Disappearing movie rentals on ipad

Just downloaded 2 rental movies thru iTunes -- but can't find them in the Videos section...
Where else should I be looking for them on my iPad??

With the restrictions setting, I think you can set age restrictions on movies and games and things like that which may have "blocked" the movies from view. A parental control thing if you will. I don't use restrictions so I'm not sure exactly how they work but I have seen a few users who have wondered why they were not able to download or sync apps but they forgot they had restrictions enabled. Once they turned off restrictions, they were good to go. I thought that would be worth a try.
I wish - and I know you do as well - that someone else would chime in and impart some wisdom on this one. I have seen a couple of other posts about disappearing rentals, but I can't remember if there was any resolution other than to contact customer support and ask to download them again.
Good luck, sorry I wasn't more help. I hope iTunes support comes through for you!

How do you get a movie rental on iPad air to show up on iPhone 4S so we can watch??

You can't, rentals are one-time only downloads, and from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1657 :
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

Please help! We spent 2 hours downloading a movie rental to iPad and it's not appearing in purchases

THANK YOU Demo.  Why in the world doesn't iTunes tell you that it's going to put the movie there, in a completely separate app?  I hate iTunes.

    Hello Trevor,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with your movie rental.  You have taken some really great steps to troubleshoot the issue.  I recommend following the steps in the following article to report this to the iTunes Store:

  • Movie rentals on iPads

I recently rented a movie on my iPad, it was fully downloaded and everything, but when I tried to play it, a message appeared saying, "Could not load video." Help?

If it was fully downloaded, you need to make sure you have a good internet connection when starting to watch the movie.  The time you start to watch it must be recorded to "start the clock" on your rental.

  • Movie rentals on iPad/iTunes

I rented 2 movies from iTunes on my iPad, but after the download I'm not able to find them to watch.  I logged out of iTunes, and back in, but still no movie rental icons.  Any help appreciated!

    Where did you look?
They should be in your Videos App

  • Movie rentals on iPad (using iTunes)

This may sound silly, but... When I rent a movie on my iPad and it expires after 24 hours, does the storage memory free up? Thanks! Kiefer, CA

    Hi Kiefer!
    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
It's not a silly question at all since there's really nothing intuitive about it. The movies won't be playable after they expire but you have to delete them yourself. From the Video app, press and hold the movie's icon for about three or four seconds until a little x comes up in a circle at the top left. Click that x to delete the movie ( and all that precious space it takes up) from your iPad.
    Cheers!

  • Remove expired Movie rentals from iPad

    Hi gang,
I rented and watched a couple of movies on my iPad. They have expired. They still show up in the video app and are not watchable. How can I make them go away. iTunes says I've got over 3 GB of video content which MUST be those movies because I wouldn't have much else, and I want them to go away.
    Thanks,
    dp

    Hi folks,
I read renting a movie running ios 4.2 in IPAD would mean:
    - Rent and watch (no more download, cause renting and downloading was possible before)
What do I have to do to rent a movie in ITUNES on IPAD or IPHONE and watching it IMMEDIATELLY? No download - is it possible?
    Thanx

Could you mean transferring a rental bought on an Ipad to a computer? From the following:
