Display ipad on computer screen
I would like to display my ipad screen on my Promethean board through my school desktop computer. I do not want my device jailbroken. What is the safest and easiest way to accomplish this?

I use a program called Reflector to wirelessly display my iPad onto my desktop computer. I connect my computer to a projector so that my iPad screen can be displayed via projector to a screen or board on the wall. Much cheaper than buying an Apple TV to do this. And the device doesn't need to be jailbroken

You have mirroring enabled. If you are trying to play iTunes content just use home sharing or airplay.

On the computer screen, the playlist displays a small speaker icon to indicate the song playing. Another song is highlighted in blue. One would think the highlighted song would be the song playing since it attracts the most attention in the list. Instead you must seek out the tiny icon. So I would like to know if there is a way for the song playing to be highlighted.

I purchased my Macbook (17") through a certified apple tecnition in August 2012, it was refurbished and the motherboard was completely replaced. I do a lot of photo editing, but I have been unable to do so because of the red vibrating lines that interrupt my screen. The issue disappears temporarily when I tap on the computer, and the problem does not occur when I use external display or try to screen capture the problem. I brought the computer back to the technition I purchased it from and he said that it was a problem with my fan, so I have two new fans but the issue is still occuring. He says he doesnt know whats wrong. Does anyone have any information on this issue?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/67839707@N08/8884847081/I recommend having your Mac serviced by someone competent. A force sufficient to "blow apart" the fans was clearly excessive and may have damaged the display cable, as well as any number of other problems.
Dust is properly cleaned with a vacuum, preferably one designed for computer service, and they are not cheap.
Compressed air should never be used. It just blows dust everywhere, often into places where it can no longer be removed. -
What cable should be used to connect a macbook pro, 13 inch, early 2011 model to an external projector so the project displays the image on the computer screen?
You will need a cable or adapter with a minidisplay connection for the MBP. That will be inserted in the Thunderbolt port. The other end is dependent upon the connections of the projector which you have not listed.

You have the display set in Extended Desktop mode. In System Preferences>Display on the MacBook screen there should be an Arrangement tab when you have the MacBook hooked up to the TV and both screens working. When you click the Arrangement tab do you see two monitors side by side? One of them will have a Menu Bar at the top. Just click on the Menu Bar and drag it to the second monitor. That will make the second monitor your main screen.
You can now use your MacBook in Clamshell Mode with a wired or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3131 When you disconnect from the TV your Menu Bar will automatically change back to the MacBook.
Or if you want to work on the MacBook screen while showing it on a TV you can check the Mirror Display box on the lower left hand side of the Arrangement tab under the two monitors box. -

After using the minidisplay port to connect to a projector, my computer screen does not have the usual sharp resolution. How do I get back that sharp resolution? The computer screen images are now a bit blurry.
Do you mean after the projector is disconnected? It should change back to normal after disconnecting. If it does not, go to System Preferences > Displays and move the resolution setting back to the largest number.

As old as your iMac is, have you cleaned out the dust? Dust buildup can lead to over heating issues. Remove any and all things plugged into it including the power cord, Remove the RAM access grille. Vacuum all openings starting with the RAM access area (air intake). Vacuum all ports and plugs, DVD slot and the opening across the top of the rear of the body. Blow compressed air through all your openings and vacuum again to remove any dust you loosend. Reinstall the RAM grille. Plug in the keyboard and mouse if not blue tooth. Insert power cord...

When viewing the color blue on my iPad it appears greenhe correct color appears on my computer screen. Can this be resolved?
Try this:
Make sure IOS is updated to latest version
Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings
(no media or data will be deleted from the device, this will only take a minute).
If that doesn't work then backup and then restore the device as new.
And if none of that works, take it to an apple store or call apple support -
I just got a Mac and I use the same internet connection as my mom and my brother, who has an iPad. He can click on something that has my name and then Macbook Air, and is able to see everything on my computer screen. How do I fix this so he cant see what i am doing on my computer?
No, I made sure nothing was checked for that section when i found out he could see my screen. At the top it says "computers on your local network can access your computer at: blah blah". I think thats how hes doing it but i dont know how to fix it.

Unable to display iPad screen on TV

I am using an iPad 2 with iOS 7.0.4.
I have tried connecting an VGA Adapter and HDMI Cable, with my iPad 2 on an LG TV Model LD330.
There is an error on the displaying on the TV Screen, as when I played the video on iPad. The iPad screen showed that video is bing played on connected device, but on the TV screen it shows "NO SIGNAL".
Could I have any help with this? As I tried connecting the HDMI Cable to my laptop and displaying the screen and it works perfectly. Is it a fault with the VGA Adapter? Or is there an application or software update I have to do?I am also having this problem. Seems that there is a problem with IOS7.0.4.
Pluged in my iphone 5 with the same cable and connector to same TV, it works perfectly fine. the only difference is its running on IOS 7.0.2. -
Each time I connect my iPad to computer, the pop up screen on the computer will show another name not my iPad name. The name shown on iTunes in device are is my iPad name. How would I rename it? Please help!
Gotcha, sorry, I'm guessing you are referring to Windows Autoplay. This should do it:
Type regedit into your search bar and bring up Registry editor. Go to the the very top with My Computer. Now go to Edit and Find. Type in the whole offending name that is bugging you, i.e. Soandso's iPhone and hit find. After it searches your registry and finds the first name select it and Edit the Name. I copy/pasted it for all the next steps. After you have found the first name don't stop there. Use F3 to find next Name in registry and So on and so fourth until you have replaced every offending name in your whole registry with the Name you want to show up i.e. Tom's iPhone or whatever? Repeat all of these steps if you have more than one name showing up in your devices? Worked 100% for me. Close regedit and reboot (very important for changes.) Plug your iPhone back in and enjoy all your names back to normal. -

I'm wondering if continuing to play the rented movie that initially said it was not authorised somehow disabled the tv display capability on my ipad?Help.
