
    Jagan

    Hello Markus,
what you describe does not correspond to condition standard determination to know if decision has to be checked or not.
Indeed, this evaluation is done by /SAPSRM/IF_WF_PROCESS_SBWF~IS_DECISION_ACCEPT_REQUIRED method from /SAPSRM/CL_WF_PROCESS_SBWF class.
Inside this method, the default behavior is based on decision of current process level:
    - If it is not "rejected" or not "approved" (this means, if it is "inquired"), there is an interaction
    - else, there is no interaction.
Then, for "rejected" or "approved" decision, a Business Rule evaluation is done in order to check if the document responsible need to accept the current decision.
If evaluation ID is true, acceptance by Contact Person is required.
I am currently not able to check workflow behaviour for partial rejection when no acceptance by contact person is customized.
I will see this next week.
    Regards.
    Laurent.

  • SRM 7.0 'Add Approver' button disabled after rejection

    Hi Experts,
I'm working on SRM 7.0(BRF) RFx workflow. I have configured the process level schema and the acceptance by contact person in customizing. When any of the approver rejects the document, it comes back to the creator which is right. But i see the 'Add Approver' button as disabled. But while creating a new document it is showing the 'Add Approver' button, only after rejection, the creator is seeing the button as disabled. Is it the standard behaviour in SRM7.0 ?
Can you guys share your thoughts on this..
