But that will pull up the detail view in the search results rather then that layout and the link will be to the web app Mario
So you would get staff up but you would have to rethink it work on a full Bio page for them if you wanted them to show up in search results.
Other option is to not use the BC search Luke but integrate a google search for your site. It will search the pages content (all of it) and that would also include the Bio. BUT this would be in the google search results and not show that information in the results view, it would just pick up that information.
The ajax thing I mentioned was to loop through the results, read them, if they were blog posts go Ajax fetch from the links page and find the Author information from that and then inject it into the result. It would be seamless (small flicker, slow down the page load a bit) but it would work.
The effort though to do that, bit to much for the results gained.

I have just updated to 7.0.1 and suddenly my search results won't open in a new tab (let alone a new window - something I much preferred in the past) although this option is checked.
I even installed Tab Utilities Light Options - all of it's options work, but not for Search Bar.
When I choose one of the search results and want to view several items on that site (let's say a page with some 50 photo's), there seems to be no longer a way to return to the original search result. I have to start from scratch.
I hope this can be 'mended' because this is utterly annoying.

Although 6 other people seem to have encountered this problem, nobody has offered a solution yet. Perhaps the following will put some Firefox gurus on the right trail.
When I said "my search results", I meant the results obtained with Google (standard when installing Firefox). Now I have tried another search engine (Dogpile) and there The tabs do work. Very strange, isn't it ?

Bugs on selecting photos in search result

When you select photos from any of the albums, click "Share", that seems to be normal
But if you search photos (for example: taken at specific location), choose a photo from searching result, click "Share", it will incorrectly pointed to another photo.
Anyone have same issue?

Index error make sense to me.
1. Try turn off icloud backup first.
2. Export all your photos to PC or MAC.
3. Disconnect your MAC, and clear your photo on your iphone.
4. import all the photo back.

How to fix BC blog post meta title and description

BC blog post <title> and <description> shows (seo) from sidebar/post list - But does not show in blog post page thru site menu nav.
The blog post title and description show up corectelly when clicking on sidebar list of posts.
It must be using the module layout list.html which I have set up with:

Firstly, putting blog posts meta title in the list layout is really bad - You do not do this. This is not how meta works and you need to understand a bit more about what it is.
If you have a list of blog posts on a page all with lots of title and meta BC will do one of two things.
1. Use the very last title and meta it sees rendered on all the layouts/templates/page it sees
2. Render the last title and spit out multiple meta's
Meta implementation is for the detail layout of something like a blog only - The single rendered content - 1 title, 1 meta description. For your blog this will ONLY go in the blog detail layout.
And in that layout at the bottom of it..

    </head>
You need to understand that, remove it from others to fix up that issue with what your doing first. Very likely because you probably have this in other list layotus and all over the place your seeing inconstant output, address this and you probably will actually find your issue fixed.

I have got the same behaviour after the last Safari Update to 5.1.3. It seems that Safari now handles some scripts in a new way. If you debug the Google Website, you will see, that there is some Javascript Error, that seems to prevent to write into local cache. After some searching I wasn't able to finde a solution for this problem, other then disabling Javascript while private browsing to prevent the script loading. You then are able to use Google with the old layout. The option to disable JavaScript can be found in the Menu "Developer", wich has to be enabled in Safari in the options first.
In my opinion this is a bug that is now occuring, because Apple changed something in private browsing and that has to be fixed by Google now, to run again. Or we will have to wait for 5.1.4, as you can read online Apple will change and bugfix the javascript engine in that version, perhaps this fixes the problem as well. I hope so!
If anyone is in the developer program perhaps you could test this with the beta of 5.1.4 and tell us if it works.

How to display HTML pages always in first rank in search result?

I have a sharepoint 2010 site where search is configured, but when it is displaying the search result some time it is showing the pdf files in the first order and the html pages in the second order, I need to display html pages always
in the first order.How can I accomplish it?

How to display File Title instead of File Name in Search Results

Hello All,
I want to display the File Title instead of File name in the search results. For example when i do the search for the HTML Pages i get the File Names i.e. Index.html However i want 'HTML Page Title' to be displayed instead of File Name.
Please help in this.

Hi Vaib,
first, the search result is displayed with some layout set. The standard layout set used is the SearchResultLayoutSet. This uses the StandardSearchResultRenderer as it's collection renderer. And this in fact renders the display name and not the ID: <i>rnd:displayname(contentLink/[1;2-3]/alignTop/space-right=30)</i> within "Displayed Properties". Maybe on your site the default settings have been changed.

WCP Framework 11g and SES 11g : search results are not secured

Hello,
We are integrating WCP 11.1.1.6 and SES 11.1.2.2
we have quite a stunning issue here where the search results returned by a WCP Framework application are not secured, ie secured contents are returned in the search results for unauthenticated users and for users who have no permission on these contents.
Though, the search results are well secured in the standard SES search interface (http://seshost/search/query/).
The main concern is about results coming from WCC.

we managed to integrate UCM and WCP with Document Service taskflows and it works fine, ie security is well propagated for the roles we want.
WCC/UCM and WCP authenticate users via WLS which is connected to an AD.
SES has its own identity management system which authenticates users directly to the AD.
We activated the SESCrawler component in WCC/UCM and the SES/UCM crawling process is OK.
We can search for UCM contents in SES without issue and anonymous/unauthenticated search in SES doesn't return results from non-public security groups, which is what we want.
WCP search is connected to SES (which is the default setting), eg from adf-config.xml:

So the problem is that anonymous/unauthenticated search in WCP does return results from non-public security groups, which is not what we want.
eg: access to the WCP app (don't logon)
run a search
in the search results, you can see contents which are not assigned in the public security group. Though, the WCC/UCM guest role doesn't have any permission on these SG.
I can't raise SR myself.

Add email from main address and communication to search result

Hi everybody,
I am currently trying to add the main address and communication email address from the contact person to the contact search result.
What I've tried so far is enhancing the BP_CONT_SEARCH/SearchResult view and adding attributes to the context node Result.
I added model attribute BuilContactPerson/BuilContactPersonStandardAddressRel/E_MAILSMT but that did not display the correct one.
Also added BuilContactPerson/BuilGetHeaderforContactRel/BuilStandardAddressRel/E_MAILSMT but there nothing gets displayed.
Anyone who knows how to get the email in the search results?

We could sort search results in Search center, and we need modify XSLT for search result web part.

Webcam displays red screen in FaceTime and Photo Booth

I haven't used my built-in webcam recently, but when I tried to use FaceTime, the screen is showing bright red with no video. The Photo Booth shows the same thing. Any ideas or fixes?

After the original (flawed) update to OS X 10.8.5 was installed, the internal camera of a 2013 MacBook Air would not work in Skype and some other third-party applications. The flaw was fixed in a supplemental update. However, if you followed some questionable advice that was circulating on this site to hack your system before installing the supplemental update, then it will not restore camera functionality; in fact, the camera won't work at all. The solution in that case, most likely, is to install the 10.8.5 Combo update.
In the future, I suggest you ignore advice to hack your system by replacing, removing, or changing built-in system components.
