Discrepancy with size between tables..strange..
hey there,
i'm building a header, and i have two tables, one on top of
another. now, in dreamweaver..the space between these two tables is
nil, but when i do a preview, there seems to be a bunch of space
between the two elements (the element on top is an image and the
element on the bottom is typed text, both are within tables). now,
what i don't understand, is how can there be extra space in the
browser when the two tables are slammed against each other in the
program and they look really close together in the program?!? how
do i fix this? and this isn't just some 'little' space..the space
in the internet browser is too noticeable, but it looks great in
DW.
help..
<!--DWLayoutTable-->
In my opinion, there are three serious problems with Layout
Mode -
1. Perhaps most importantly, it sits between you and *real*
HTML tables,
and fools you into believing that concepts like "layout cell"
and
"autostretch" really mean something. They do not. As long as
you use
Layout Mode, you'll never learn one of the most important
things for new web
developers - how to build solid and reliable tables.
2. Actually, #1 wouldn't be *so* bad, except that the code
that is written
by Layout Mode is really poor code. For example, a layout
table contains
MANY empty rows of cells. This can contribute to a table's
instability.
In addition, if your initial positioning of the table's cells
is a bit
complex,
Layout Mode will throw in col- and rowspans aplenty as it
merges and splits
cells willy-nillly to achieve the pixel-perfect layout you
have specified.
Again,
this is an extremely poor method for building stable tables,
because it
allows
changes in one tiny cell's shape (i.e, dimensions) to ripple
through the
rest
of the table, usually with unexpected and sometimes
disastrous consequences.
This is one of the primary reasons for the final result's
fragility - read
this -
http://apptools.com/rants/spans.php
3. The UI for Layout Mode is beyond confusing - many options
that you might
want to use are inaccessible, e.g., inserting another table,
or layer onto
the page.
I can understand the new user's desire to use this tool to
make their life
easier,
but the cost is just too heavy in my opinion.
To make good tables, keep it simple. Put a table on the page,
and begin to
load your content. If you would want a different table
layout, instead of
merging or splitting cells, consider stacking tables or
nesting simple
tables instead, respectively.
And above all, do not try to build the whole page with a
single table!
Luckily, Adobe understands the problems created for the
unsuspecting user
who falls into this trap, and has elected to remove this
feature altogether
from the next version of DW. The time is right for you to
begin working
with tables properly!
To read more about this approach, visit the DW FAQ link in my
sig, and run
through the table tutorials.
With regard to your specific problem -
<h1 class="style1"><img src="OrangeBackground.jpg"
width="558"
height="73"></h1>
Since the <h#> tags are intended to be used for
readable information, there
is really no reason to ever place them around just an image.
What you are
seeing is likely the margins around that <h1> tag. Try
removing it.

Problem in DBcopy with size of table SWW_WI2OBJ
We are facing performance problems because of the large size of table SWW_WI2OBJ there are 5.4 million records in the table.
The growth was probably caused by faulty generated workflows on object RMPSCASE.
Does anyone know what is a normal size of table SWW_WI2OBJ
And how can i archive this table? or delete records without effect on the correct wf id's.
Are there tools for these actions and where can i find them?
Kind regards,
Reinhard SportelHi Reinhard,
The normal size of table SWW_WI2OBJ is depending on how many workflows you have running in your system, on how complex they are, and on how intensively they are used. To get an idea you should not get more than two or three times more entries in SWW_WI2OBJ than in SWWWIHEAD (more than that would be an indication of wrong workflow design).
To solve your problems there are tools to delete workitems from DB, but they should not be used in a production environment (unless you are really 100% sure of what you are doing, but there is no coming back possible)
I would suggest you investigate the workitem archiving functionalities to archive your faulty workflows (tx SWW_SARA). There is plenty of information available about this in the SAP help.
Cheers,

Show rows with difference between tables.
Hi all,
I've got two tables:
Table 1 has a total count of 6784
Table 2 has a total count of 6156
The differnce between the two are 628 rows.
I'm trying to find the rows that are different between the two (i.e. the 628). RIght now, I've only got the counts.
select count(*) from (
select * from Table1
minus
select * from Table2
union all
select count(*) from (
select * from Table 2
minus
select * from Table1
1. 769
2. 141
I've tried:
select * from (
select * from Table1
minus
select * from Table2
union all
select count(*) from (
select * from Table 2
minus
select * from Table1
But that shows the two differences together. 910 rows.
How can I isolate those 628 rows in one result, that are different between the two?
Thanks.Hi,
we5inelgr wrote:
Thanks for all the replies and sorry it wasn't clear initially and I'm not sure this will help much but what I'm looking for are the rows (the actual data, not the cournts) from this count result:
select count(*) from (
select * from Table1
minus
select * from Table2
union all
select count(*) from (
select * from Table 2
minus
select * from Table1
1. 769
2. 141
but just the 628 rows, not the 769 rows and/or the 141 rows. only the 628 rows that are the difference between the two.
Table 1 is a test table that was updated with some new data. Table 2 is a "model office" table. I need to show which rows are different between the two (the 628 rows). The other 6156 rows are identicle between the two tables.
Not quite. If the other 6156 rows were identical, then the query abouve would be producing
628
0
but it's not; it's producing
769
141
As Jonathan explained, there are 769 rows that are in Table1 but not in Table2.
Why do you want to see only 628 of them? Which 628 do you want to see? Why do you want to see that set of 628, and not some other set of 628?
Let's use a concrete example. Say both tables consist of a single column, p_key.
Table1.has 6784 rows, where p_key contains the integers 1 through 6784.
Table2 has 6156 rows, where p_key contains the integers 770 trhough 6925.
What are the results you want to see? Why do you want to see them, and not some other results? For example, if you say "I want to see the numbers 1 through 628". why those numbers? P_key=629 is present in table1, but missing in table2, just like p_key=628 is. Why do you want to see p_key=628 but not p_key=629? -
How to know exact size of table with blob column
I have a table with one BLOB column. I ran this query.
select bytes/1024/1024 from user_segments where segment_name='GMSSP_REQUEST_TEMP_FILES'
(user_segments is a view)
it gave me 0.125
It means size of table is 0.125. I have uploaded 3 files to this table. Each of them is of 5 mb. After that I check size of table. but result was same. i.e 0.125.
Can any body tell me how to know exact amount of space consumed by files. I am expecting following result
size should be (5+5+5+0.125)MB
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Font sizes between Photoshop and Edge - Any Accurate conversion table?
I have been trying to make sense of the font sizes between Photoshop and Edge. It seems that the conversion tables I have found do not actually give the right numbers and I am wondering if there is a table from Adobe that would make it easy to have the right size rather than an approximation.
I prefer to use text in Edge rather than Photoshop for many different reasons one being dynamic text.
For example a font in Photoshop in a 780 x 475 image is 8pt - In Edge, according to conversion tables it should be 11 px but it is totally wrong. It needs to be closer to 30 px to be about the same.
So, Adobe Team, any documentation on that?By the way, I have to correct the numbers but they still do not make too much sense. The artist gave me a 300 dpi file so of course the px size what wrong. After converting the file to 72 dpi, the font size happens to be 33.33 pt or 40 px which is now way too big in Edge. It looks like the size my just be the same 33.33 pt would be 33.33 px. Is this correct?

CVC creation - Strange issue with Master data table of 9AMATNR
Hi Experts,
We have encountered a strange issue with Master data table (/BI0/9APMATNR) of info object 9AMATNR.
We have a BADI implemented for checking the valid Characteristic before creation of the CVC using transaction /SAPAPO/MC62. This BADI puts a select on master data tab of material /BI0/9APMATNR and returns no value. But the material actually exists in the table (checked through SE16).
Now we go inside the info object 9AMATNR and go to the Master data Tab. There we go inside the master table
/BI0/9APMATNR and activate that. After activating the table it is read by the select statement inside BADI (Strange) and allows the CVC to be created.
Ideally it should not allow us to activate the SAP standard table /BI0/9APMATNR. I observed that in technical settings of this table it has single record buffering as switched on. (But as per my knowledge buffer gets refreshed every 2 to 4 mins and not in 2 days or something).
Your expert comment is valuable to us. Thanks.
Best Regards,
Chandan DubeyHi Chandan,
Try to use a WAIT statment with 5 seconds before your select statment.
I'm not sure whether this will work. Anyway check it and let me know the result.

Siva. -
Table with break between pages but without big spaces
Hello,
I want to make a break in a cell of a table, that the text continues on the other page...
The Problem is, that pages leaves big space between tables, that break form one page to an other!
In Word there I have the option to admit a break in a cell!....
Is there a solution for Pages?
Thanks,
Fabianfmuell,
Common question, answered here many times in the negative. I'll offer you a workaround.
Highlight the row on the second page, containing the text that you wish to split, and from the Menu Bar select Format > Table > Add Row Below. Now highlight the lower portion of the text in your oversize cell and select Edit > Cut. If you cut the proper amount of content, the remainder will pop back to the previous page and you can Paste the text you cut into the new empty row. If the empty row also pops back to the previous page, no worry -- after you paste the cut text into it, it will move to the top of the next page.
Not pretty, but it may work for you.

Constant problems with size of windows
Guys, I am having this problem for 2 months already and it would be great if you could help... Maybe I just don't know something simple but anyway - I can't understand what's going on with size of the windows - in all programs, not just Safari. Before Mac I was using PC and everything was simple - there are 2 options - full screen view and smaller view that had fixed size and it was easy to switch between them. And when I made the window smaller or larger everything in it fit to the size and there were no problems. With Mac, something strange is going on. First of all, there is no such thing as full screen view - every time I open new window in any program, I have to drag the corners to make it full screen as it opens it as half screen. When I press on the plus button to make it smaller it makes the size very strange, very narrow and long. And again, I have to correct it manually. When I go back to full screen view it again becomes half a page instead of full screen. So, every time I have to change window sizes manually. And more than that, when I do that the page doesn't fit to screen. For example lets say I open document folder with icons - so when I make it smaller it cuts the part of the icons from the view and I have to rearrange them to see them all, And again, when I go back to full screen view the layout of the icons doesn't change - they are still arranged to fit smaller view. Also, in Word, formatting panels don't take the whole line and the page looks very weird and the rest of the line with formatting tools becomes empty and when I click on it it takes me outside of word, I hope you understand what I am trying to explain... Anyway, could you please explain me what's going on? Is there a way to fix window sizes? It's so inconvenient, I am starting to miss my old pc...:(((
The Mac Window has never automatically filled the screen, even when the Mac could only run one program at a time. At that time most programs had a Window menu that could be used to switch between open documents but I think most users tiled their windows so that they could switch from document to document by just clicking on the document's window. When multi-tasking came to the Mac we had an application switcher (a menu in the top right hand corner) but still, most of us continued to tile windows and switch between applications by clicking on open windows. This habit is so firmly engrained in old Mac users that even now that we have the ability to command tab between applications, (not to mention Expose) you'll still see Mac users tiling their windows and switching by clicking on windows. When Mac users get together to complain about Windows, one of the things we all agree on is how limiting the Windows application layer is. We don't like fully maximized windows.
Most applications automatically open a window just as big as it needs to be and no more. In other words, most word processor will open a new window so that the page can be display, but no further. For applications that have a large toolbar above the document area, this sometimes means you can't see all the tools but is this a flaw of the window logic or has the toolbar been stuffed too full?
There are times when this behavior isn't entirely logical, or doesn't appear logical. The Finder is a really good example - a really good example of a really bad program. Old time Mac users who care/think about application design agree that the Finder has been broken since the first version of OS X and has only gotten marginally better through 5 iterations. Browsers are another strange bird because it is hard to know how big a browser window needs to be - it is entirely dependent upon the site you are visiting.
While there appears to be no logic behind window behavior, there generally is - even in the Finder. Unlike Windows (at least pre-Vista Windows) there's really only been one window's logic - open to fill the entire screen. With the Mac the logic is more complex, but is generally grounded in logic based around ease of use.
Your complaint about the Finder windows and icons is caused by the fact that you haven't set a default organization method. While in the Finder, open a window and set it for icon view, then select *Show View Options* the View menu. Make all the selections you'd like in the dialog but be sure to select an option for *Arrange by* and I suggest Name. From now on not only will the icons always arrange themselves in alphabetical order but as you resize the window the icons will automatically move around to fill the window rather than hiding off to the side. Note: the last choice is set as defaults and if you click on this, all windows that are in Icon view will use these settings. You can change the window each of the other views and set similar defaults for those views.
I don't understand your complaint about Word - maybe someone else will or you could try explaining it again in more detail. -
Estimated size of tables for DMU scan
The DMU estimates the size of tables, and uses this to determine how to parallelise the scans. I have a problem where the estimates are low, meaing that big tables (by bytes in dba_segments) are not parallelised and the scan takes longer than I think is necessary.
Some of the table have inaccurate statistics, but I can determine any correlation between anything in dba_tables (blocks?) and the size shown in the DMU.
I would like to know if I could help this my setting something using DBMS_STATS.SET_TABLE_STATS, or anyother method.
Thanks,
BenApologies again for not being clear I thought DMU was a well know abbreviation for Database Migration Assistant for Unicode and would be known on this forum. I've been so involved with it I may have been unclear with my terms.
I am running the Scan Wizard in the Database Migration Assistant for Unicode v1.1 (DMU). After I've completed the Object Selection, the Scan Details http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E26101_01/doc/doc.11/e26097/ch4scenarios.htm#BACEFAIG shows a list of table with a table size. The DMU then decides to split the scan of each table, based on some function of the table size. I would like to know where this Table Size is calculated from. It is not from dba_segments, as I have a table that is 7GB in DBA segments, that is showing as 0B in the Table Size column. The option to split can be deselected where the DMU has chosen to split the scan into chunks, but not selected where it has not.
If the Table Size is calculated from the table statistics then I would like to know if it is possible to set this via dbms_stats.set_table_stats, to improve the performance of the scans.

Diffrence between Table and Template In Smartform
Hi,
Please could u tel me Difference between Table and Template In SmartformTable exteds dynamically.
Template is fixed in size.
template is Output of a table containing static data
these are the Possible direct successors-All except window, page, table,
and template nodes
Table - Output of a table containing application
data and these are the Possible direct successors-as with template node
Template is used for proper allignment of data which table is used for displaying multiple data.
We can say Template is for static data and Table is for dynamic data.
Suppose we have a requirement in which we have to allign the customer address in such a way as shown below:-
Name- Krishna Company- WIPRO Location- Chennai
Desig- S/W Native - Mumbai
Then for proper allighnment we can create a template and split that into 3 columns and 2 rows and create text elements for each cell display a proper allighned data at the output.
When we include a template inside a loop it gives the same property as a table.
When we have mutiple data which is to be extended to the next page like when we display all employee details in a company we use table.
Table has 3 sections , HEADER, ITEM ,FOOTER
The header secntion will be executed once and it will loop at the item level. at the end footer will be executed.

Diff. between table and template in smartforms
hi there,
please tell me what the diff. between table and template options available in smartformsHI
GOOD
TABLES=>
In forms of business procedures you usually want to list details such as open items of an invoice. You can use a Smart Form to display this data in a table. You can design the layout of the table independent of the number of lines it will contain. The size of the table depends on how much data the application program passes to the form at runtime (unlike with templates, where you specify the number of columns and lines explicitly). The table can cover one or more pages, depending on the number of lines. This is why you display tables in the main window.
TEMPLATES=>
Use node type Template to display a table whose layout and size (number of lines and columns) is determined before the runtime of the application program. For this reason, a template is also called a static table.
To create a template, define a table layout to determine the cell structure for each line. The cells are used to display the contents of the inferior nodes of the template node. This allows you to position text and a graphic side by side (see Displaying Graphics in Templates).
The template node is also suited for label printing.

There are no tables on that page. Everything is either an absolutely positioned div, or a paragraph contained within an absolutely positioned div. The huge space is caused by your (INLINE) positioning of the apDiv12 -
<div id="apDiv12" style="position: absolute; left: 10px; top: 1016px; width: 994px; height: 1452px; z-index: 10">
I count 90 such absolutely positioned elements on your page, which could be the poster child for why one shouldn't use absolute positioning as a primary layout method (http://www.apptools.com/examples/pagelayout101.php). Just use your browser text size controls to increase the browser's display of text a couple of ticks and see what happens to your layout (in Safari I just use Command-+). Two ticks, and the contents have overlapped so much that the page becomes unreadable. I recognize it my be too late to inform you of this fundamental mistake in your approach on this page, but if I were you, I'd fix it. Who would ramp up the text size like this? Anyone with vision problems who may have their browsers already set at a large text display for readability - you have no control over that....
The good news is that this is the only page I see on your site that is built this way - all other pages are table-based, and while that approach is also uber-retro, at least it doesn't suffer from this potential overlapping problem. -
I have a Problem with Romming Between SSIDs withing the same WLC but with deferent VLAN .
HI All,
I have a Problem with Romming Between SSIDs withing the same WLC but with deferent VLAN . the WLC are providing the HQ and one of the Branches the Wireless services .
Am using all the available 9 SSIDs at the HQ , and am using only 4 of it at the Brnche.
The problem that i have are happening only at the Branch office as i cant room between the SSIDs within Diferent VLANs but i can do it with the one that pointing to the same VLAN. Once the client ( Laptop/Phone ) connected to one of the SSIDs. it imposiible to have him connected to the other ones with Different VLAN. meanwhile, It says its connected to the other SSID but its not getting IP from that pool.
here is the Show Run-Config from my WLC .. and the Problem happening between the SSID AMOBILE and ASTAFF. i have the Debug while am switching between the SSIDs if needed .

In this mode, the clients are still remembers on the WLC until the session timer/idle timer expires. So switching between SSID's in h-reap will not be the same when switching when the AP's are in local mode.
Take a look at the client when connected in FlexConnect in the WLC GUI monitor tab. Thus will show you what ssid and vlan the client is on. Now switch to a different ssid and compare this. It's probably the same because the client has not timed out. Now go back to the other ssid and look again. Now on the WLC, remove or delete the client and then switch to the other ssid at the same time. Or switch SSID's and then remove the client. The client will join the new ssid and in the monitor tab, you should see the info.
There is no need to have clients have multiple SSID's unless your testing. Devices should only have one ssid profile configured to eliminate any connectivity issues from the device wanting to switch SSID's.

Relationship between tables..Please.
Hi SRM folks,
I am working on EBD-SAP BW project, I have problem of primary key please look at my scenario.
I have a view( ZBW_SHOPCART : View for extracting Shopping Cart data to BW),
in turn the view is built on the following tables:
1) CRMD_ORDERADM_H : Business Transactions CRM
2) CRMD_ORDERADM_I : Business Transaction Item
3) BBP_PDBEI : Backend Specific Item Data
4) CRM_JEST : Individual Status per Object
common primary key is GUID and MANDT
According to the current Requirements
We need to Enhance the view ZBW_SHOPCART with the following table fields
Step Name : Table SWWWIHEAD : Workflow Runtime: Header Table for All Work Item Types
Field WI_TEXT
Status : Table SWWWIHEAD
Field WI STAT
Results : Table SWDSTEXT : Workflow definition: Language-dependent texts
Field WFD_TEXT
Date : Table SWWWIHEAD
Field WI_CD
Time : Table SWWWIHEAD
Field WI_CT
Agent : Table SWWWIHEAD
Field WI_AAGENT
Problem : There is no common( Primary key ) key between the tables SWWWIHEAD, SWDSTEXT and the View ZBW_SHOPCART to join the tables with the View.
Folks please suggest me in this regard, are there any ways to join the tables SWWWIHEAD and SWDSTEXT with the view
I will wait for your valuable suggestion,
thank you
DJHi,
Currently we are extracting the data from EBP to SAP BW based on the view
<b>ZBW_SHOPCART : View for extracting Shopping Cart data to BW</b>
is containing the tables & fields as follows
Tables:
CRMD_ORDERADM_H
CRMD_ORDERADM_I
BBP_PDBEI
CRM_JEST
Field Table
CLIENT -CRMD_ORDERADM_H
HEADER_GUID -CRMD_ORDERADM_H
OBJECT_ID -CRMD_ORDERADM_H
ITEM_GUID -CRMD_ORDERADM_I
STAT -CRM_JEST
INACT -CRM_JEST
CHGNR -CRM_JEST
DESCRIPTION -CRMD_ORDERADM_H
CREATED_AT -CRMD_ORDERADM_H
BE_OBJECT_ID -BBP_PDBEI
CHANGED_AT -CRMD_ORDERADM_H
now Current requirement is to enhance that view with some more fields as follows
Step Name : Table SWWWIHEAD : Workflow Runtime: Header Table for All Work Item Types
Field WI_TEXT
Status : Table SWWWIHEAD
Field WI STAT
Results : Table SWDSTEXT : Workflow definition: Language-dependent texts
Field WFD_TEXT
Date : Table SWWWIHEAD
Field WI_CD
Time : Table SWWWIHEAD
Field WI_CT
Agent : Table SWWWIHEAD
Field WI_AAGENT
I need to join this fields into the view, am not able to see the common( Primary key ) key.
Please help me
