Display Apple TV on my Macbook or iPad?
I see a lot about Airplay for displaying my iPad, iPhone or Macbook Pro (with upcoming Mountain Lion) on the Apple TV display via Airplay.
What about being able to display the Apple TV screen on my Macbook Pro. I want to do that too. Is it possible? If not, seems to me a natural thing to want to do.

Turn off My PhotoStream in iCloud on both the iPad and the Mac. PhotoStream is what shares your photos (unless you are using iCloud Photo Library Beta, in which case, all photos uploaded are accessible from all devices signed onto the same Apple/iCloud ID).

The image means that the iPad has gone into recovery mode - you will need to connect it to your computer's iTunes, that should recognise the iPad and allow you to reset it back to factory defaults, and you can then restore/resync your content to it. Whilst it's in recovery mode you might not be able to turn it off (I'm not sure whether it's possible or not)

I created a new apple id for my iphone and ipad which work great and allow me to access Icloud. on my macbook air I can't get it to use my new apple id for icloud. It keeps going back to my old apple id and doesn't afford me to alter it. I use system preferences-icloud and it just wants to verify the old apple id but doesn't afford me the opportunity to delete teh account or edit it like the iphone5 and ipad. Help?

I have a Macbook Pro and an Apple TV. What I'd like to do is stream a movie from my CinemaNow Account to my television by using my Apple TV and my Macbook. I know that I can do this my using the mirroring feature, however then I can no longer use my Macbook for anything else because my TV will only display what is on the screen of my Macbook. Now with this is mind, what then is the point of having multiple displays through the use of my Apple TV, if only one display can be used at a time unless they both show the same image? Or is there a way for me to be able to stream the movie to my TV and still use my Macbook for other purposes (multi-tasking)?
To enable a second display over AirPlay, you first need to be connected to the same network as your Apple TV. Next, open System Preferences > Displays, and select your Apple TV from the “AirPlay Display” drop-down menu.
Once you do this, your display may flash as the second display connection is acquired, and the Apple TV takes over as the second display. If the displays are mirrored, then you can correct this by opening the “Arrangement” tab in System Preferences > Displays, and ensuring that the “Mirror Displays” checkbox is unchecked.
In this same “Arrangement” tab, you can move the displays around in the pane to ensure that they're positioned correctly, relative to your physical space (usually side-by-side, or top-down). The primary display here is denoted here by the Menu bar on the display. The arrangement helps with being able to drag windows from one display to the next: if your secondary display is arranged to be to the right of your primary one, for example, you can drag things to it through the right side of your primarcy screen. -
No Airplay on Macbook or iPad for Apple TV
I am trying to get my MacBook (late 2008 model) onto my TV but nothing I do is working. AirPlay doesn't even show up on my desk top or anywhere else for that matter. I have Mountain Lion and so does my iPad but neither will mirror my activity on my tv. Are there limitations on certain MacBooks or iPads that can be preventing this?

How do you transfer purchased films on Apple TV to MacBook or ipad?
I have purchased many films in my Apple TV box but I am unsure of how to transfer these to my MacBook and ipad. I want to watch the films purchased on my ipad so need to transfer over. Any ideas? Answer needed ASAP as flying in the morning.
You need to load them by going to the iTunes Store - purchased. Best would be to load them to the MB and sync to iPad

Does OS Lion 10.7.5 support Airplay mirror of Apple TV 3? I can't find the option in Setting>Display on my mid 2012 MacBook Pro.

AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer). For non-qualifying Macs you can try using Air Parrot.

Can I connect 2 sony bravia's, a sony home theatre, 2 macbooks, 2 ipads, 3 iphones and a dell laptop and stream media from my apple devices to my tv? I have a sony bravia 600 series and 700 series and a home theatre( sony 7100 series)
The only way to stream directly to your TV would be if it is an AirPlay-enabled device.
There are many AirPlay-enabled devices but I am not familiar with Sony's products. If yours do not specifically indicate AirPlay capability, then you need an AirPlay-enabled device such as an AppleTV connected to your Sony TV or Sony AVR. -
I have an A5X chip iPad with retina display with AppleCare+ . If my iPad broke would apple replace it with the updated iPad with retina display that has the A6X chip?
They will replace your "broken" iPad with an iPad of equal type .... so NO, they will not replace it with a new iPad 4th generation. They will actually replace your "broken" iPad with a refurb, not a new one.

If you see a red light in the audio output port, then the internal switch is stuck. Insert the earphone plug a few times and see if you can trip the switch. If that fails, insert a cocktail stirrer and the like and jiggle it around inside. If that fails, take it to an Apple store and have the technicians at the genius bar do it for you.

I have an apple TV 2 which mirrors my ipad and iphone beautifully. I want to do the same with my 'later 2011' macbook pro but there is no option I have checked firewalls and done all updates etc but no joy...PLEASE HELP!
