Display all valid items and select multiple items

Let us say I have valid items in table. For each purchase user can select few items from the list. I have to display all valid items from table and user should able to check items to buy. What is the best way we can implement this in forms.
Thanks, lalitha

For all the valid items you can create LOV as i understood then user can choose what he wants. But this sentence ti still confusing to me. Or what is the tricky things in you scanerio if only you have to show the valid item then use LOV.

How do I highlight and select multiple items?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
There are different ways to do what you want:
Hold the Command key and press the items you want to select.
Press Command and A keys to select all items in a folder.
You can do the same with the mouse or trackpad by clicking in one part of the window and dragging it until all the items you want are highlighted

  • Selecting multiple items by choosing first and last to include all those in between...

    Hello all.
I'm familiar with how to select multiple items by using the shift key and the command key to select either individual items, or a batch of items by clicking the first to be included and the last to be included, and having all those inbetween included as well, but for some reason this is not happening when I'm trying to select files in OS Lion. Regardless if I use the shift key or the command key, only a single item is selected, and for a range of items, I must click each individually.
Is there a setting that I need to alter to select a batch? Am I missing something that they've changed from the previous OS?
    Thank you for your help!

I can confirm that does still work in Lion as you describe, but at the moment, no fix to offer. I'm not aware of any setting. It just supose to work.
I did find this article which may help.  But proceed at you own risk in deleting .plist files. It may do the trick, but also cause you to reset certain key functions.
A simple thing to try first is to repair permissions. .../Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.  Select your Volume/Repair Permissions

How do you select and move more than one bookmark at a time?
Shift+Click does not select multiple items that are next to one another in a list because the items open in firefox before this happens.

Use the bookmarks library. You may use Shift +Click, and Ctrl + Click to create groupings of selected bookmarks to drag and drop.
    * one method of opening the bookmarks library is keyboard shortcut <br /> Ctrl+Shift+B (Windows)

  • With a wired keyboard and a 2014 iMac I cannot select multiple items which are not next to each other

I have recently changed from Windows 7 desktop to a new iMac running Mavericks.  I have chosen a wired keyboard as I like  the usual Delete key function.
I cannot find out how to select several items which are not next to each other (e.g. words in Pages).  The well known method in Windows, which is repeated in the the Apple Finder Help screen, does not work.  Would be grateful for advice

    Hi JBowfin,
If I am understanding your question correctly, I believe that I have an article that will address this question for you:

  • Can't select multiple items with shift key os 10.7

I can use command A to select all, and I can select multiple items with command and individually clicking each one, but not using Shift and clicking on the first and last items.  Any ideas?

You need to display the window in column or list view. Shift-clicking items won't do that in icon view.

  • How do I select multiple items?

Happy New Year.  I am a new Mac user.  Recently switched from Windows.  How do I select multiple rows?  In windows you can CONTROL+click to select multiple items 1 at a time and SHIFT+click to select multiple items in groups.  I figured out to do COMMAND+click on Mac to select multiples 1 at a time.  I need to delete ALOT of rows.  How do I select multiples in groups?
    Thanks.

KarenSelena and BobHarris have given you the direct sequences.
You can also select multiple disjoint ranges with combinations of ⌘ (command key) click and ⇑ (shift key) click, too.
As you use OS X, you'll find a large number of ⌘ and ⇑ and ˄ (control key) and ⌥ (option key) clicks and shortcuts available (and some were mentioned earlier), and shortcuts such as ⌘ A (select all), ⌘ Z (undo) and a whole host of other shortcuts available.

How to select Multiple items in the filters in the dvt:pivotfilterbar?

To select multiple media and other files, it's not possible. You can do so in messages as directed.
To select multiple files, connect to your PC and select them.

  • How to select multiple items in ListView?

Is it possible to select multiple items (rows) in ListView? I'm able

    Ramarao,
I talked to Forte support about this recently and they had nothing but
    bad news.
They said that you cannot select multiple rows in a listview, and that
    this is a
feature that will be in the next release ( release 4 ).
I then asked if it was possible for me to highlight a row manually ( and
    do the multiple
select myself ), and they said that also wasn't possible. This is due
    to the fact that
there are no displaynode properties that effect display attributes (
    like font or color ).
They suggested that I try changing the smallicon to show rows that have
    been 'selected'.
In other words, when you ctrl-click on any particular row, you could put
    an icon at the
beginning of a row that shows that this row has been clicked on.
I'm still working on this myself, so I will keep you posted.

  • Selecting multiple items quickly in icon view

The Finder's Help menu shows only one way to select multiple items that are next to each other:
Select multiple items that are next to each other
    Do one of the following:
Click one item, and then press the Shift key and click other items to include them in the selection.
Click the first item, and then press the Shift key and click the last item. All items in between are included in the selection.
Click a window to make it active, and then press Command (⌘)-A. All items in the window are selected.
When you have selected multiple items and want to deselect one of them, press the Command key and click the item.
However, I often view folders in icon view and the second method above doesn't work--frustrating if you have more than a few items.
There are two ways that do:
Change the view to List and use the second method described above (Click the first item, and then press the Shift key and click the last item) or
Click outside of the first folder/icon you wish to select, then hold and drag over the row or area:
Hope this is helpful; it would be a useful addition to the Help menu!

  • Missing "Select Multiple Items" in Report Filter for Pivot Table in Excel Services

I have a Pivot Table with a Report Filter in Excel 2013.
When I click the Report Filter in Excel , I get the check-box option to "Select Multiple Items".
But , when the same Report.xls is published to SharePoint 2013 Excel Services,
the check-box-option is missing ! and the default is "Multi-select", and there is no way to disable or toggle Multi-select
    is there any fix ?
    thanks

Thank you Naveen, I have already read this , and checked ,
But, it does not fix my issue :(
All my desktops are set at 100%.
All my List Items show as Check-boxes, ok.
The problem is: that check-box option "Select Multiple Items" , just above the OK button, is missing when I run the report in Excel Services.
So I have no way to toggle Select Single Items only.
But when I Open this same report in Excel, everything works well.
Is there any Fix for Excel Service /Sharepoint 2013.

Same way you select multipl items anywhere else.
