Display multiple desktops on one monitor

I have a 32 inch Hannspree HDTV connected to my Mac Mini via HDMI.
I would like to create four quadrants on my screen and display a different desktop in each quadrant.
I know how to create the multiple desktops in mission control, what I don't know is how to display them all at once!
I am not looking for answers involving multiple monitors! I want to divide my 32 monitor up into four seperate "screens" and display a different desktop in each "screen"

Yosemite consolidating multiple desktops on dual monitors,

I have a Mac mini (mid 2010) - 2.4 GHz - 350 GB - Yosemite 10.10.2 - with dual LG monitors. Instead of using Mission Control I prefer to have multiple desktops on each monitor. I dedicate a single app to each desktop, e.g., Safari, iTunes & iPhoto on Mon1 facing Mail, Messages & Calendar on Mon2, and swipe between apps, which I find more convenient. Six numbered desktops plus Dashboard.
In Mavericks this arrangement was preserved on restart. However, in Yosemite, all apps on Mon2 are consolidated in a single desktop, the remaining 2 desktops - 4 & 5 - have migrated blank to Mon1, PLUS an additional blank desktop - 6 - is generated on Mon1. The single desktop on Mon2 is now 7. On subsequent restarts there become eight, then nine, then ten desktops, etc.
I've been up and down the settings options, tried System Help, outside searches, and even mentioned the issue in passing during an unrelated Apple Tech Support call. To no avail. I had hoped that one of the updates would resolve this. It is easily but inconveniently resolved manually, but as I mentioned this was a non issue in Mavericks.
I mentioned this problem in an earlier post, but in less detail. Has anyone else experienced or heard of this?

I did find a workaround........ that works so far....... If I put FCPX into full screen mode. Then my events dissapear!!!! But if I toggle on and off the "Window/Show Events in a separate window" menu then the Events reappear and I can swipe between desktops and all the windows behave as they should. That's a relief. The old method doesn't work but at least this one does. I hope this helps someone who is swiping like a mad man like I was.

When displaying multiple curves on one 2d graph in reports how do I force one curve to be in the foreground? I have two signals and I want to show one overlayed on top of the other. Right now Diadem will only graph it the other way around. I have tried deleting the curves and re-adding them in differnt orders, changin the order they are in the curve list, changing their order inthe data portal, right clicking on the curve and selecting "move to forground" (this only moves the entire 2-d graph object to the foreground). Im using Diadem 12.0 Basic.

Hello Joe,
I figured out what causes your curves to draw in the wrong "order".
You are using two Y-axes, and DIAdem always draws the data for Y1 before Y2, no matter what the order of the curves is in the "Curve and Axis Definition" dialog.
I am attaching your layout with a small modification, I changed the Y1 and Y2 axis order (I swapped which Y-axis the data is displayed on), and I get the following result:
Once I looked at your layout it became clear why the order of the curves didn't reflect the order in which the curves were drawn. I didn't know this - so I just learned something new here as well.

Dual display, multiple desktops

Hello everyone.
I've recently purchased a 2nd monitor for my pro, and came across the issue of having the 2nd montior change each time I change the desktop I'm currently using. After some searching online, I've found out that there is no workaround for this issue.
My plan was to have 1 program on the 2nd monitor (watch movies, farm on WOW etc), while I do 'real' work on the laptop. Not being able to use the multiple desktop feature ***** since I've gotten used to it and use it quite often.
Now, I'm running OSX 10.7.5, so I was wondering if the solution to my issue was fixed in the latest OSX. I never really had a reason to upgrade, but if I can have the 2 monitors set up the way I had planned, I would definitely upgrade.

You've done all the relevent troubleshooting (reinstalling the OS probably was over the top though). I suspect the cable. Do you have a friend who was a computer with the MiniDisplay Port or are you close to an Apple store? If you can check the cable before going to the expense of getting a new one that would be good.

Boot Camp refuses to display on more than one monitor at a time

Hello all,
I just recently purchased a late 2014 Mac Mini and have since installed Windows 8.1 on it via Boot Camp. While using two monitors (one attached via mini-display-port-to-DVI and the other attached via HDMI-to-DVI) they both function as expected when I am running Yosemite. However, when I boot into Windows, at first it will display the Windows logo on the MDP-to-DVI monitor (I'll refer to this as my primary monitor, and the HDMI-to-DVI as my secondary), but once it finishes booting the primary monitor goes to sleep, and the login screen is displayed on the secondary monitor. No matter what I do I cannot get it to recognize both monitors at the same time. I've verified that my graphics driver is up to date (Intel Iris 5100) and have even tried using previous versions of the driver but with the same result. The interesting part is that once I am logged in to Windows, if I unplug both monitors and then plug in only the primary monitor, it will display fine. As soon as I attempt to add the secondary monitor however, the primary shuts off and the OS is displayed only on the secondary. I have also attempted to get Windows to detect the other monitor using the display preferences but it refuses to find anything.
I've spent quite a few hours already researching this and tried several "solutions." Hoping someone out there is experiencing something similar, or perhaps has some insight on what I could investigate next.

I use iWebSites to manage multiple sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites. Be sure to make a backup copy of your original Domain.sites files before starting the splitting process.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want.

Tint2: Multiple Desktops in one panel but spread over complete width

Hi,
I just installed Arch again und my desktop computer which has 2 monitors. I use tint2 as a panel and I have it on my secondary monitor only. I am using Openbox Multihead as Window Manager.
Now I am able to get two distinct settings for tint2:
- Showing the currently active desktop with all its windows at the default width
- Showing all desktops where each desktop section receives the exact same space regardlass of active windows
What I want: Showing all currently active windows like I had only one desktop (I am fine showing windows on desktop that are currently invisible) while having them spread out over the complete width.
I know that the 'multi_desktop' option has the goal to be some kind of desktop pager where you can drag applications around. But my goal would be a view just like 'single_desktop' but with all currently opened windows.
So I can see two possible solutions here:
- Either tint2 can be configured in this way, or
- I can trick tint2 by telling Openbox to always look at all desktops (at least if tint2 receives its information from the window manager)
Is there any possibility to acheive my goal?

It appears there is no solution out there but I did manage to find something else for myself:
I now use only two desktops, each one is fixed to one monitor and through this, tint2 splits it in half which actually is pretty nice, since I can now switch around windows on monitors via taskbar.
Should the need for more desktops arise, I will probably use some kind of composite cube or something which will provide the functionality, too.

Multiple desktops. One keeps switching to "desktop 5" when I click in the other.

I have 2 monitors running 5 desktops. Whenever I click on the monitor that isn't holding desktop 5 the other monitor automatically switches from whatever desktop it's currently displaying to desktop 5. Why? I need this to stop. please help.

Sounds that you have a sticky Delete key.
Try another keyboard to see if that works properly.

Windows 8.1 forgets dpi / display size settings for one monitor on almost every reboot

I use TV 32" with 1920x1080 and cintiq 13" with 1920x1080
when I boot my PC the resolution is fine but DPI is wrong.
In smaller monitor It's look like DPI is higher than the bigger one.
I already set dpi to be the same (smallest 100%) but it's not work until I do something to change display setting.
It's really annoy me. This problem is not happen when I use windows 8
Only solution I found is turn off
"Turn on fast start-up".
When I do that It's boot like what I want. every monitor is the same DPI.
But it'll make my boot time longer.
It should be just start up windows and use the same dpi from the start.
So I think this problem is a bug in windows 8.1

I've already used the latest graphic card driver. But It's won't help this issue.
In registry editor. I check those variables then value of them is already set like that blog suggest.
So , it look like when windows start-up(with fast start-up) It use something like
suggest value for different monitor size instead of what I set in control panel. But when I turn off fast start-up windows use my setting value.
And I think there are a lot of people who got the same problem as me.

Can you display multiple photos on one page with slide tool to transition between them?

Hi Folks,
I have a series of photos taken from the exact same location but on different days. I would like to display them on one page but use a slide tool/bar to move or transition between the photos. If the slide bar can display the date of the photo then that would be great.
Can this be done in adobe?
Any help would be great.

A Steve mentioned you can use a button to display an image. If you use JavaScript, you wouldn't have to show/hide multiple buttons but could instead dynamically set the button icon programmatically. The setup for something like this is a bit involved, but it's not overly complicated. Post again if you'd like more details.
The slide bar is the thing that would have to faked as there is no such built-in control, but something functionally equivalent could be done, it just may not behave as smoothly as you want.

Multiple Settings for One Monitor

I have my monitor set to the way I like it, it shows colors accurately and not overly bright (white doesn't blind me). However I edit photos for the web in PS and this is great for my screen but I have noticed when looking at other screens my photos will at times looked washed out and not a good presentation. If I manually change my monitor settings to be brighter (and a few other tweaks) I can replicate the look of other monitors close enough to help prevent washed out/blown out photos. Here is the issue, I need to be able to change settings between the two fairly easily. To manually set my monitor for one then back to the other can be time consuming and a pain to set right every time.
I would like to be able to preset certain settings (in software) that I can quickly switch between by pressing hotkeys or clicking shortcut on my desktop. I have an AMD video card and have attempted to use the AMD VISION Engine Control Center to add presets then tweak the settings for each. However when I switch between the presets the settings are the same.
How do I build presets using the VISION Engine Control Center that actually works (maybe I misunderstand what it is saving?) or is there a way to do this in Windows 7 or free software that actually works decently for this purpose?
Note: I post this here as I assume someone here has done this or seen soemthing like this.

Why not to use a event based monitor to detect the Task Schedule running status? I am not familar with VB script, the suggestion I can give is you need to check if the script cannot properly detect the running result of the task Schedule.

Setup for Macbook Pro & XP desktop with one monitor (Cintiq21UX from WACOM)

Is there a way to use the Cintiq 21UX as a monitor for both my my new Macbook Pro laptop & a Windows XP desktop? I would rather not have to change cables and have heard about a KVM switch from IOGEAR that might give this functionality. Ideally, I would use a single display, keyboard and mouse with both computers when using Photoshop. I don't know if the keyboard & mouse is a realistic goal.
My questions:
1. Will the KVM switch work at full resolution of the Macbook Pro and the XP? Will I need to adjust any settings?
2. What should I know about purchasing a KVM switch? What specs are needed to make it work with the single monitor? With the single monitor, keyboard and mouse?
3. What issues, if any, will I experience?

Displaying multiple content_type on one page

Hello all,
I have an application that is getting all of its content from a database, both text and binary and was trying to figure out how to display both the text and the binary data on one page using a SINGLE servlet (it might not be possible). I have a bean that holds all the data so it can be accessed both from JSP and the servlet, I tried the following

response.setContentType(myBean1.getContentType());
out.write(myBean1.getData());
<something is missing here probably>
response.setContentType(myBean2.getContentType());
out.write(myBean2.getData());
Now this compiles and runs, but let's say Bean1 is text and Bean2 is a gif, the picture does not show up, which is expected since I'm missing something in between the two, what is it?
In the meanwhile I have another servlet that returns a binary stream to the browser using the following
<img src='testing.displayBinary?id=xxxxx'>
Can this be done without using the second servlet?

An HTTP response has one content type.
You use seperate requests to serve an image and for this you may need to set some session variable to that the servlet serving the image knows what to do. If the text content has to be part of an HTML response you can use <pre> to ensure the formatting.
The basic idea is to understand what the HTML will look like before attempting to build a JSP or servlet.

I am new to the SharePoint 2013. I created multiple surveys in a team site, but I want to create a page and list all surveys out. Is it possible to do it? I tried using Content Query Web Part, but it didn't list out the name of the survey but display "blank".
