Displaying currentState without the _ character

I have a state called Data_Drilldown and if I use {currentState} in a text label it will return the state exactly as it is but I want to eliminate the underscore character. How do I display the current state of an application so it appears w/o the underscore character?

can anyone tell me the actual size of 24" imac display without the stand.
The dimensions mentioned in the tech. specs. are including the stand.

LCD Screen only: 52cm x 32cm (20.5" x 12.5"), 61cm diagonal (24", of course).

I create a sql*loader concurrent program to load the data. the data can be loaded into the table successfully(The chinese customer name is correct). Only for the aborted lines, it will be listed in the outtput of the concurrent request, but out of my expect, the chinese characters in the output are displayed as '?'.

You can find that any chinese characters are became '?'. The loaded line(Line 4th) is not listed in the output.

I need to use the new Thunderbolt Display without the stand on a VESA mount, but before I order it I need to make sure it will fit height-wise in the allotted space.

The ThunderBolt display specs page has the same sizes listed as the 27" LED Cinema Display specs page (web archive). I just measured my Cinema Display for you and the height of the display itself without the stand is 15 5/8". However, you will need some additional space at the bottom for air flow intake. These displays get hot and need proper ventilation so do not block the vents on the bottom. Also the bottom vents are where the speakers are.

How can show the Chinese character in Oracle Report Graph on RedHat Linux?

The OS is RedHat Linux and I set NLS="SIMPLIED CHINESE_CHINA.ZHS16GBK" in %ORA_AS_HOME%/bin/reports.sh
The report file is a JSP Web Report, including Chinese character in web HTML text and graph.
Now Chinese character in HTML text can be displayed correctly but the Chinese character in graph can not be display.
Anybody can help me? thanks a lot.

The report server is 9i and it is running in Oracle AS 904.

Getting zero to display as the first character

I know this should be simple, but I'm trying to get a zero to display as the first character in a field when necessary. For example last 4 of SSN. Any help would be appreciated.

You can achieve this in the Patterns dialog. Select the object and go to the Object > Field palette. There you can click the Patterns button and edit the Display Pattern.
For example, this would display a number without leading zeros: 12
num{zzz9}
Whereas if you use 9 it will display leading zeros: 0012
num{9999}

How can I just display the selected value of a listbox in a report without the reverse display and selection buttons?

I am using a table which contains a text field with a lookup. I want to use the selected value of this field in a form which is acting as a selection form. No editing of the field's value is permitted. How do I just display the value of the field (which
is considered a listbox on the form) without the reverse display and the up and down selection buttons.
I can provide an illustration of the condition I am trying to overcome, but this system doesn't accept it.

I found, after much experimentation, on a similar problem involving a multiselect lookup field, that if I make the field invisible, and add a textbox that displays the fieldname plus .column(0), it displays all the selected entries.
E.g.: staff.Column(0)
Staff is the field containing the last names of selected staff members.
staff.Value only shows the first name in the lookup list whether it is checked or not, so this is useless.
staff.column(0), however, (inexplicably) shows all the selected names, e.g. Jones, Smith, Wiggins.

How can I stop the last character of my password from being displayed?

Sorry, I'm sure this would have been asked before, but I couldn't locate it..
When unlocking my iPad, how can I stop it from displaying the last character of my password to everyone in the vicinity? This has got to be the fastest way to find out someone's password (just look at the screen as they type their 'secure' password!?). Having the iPad display your password letter by letter is really not acceptable when working in a non-secure environment.
Is there a setting somewhere, or will this be addressed in a new iOS, or just ignored as a 'that's the way it is'?

Are you suggesting that someone looking over your shoulder can't see the keys that you're tapping with your fingers? In the interest of security, i would never, under any circumstances, enter a password when others are around.

Only display the first character issue

I'm using CR 2008 to generate reports.
I use oracle database.
I use a stored procedure to get data and everything working fine ,it return correct data.
I have five details section but i display one details section and i suppress others
My issue is execute the rpt file to presssig F5 key;   string type record is only able to print the first character on the preview.
eg: record with value 'ABCDE', after printed on rpt file, only character 'A' was printed on the preview.
if i verify database, it display correct data but a few times later problem occurs again
Anyone know how to fix it?

How do I get my bookmarks to display again in a column on the left of my screen, just as it always has and the way I like them. I do not want to use full screen display without the bookmarks showing.

Page display without the dot htm

A charity want a website but are broke,, i have offered them
a page off my
bussiness site.

that is easier to say without the htm on the end
i have the file charity.htm and upload it but it will not
display unless the
htm is on the end. how do i get it to display with out the
htm?
when i take the htm off the file i cannot open it but it will
display on the
site the way i want, only problem is that when i update it i
have to change
it back to .htm on local site, edit it and save then remove
the htm and then
upload it.
Is there a simpler way?

Hmmmmm, seems I was wrong about the GREP styles. I just tried it and they don't get picked up. I consider that a bug, but it's probably "as designed."
That leaves you having to work with nested styles only, or Find/Change. I think what you'll need to do is redefine the Paragraph style so it has two nested styles that apply the correct style to whatever needs to be styled at the start of the paragraph, one for the first character and the second for the rest of the word(s) if you can figure out a trigger (can InData add an end nested style character or is thew some punctuation you can use?), then find/change to remove the applied character style. For that I'd serach for ^.+ with the find format set to the character style that InData applied and the chane format set to [None], which will only remove it from the beginning of your paragraphs. If this is done correctly there will be no change in appearance since the redefined paragraph style will do the formatting.
If that won't work, you can use find/change to apply a new style to the first characters. Search for ^. and set the change format to the new character style that you'll use in the variable. It needs to have the same attributes as the style applied by InData or the appearance will change.
The second method is probably easier since you don't need to redfine the paragraph style, but both methods require you to use find/change to alter the text, which means if more text is added you'll need to re-do the find/change. Not a big deal, but don't forget. I'd be tempted to wait until the last minute and just ignore the headers for the moment, if editing is ongoing. I'd also test this on a copy of the file for safety.

You don't state what iMac it is or what you want to use it for an external display with so we cannot answer the question. But without a bootable drive, no you cannot. However you can get the internal HD replaced or you can connect an external HD and boot from it. Without some basics about the computer it's impossible question to answer. One question, Doug: Obviously, you can select only the localization there. Is this PostScript Characters for all languages? Or is it possible to switch to something like true types, e.g. "Wingdings"? (I know, bad example, but i hope you get the point)
