Is there a way to enable or disable printing and export facility in the client based on report server roles. In our case some group of users only needs read access and so we want to prohibit export and print facility.

How to Disable Print Button in document.htm?

Hi,
I'am using HAP_DOCUMENT BSP applications for Appraisal.I had creatde iViews for that BSP's in Portal and am able to acess all the BSP's.
I'am using document_created.htm BSP for displaying Created Appraisals and it is working fine.When i click on particular Appraisal mentioned in that iview it will move to next page i..e.,document.htm where we can see the complete description of the Appraisal.Now we had 5 buttons in that page
Action Log,Exit,Display Scorecard,Disaply Qualifications and Print.
Now i want to disable Print Button.I searched a lot but am unable to find the exact code written for this Print button.I dnt know much abt the coding of BSP's,please anybody guide me with a solution.

Instead of disabling the print buttons, you can restrict creating the actual output message for a specific output type.
You can achieve it by creating the Output Requirement in transaction VOFM. You need to assign this requirement to your Output type. In this Requirement you can check all your conditions. If they all validation pass through than and than create the Output.

How to disable Print button on WebDynpro ABAP ALV

In WebDynpro ABAP, a standard menu appears around the ALV, that has a PRINT button and an EXPORT button.
Is there anyway to disable those buttons????

Check the interface if_salv_wd_std_functions. It contains methods which are used to hide the standard ALV toolbar buttons.

I could not understand what you want to control i mean the functionality like you dont want to show print button to users or you want some requirements in print button like the printing should go directly in printer etc ect. can you explain a little bit more your requirement.

3) my last problem its, i am not sure how to disable the print button.i need to show an error message for my invoice via vf03 when error occur when user click print or print preview button. however with my code above, i am only able to display the error message and disable the print preview.

Printing/Disabling print button

Hi,
I don´t want users to print using the standard print button of Acrobat. To do that, I used the PDF security functionality (in File | Form Properties).
I do want, on the other hand, the users to print using a custom button on the form that uses the xfa.host.print function. However, I realise that this function will not work due to the first parametrization.
Is there a way to enable the second functionality while maintaining the first one.

You could hide the print button on the toolbar. See the hideToolbarButton() method in the Acrobat JS Guide. However, that won't stop a savy user from doing a standard print. The only way to do that is to disable any printing at all (including your custom button) and even in that case, it wouldn't stop someone from taking a screen shot and printing that.

This setting can now be achieved through a web dynpro (Java) API (interface <a href="https://media.sdn.sap.com/javadocs/NW04s/SPS7/wd/com/sap/tc/webdynpro/clientserver/adobe/pdfdocument/api/IWDPDFDocumentAppearance.html">IWDPDFDocumentAppearance</a>). In web dynpro ABAP you would need to use the method handler of the <b>InteractiveForm</b> UI element (IF_WD_IACTIVE_FORM_METHOD_HNDL, SET_HIDE_TOOLBARS).

How To Disable Print Button And Download Button In PDFViewer In Firefox? I just love the pluggin but my boss want it can be disabled, just to show the pdf.

I just develop a web based program that my boss want to just show a pdf to his employee... but that my boss just want to show that pdf and cant print or save or download it... thanks... sorry for my english...

Sorry, your boss can't control what happens on a users PC. A website can't change what plugin is used to display a PDF file in Firefox, not can a website disable or block access to features or controls in the PDF Viewer.

Print Button in paper Layout reports

I have created a paper layout report with desformat = html.Its working fine.
Now my requirement is to print the report after the report is displayed on the browser.
Can I keep print button in reports ?
Please suggest me a solution.

Add some javascript to your report to submit the page to the printer. Use one of the report escapes (look at the properties of the report...double click the report in the object navigator). You can actually add some javascript in one of those escapes to submit the print job after the page has been loaded. I have never used one of those report escapes but that should work.
if you can do that, you should also be able to add an html button to the top of the page to accomplish the same thing or add a hyperlink to the report that submits another report with desformat = pdf which will probably print out much nicer. All of this should work with using report escapes.

Sending Print through Push Button in report...

I'm running report with 'DISABLEPRINT=Yes' and 'DisableFile=Yes' parameters. Now can I send the print of currently displaying report to a printer without rerunning the report...I mean is there any print command in reports???

I'm using Reports 6i. My report layout style is Group Above. I've adopted this technique coz in this report I'm generating an important document which should be printed only once in normal conditions. So to avoid multiple printing of this report I've disabled File menu(to prohibit generation of PDF etc) and Print Button. Now the report will generate only thru a button I've placed into the report and it'll check there whether user is printing for the First time or more.....Ok??? is it enough???

In IE, the print button displays, but in Firefox and Chrome, it does not display.

The common workaround about print button on ReportViewer control for non-IE browsers is add ActiveX print control or create Print function. It has pros and cons.
I am not good at programming. But you can try to disable page breaks by setting InteractiveHeight to 0 so that the report will rendering in single page with Report Viewer control.

I have developed a report for displaying a graphical hierarchy.But the 'SAVE" & 'PRINT' button is in disable mode.
I am using the 'GRAPH_HIERARCHY' function module for displaying the graph.

Hi Sathish,
You can create your own PF-Status by copying it from the standard PF-Status of the output list. Then you include the print & save button.
To get the GUI status of the output list follow menu path SYSTEM => STATUS to get the GUI status & its program.
Go to SE41(Menu Painter) => enter the Standard Program & status name & click on copy button to copy these to a Z one & then finally use it in your program using SET PF-STATUS statement.
