Display Only X-Axis in the Column Graph in SSRS

Hi Guys,
I am trying to display the only vertical axis and want to hide the series in the new chart as per below highlighted section with blank color. Do you know what are the steps I need to follow? Thanks.

Hi Badal,
If I understand correctly, you only want to display X-axis and hide all series values in column chart. Based on my research, if we use expression or directly hide all the series values in chart, the chart will be empty when we preview the report.
One workaround is that we delete the series values in the Values pane, then the chart will only display the X-axis.
If there are any misunderstanding, please elaborate the issue for further investigation.

my requirement is to be able to display only one variable in the report output header and hide the others. I am able to display all by using the INFO FIELD ITEM and saying variable display ON - but the requirement is very specific for only one variable display.

Hi,
You can insert a text item and Turn off the others or Hide these from Filter pane I have done that and then use that query for your WAD.
Steps:
1. Uncheck all the variables from your Design item in Analyzer.
2. Insert a New Text Item and check the Variable you want to display.
3. Go back and run the Query.
Even you can change the position in the Query and Save as a workbook.Let me know ,if this works.

Setting fixed width on columns with the Column Graph Tool

Hi,
I'm trying to perfect my charts a little.
Right now the width of my columns using the Column Graph Tool seem to be dictated by how many columns I got in total. So if I only have two columns both get really wide. But if I have four, they look just nice. Is there any way to set a fixed width on columns with the Column Graph Tool?

What am I thinking.
Select your graph double click the graph tool at the bottom of the dialog, enter the percentage you want the coulmns to be and the percentage you want that cluster to occupy.

Is there a way to change the time of a saved data to be as the same as the time-axis of the waveform graph?

Hi,
I've a problem while saving the waveform to a spreadsheet.
The problem that I'm facing is that I'm not able to save/change the time-axis of the waveform graph into the excel spreadsheet.
The attachments below are what I've programmed on.
1st file that would be asked to save is the results of the waveform.
2nd file, supposing to be the time-axis
3rd file, is the multiplication of results of CH 1 and CH 2.
Would be glad if someone can enlighten me with a solution which is suitable for LabView version 8.2 and Tektronix DPO 72004.

I've saved it as text file which could be read if I open it with excel spreadsheet.
My aim is to get the time-axis (x-axis) in the file rather than to get the date and time in the file.
The attachment is the waveform results that I've obtained.

No. Not without access to a computer running iTunes. You do want to use your own computer so that you can restore from your backup and sync your own content back from iTunes.

Sounds like there is some discrepancies in the tagging in iTunes. See this page for more information.

The column browser is no longer available when trying to view music in iTunes. I'm only able to use the column browser only when viewing playlists. Why?

I noticed that after one of the recent updates to iTunes, I am unable to view my music using the column browser type view. Only when I select one of my playlists is the music displayed with the column browser. When I select Music to view the contents of my library, only the album covers are displayed on the right side. The old column browser type display is not available any more - it is grayed out. I do have "show list views for all media" checked in my Preferences / General tab.
Did Apple screw up or is it me?

Displaying only certain properties in the Properties Pane

The properties pane that is available as a component in the Web Application Designer is quite a useful component. However, there are certain properties that we don't want to make available to the user.
At the moment I am using the property pane with the following config:
Property Set Definition : PROP_SET_PREDEFINED
Properties Source : Web Item Parameters
Web Item : Analysis
As mentioned, that works nicely, and shows me an area with 3 columns of properties, namely:
- Layout
    - Alternate Table Row Styles
- Cell Specific Settings
    - Exception Visualisation
    - Document icons for data
    - Document icons for metadata
    - Document icons for masterdata
- Data Specific Settings
    - Display Repeated Texts
    - Scaling Factos Visible
Now, we don't want to display the "document icons ..." properties, as that doesn't make sense for our users.
How would I go about not displaying those properties?
I have played around with the properties pane item, and I can see how to list a single property. For this I set:
Properties Set Definition = Single Value
Property Name = ALTERNATE_STYLES
This works, and I then only see 1 property being displayed. I can get the technical name of the property by using my standard pane with the verbose mode set to ON.
To display multiple propeties of my choosing, I thought I would be able to use the PROP_SET_MATRIX option. I can select this, then start defining the table. I need to assign the following properties:
- GROUP_DESC : <Not sure what to put in here>
- COLUMN : 1 (the number of columns I want)
The I have a "properties list", where it looks like I can specify which properties are to be include. For this I need to provide:
- Property Name : ALTERNATE_STYLES
- Caption : Alternate Table Row Styles
- Property Parent : < Don't know what to put in here>
I have tried various values in the Property Parent and the group_desc fields, but still I see nothing and sometimes get rather meaningless errors appearing.
Surely this shouldn't be a difficult task.?

Hi,
define a condition for all characteristics and for specially the keyfigure. Set it to < 0. That should do the trick.

Need to display only leaf and not the node using tree table

Am using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.0.0 . As per requirement , am having Department - Employee View wherein Department is the parent considered as node and Employee as a child which is considered as a leaf. Having dragged and dropped the DepartmentView as a tree table -> shuttle department id and department name to be displayed -> added EmployeeView to the same and shuttled employee id along with the first and last name. so this works as it has to be in the below structure...

Thanks for the reply. As the project has already implemented tree table they do not wanna change any logic written for the same. So they wanted to just display only the leaf node data using treetable component. Can you please suggest.

How do I XY graph two different signals each with its own y-axis on the same graph?

I have wired an n-ch, 1 sample VI to an xy graph express VI. I have two y-axis scales, but I only see a plot of one of the signals. Can anyone help me understand what I am doing wrong, and how to do it correctly? The VI as a whole may look ugly, but the flow of the signal from the xy-graph is obvious (but not working the way I want it to...). My sub-VI is attached. Thanks in advance, Christian

Hi Christian,
That express VI requires that you input an X data set for each plot.
If you must use that express VI, then for your program you need to insert a "build array" function, with two (or more) inputs, in line with the express VI's "X input", and wire your X data array to each of the build array function's inputs - see the example I've attached.
Personaly, I wouldn't use the express VI at all - it really isn't difficult to manipulate your data into the right format for the XY graph using simple functions - see the second example I've attached.

How to add two X Axis in the Column chart?Need Help

I have a requirement to add two X axis in the SSRS column chart.Can someone please help how to add two X axis. I tried the secondary axis for horizontal axis but current x axis is shifting to other side, second X axis is not coming.

According to your description, you want to add secondary X axis for one series in a column chart, right?
The secondary axis is useful when comparing two value sets with two distinct data ranges that share a common category. In Reporting Services, it’s not supported to create two X axis for one series. We can create secondary X axis when there are two series
in a column chart. As we tested in our local environment, we can add secondary X axis for specific series. Please refer to the screenshots below:
So I would like to know what’s your exact needs about creating two X axis for one series. If possible please share some detail information about your data and expected looking of the chart.

When you are doing fieldcatalog,comment ws_fieldcat-do_sum = 'x'.
if you comment that it wont display totals.
use sort
i_sort type slis_alv...
clear ws_sort.
ws_sort1-spos = '1'<position of field>
ws_sort-fieldname = 'matnr'.
ws_sort-up = 'x'.
append ws_sort to i_sort.
pass this i_sort to FM

Unfortunately, this approach does not work because the Calculate Result As --> Maximum applies not only to the subtotals but also to the grand total. Therefore, the result in Venu's example will be:
MAX(Grp1) = 100
MAX(Grp2) = 100
MAX(All Grps) = 100
We have the same requirement as Venu, but have not found a satisfactory solution yet. The only way we have solved such problems in the past is to use VBA in workbooks, but the report we are using now is a Web report.
