Discoverer Report View - Change color?

Any idea how to change the blah color of the Cross-Tab report viewer to some other color or at least a lighter color?

OK, call me stupid but I can't find this setting ANYWHERE!
I hate to sound like a clueless idiot but can someone please supply a screenshot of this option?
I am currently looking at the General Tab in iTunes Preferences (in iTunes 9.0.2) and this is what I see:

  • Report Designer change color

I created a report using Report Designer and would like to change color of the field base on the data criteria.
I want to add code using Report Function, but I am not sure how to enter code there and which language I can use.
Can you please advise me a example how to do the task?
Your help and information is great appreciated,

    Hi,
    it's a setting...
just select the section you want to change to another place, and then select the tabpage "properties"
There you have an option : 'position'
The first section in your report (top of page) has position 1, the second position 2...
So if you want to swap the last section to the first place, just change the position to 1...
    Ciao!

  • Crystal Report Viewer changes font

    Hello,
I am having an issue with Crystal Report Viewer NOT displaying the correct fonts. Below are the steps to recreate the issue
    1) Created a Blank Crystal Report using Crystal Report 2008.
    2) Added a few fields in them and selected the following font for all the fields :Courier 10 cpi
    3) Saved the report with data.
    4) Viewed the report using Crystal Report Viewer 2008.
    5) The fields displayed in this Report Viewer is NOT Courier 10 cpi.
Please tell if there is a fix for this problem. Please Note that using a different font is NOT an option since I will be printing the report to a Dot Matrix printer. Using a different font will slow down the printing speed.
    Thanks
    Krishnan

    Hi Carl,
There is a font named Courier 10,12,15(VGA res) installed on the machine.
Also  the Courier 10 cpi is selected on all fields on the report. But when I view the report from CR viewer, it changes to a different font.
Also the report does not print properly to the dot matrix printer. The speed of the report is very slow and the page alignment is off. The first 2 lines of the 2nd page are printed at the end of the first page. The first 4 lines of the 3rd page prints at the end of the 3rd page and it keeps getting worse by each page.

  • Width of Report view changes in Oracle Workspace

    Hi,
I'm having a problem with BI publisher. With some reports for example the Inventory Adjustment standard report supplied with Oracle retail and BI publisher when selecting values of parameters in the dropboxes and fields the paramter fields width changes and you have to side scroll to reach the end of the report.
This problem is in Oracle workspace when opening BI publisher reports. It only seems to affect certain reports.
So when selecting the first paramter and generating a report the width of the report and paramter field above is as wide as the screen resolution.
But when selecting a secondary paramter for example to get a more fine grained view of the report the entire report field including the paramter field doubles in size and you have to scroll far sideways to see the right side of the workspace and the report field.
Has anyone else encountered this issue and are there any suggestion on how to solve this?
    Best regards,
    Gustav

  • Customize Report Viewer Frame and Colors

I am using the CR report viewer (2008) from within a .Net UI application. I would like to customize frame and background colors of the viewer control. (not the background color of the report area itself).
I can't find anything in the properties to get a rid of the light gray frame and the gray background left and right of my report pages. We are using our own styleguide for UI design and I would like to get a seamless integration of reports into our frame design.
Hope anybody has some hints for me.
    Dirk

    Hello,
I alread tried most of the viewer properties (BackColor, BackGroundEdge, etc...) before I posted my question here. Unfortunately it seems not to be that simple.
Changing properties of some underlying controls I got one step further...
The gray borderline and the dark gray background are not part of the viewer control itself, but under control of some of the underlying control elements. F.e. I am able to get rid of the dark grey background when I change the BackColor of the tab page control.
I am still fighting to get rid of the ligth gray and black borderline, that seems to be created by the tab control istself. Unfortunately it is not just the BackColor or ForeColor I have to change here. If any body has an idea, it will be helpfull.

  • Discoverer report accessible through Desktop but not through Viewer

Does anyone have a hint for me about this problem: we can use a Discoverer report via Discoverer Desktop, but when we try to access the same report through Discoverer Viewer, we get an error message: the page cannot be found.

It sounds like discoverer viewer may not be correctly configured or the permissions on the database account may not be correct. Can you run any reports through Discoverer viewer as any other user? What version of Discoverer are you running?

  • How To View a Discoverer Report In Oracle Applications

    Hi All
    I have 1 problem...
    Im using Oracle Discoverer 4i.
I have connected to Oracle Applications through Discoverer Administration and created a Business Area and created a report and able to see the report in Desktop Edition, which i connected to Oracle Applications in Desktop Edition also.
But now my question is how to see that Report in Oracle Applications when i connect to Oracle Applications through explorer and selecting a responsibility
when i connected to Oracle Applications im not getting the report which i have created.
Is it possible to view a report in Oracle Applications using Discoverer 4i..
Please can any 1 help it out ..its very urgent..
    Thanks in Advance..

    Hi,
You need to have an Apps mode EUL so that you logon with an Applications username and password. You then need to grant privileges to your responsibilities and also set security on your Business Areas so that they can be accessed by your responsibilities.
Once that is set up, you can create form functions so that you can add links to Discoverer reports in your Applications menus. Metalink Note 278095.1 explains how to do this.
    Hope that helps,

  • How to change default Export Format Type in Crystal Report Viewer

We are coding in VB.NET 2005 using the CR2008 SP1 .NET objects.
The Crystal Report Viewer, when displayed, defaults the export type as .rpt (Crystal Reports).
We distribute our .NET application to our customers.  99% of the time, this .rpt format is useless to our customers as they do not have crystal reports developer.  They usually export to a .pdf or .xls format.  Is there a way to default this export option to something other than .rpt?
    Thank you.

Yes, that's as much as I figured.
With the Crystal for .NET methods, the CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine's reportdocument object has an ExportToDisk method.  We wanted to use this (as we used something similar with the RDC) to prompt the user to export.  However, the reportdocument's exporttodisk method does not have an argument that allows for Prompting the user (true/false) like the RDC's export did.  You have to actually know ahead of time the type of export the user wants as well as the filename.  Well, we do not, and therefore, want the user to be able to select the type of export they want as well as enter their own filename.  We want the Crystal methods to prompt for this.  Since we are unable to, we've had to resort to declaring a reportviewer object and setting the viewer's reportsource = to the reportdocument.  We then use the ExportReport() method which defaults to .rpt (which none of our end users have Crystal Developer).  This is why we want to know if there is a way to reset the default export method to something more common (such as .pdf or .xls).  Is there a way to change the reportdocument's file type in order to default the export type?  Just trying to come up with some sort of workaround...
    Thanks

    Dear Sadashivan
    Thanks for your info.
I tried the way you mentioned.
However, the thing I want to do is not to change the font color of specified column.
The thing I want to do is to setup the threshhold such as percentage or amount
and emphasize the data which over the threshhold by changing the color
    automatically.
    Thanks anyway.

  • Reporting: Change Color on Prompt fields

I need to know if we can change color options for prompt fields?
    Thanks,
    Rick

    Regarding prompt feild no idea.
We can change the colour of that data which comes after prompting parameter.
I mean  you have created a parameter Country then you can change the colour of field based on parameter by writing formula.
Right click on field-> Format field->Font tab->on color clik on X-2
write formula if {?My parameter}="USA" then red
Have a look to Sample reports:

  • How to view changes to expense reports

I am trying to find a way of viewing changes to an Expense Report.
In PR05 there is a history but it does not provide details about the change. I have also looked at PRTE and cluster AEND but again this does not provide the details that our business users require.
Does anyone know if there is any other way of viewing the detail of changes to an Expense Report?
On a related issue we have found that in PR05 the approver name is showing as the workflow user rather than the user ID of the person who approved the trip in the Portal. Can this be changed to the actual approver ?
Thanks for any help with this
    Stephanie

    Hi,
I think T-code PRTE provides only screen level changes (i.e who , when creates, save or updates by whome)
For detail level changes in expense reports you need to activate Define History and Archiving of Forms
    V_T702N_R26_R27
Please note that this is ONLY available with EHP5 BC 605 FIN_TRAVEL_3
    Following is help available
    _________________________________________________________________________Use
In this step, you can activate the following functions:
    History
If you activate logging of history, the system logs the changes to travel requests and expense reports. Users can display the history in the following user interfaces:
Personal object worklists (POWL) for travelers, assistents, and approving managers on the Web Dynpro ABAP-based user interface of Travel Management
Transactions of the travel expense report in SAP GUI; for example, in the Travel Expense Manager (transaction PR05) or in the Travel Calendar (transaction PR02)
If you do not activate logging of history, the system automatically logs the changes made to expense reports (as in earlier releases). Users can display the change history only in the transactions of the travel expense report in SAP GUI.
Storage of Travel and Expense Forms in the Archive
If you have activated logging of history, you also can define that the travel request forms and expense report forms are to be automatically archived when certain events occur. You can determine which of the following events triggers the archiving of a form:
When processing of a changed travel request or expense report is handed over from the user who makes the change to another user
When the status of the travel request or expense report changes
When a user saves the travel request or expense report
You can archive the Adobe PDF forms or HTML forms for travel requests and expense reports, but not the forms for travel plans. If you use an ABAP list form, the system first converts this form to an HTML form and then archives the HTML form.
In the following activities you define which kinds of forms the system uses:
For travel requests, see Define Enterprise-Wide Control Parameters and attribute HTMLFORM_R_P.
For expense reports, see Travel Expenses Control (Expert View), Other Settlement, field 24.
    Requirements
The following prerequisites must be met:
You have activated the updating of statistical data when trips are saved; see Define Structure of Trip Statistics.
You have made the basic settings for ArchiveLink; see Basic Customizing for ArchiveLink.
    Note:
If you want to archive Adobe PDF forms, the document type PDF under Edit Document Classes must contain an entry with MIME type application/pdf.
If you want to archive HTML forms, the document type HTML under Edit Document Classes must contain an entry with MIME type text/html.
    Standard settings
By default, history logging is not activated.

  • Page is refreshing when changing parameter in sharepoint 2010 report viewer

    Hi All,
I have uploaded a rdl file to sharepoint 2010 docuement library. When I click on this rdl file, it opens the report in a reportviewer.
I have 4 parameters year, month, country, location(its is dependent on country selection).
Now the issue is if I change year, month, and country it is refreshing entire page and displaying the following error message, but if I change location then no refresh is happening.
"Report parameter values must be specified before the report can be displayed. Choose parameter values in the parameters area and click the Apply button""
Any idea why it is refreshing the entire page when changing parameter value.
    Thanks !
    Soumya Das

    Hi Soumya,
According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you used Report View.
Whether you used cascading parameter in the report. It seems to be by design if you used cascading parameter in the report.
As I am not an expert for reporting, I suggest you create a new thread on SSRS forum, more experts will assist you with this issue.

  • How do I change color on visited sites without causing websites to not view properly?

I go to Content/Colors, change color of visited sites, uncheck "allow pages to choose own colors instead of my selections above".
The visited sites change colors, but the websites that I go to do not view properly. They do not have names or headings or shopping carts or search boxes and are very hard to maneuver through.

You can use code in userContent.css or use the Stylish extension to override the page colors.
    I use code like this:
    <pre><nowiki>a:visited {color:#e08!important;background-color:#eee}
    a:visited * {color:#e08!important;outline:1px dotted red!important;outline-offset:-1px}
