Disabling the Print function because of blank required fields

The form created has required fields, if one or any of these fields is not answered I would like the 'Print' function disabled and a explanation popup for the users to see why. I noticed that the Email button won't work and a popup appears if any of these fields is left blank.
Any help?
Frank

Required fields should prevent submitting. They do not prevent the
user printing, because a user can print at any time. You cannot
selectively prevent printing at all (and what if a user wanted to
print out a partial form for discussion, evidence, or problem
reporting?) Adobe's programmers have clearly thought in terms of
enabling users, not restricting their experience. Right or wrong.
What you COULD do is have a printable but hidden field which says in
large letters that the form is incomplete, do not accept. Checking
scripts can hide the form from printing when conditions are met.
You could also wait to be notified of printing, and warn the user that
their printout is unacceptable.

  • How To: Disable the Print button until Required Fields are filled out

I have a PDF Form that I have created using LiveCycle Designer 8. On my PDF Form, I have a bunch of fields that are required. Is it possible to disable the Printer button until the user fills out all the required fields? We don't want a user being able to print out an incompleted form.

    It's not possible.
However, you can create buttons on your document that "help" the user print
just a part of the document: a certain page range, just the current page,
    etc.

    HI!
I have the same problem =)
I have fixed this issue using the "app.fs.isFullScreen = true;" statement.
Doing this you don't see toolbar anymore.
You can use "hideToolbarButton" instruction and, maybe, you can obtain a more interesting result.

  • MSI installation, how to disable the online functions (like Cloud and login)?

How can I disable the online functions which need a login with the adobe id? I want to do this while I install the Adobe Reader DC with the MSI installer.

    Hi Yannic,
I can understand your concern, however Document Cloud is a core part of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and Adobe Acrobat DC so it cannot be disabled. If you don't want to use this feature then you don't need to sign in.
If you really feel that this does not suites your requirement then you can uninstall it & re-install Adobe Reader 11 Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions.
Let me know if you have any further queries.

Can you completely disable the wireless functionality and use the Airport Extreme Base Station as a wired internet router with integrated print server?

Yes. I do that. I don't use a print server but I was using that port for an HD. My AExpress connected to it is wired also.

  • Enabling the printing function of your HP Laserjet M1005 printer

If you wonder how to install the printing function of your HP Laserjet M1005 printer, here is listed a bullet list of the actions. This has just been tested out thanks to the Support team from Germany
Go to the page http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=1 839459&lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=1839458&taskId=135 and select the link Mac OS X; download the link "HP LaserJet M1005 MFP Mac OS X Full Software Solution"
Use the opportunity to update your printer firmware by selecting the link "Printer Firmware Update"
Shutdown your Mac and start up in the safe boot mode (should be the combined keyboard shift and power on/off - refer to the Apple web site for details)
Run the downloaded SW package listed in the step 1
Go and select under system settings printer and fax, follow the step-by-step instructions to have a printer installed
Shutdown your Mac and start up again in the safe boot mode
Connect your printer and the printer SW installation message shoud pop up requesting you to install it
SW download process should appear and run
Be aware that just the printing function will be available - no scanning function so far
For those who may be interested in knowing why safe boot mode: it is likelz that my anti-virus SW Kaspersky denied the installation.

  • How do I use the print function to output a numeric variable with a fixed amount of leading zeroes

I need to create an output from a T-SQL query that picks a numeric variable and uses the print function to output with leading zeroes if it is less than three characters long when converted to string.  For example if the variable is 12 the output should
be 012 and if the variable is 3 the output should be 003.
Presently the syntax I am using is PRINT STR(@CLUSTER,3) .  But if @CLUSTER which is numeric is less than three characters I get spaces in front.
    Please help!

    >> I need to create an output from a T-SQL query .. <<
NO! NO! In RDBMS, we have a presentation layer that handles displays. We do not ever do it in the database. This is fundamental. But more than that, the purpose of PRINT is for debugging in T-SQL and never for output.
You are still writing 1960's COBOL or BASIC, but you want to to it in SQL.  You probably picked the wrong data type (a numeric that should be a string) and are trying to repair your design error.

I’m trying to follow HP’s instructions to add a driver for HP Color Laserjet CP 1215 which is connected to my Time Capsule. However, in System Preferences I can’t “add” the printer to the print queue because I don’t have a driver and you have to select a driver before the add button becomes active.  Therefore, the Mountain Lion software update doesn’t add driver software for the CP 1215 driver because I was unable to add the printer to the print queue.

This printer doesn't seem to be supported in ML:

You could try the 1515 driver or use the Generic PostScript Printer PPD when adding the printer.
    Hope this helps.
