Displaying Custom images in Web Layout

Hello all,
Can anyone please tell tell me how to display a custom .gif image in web layout instead of the standard gif(rwbeige_logo.gif). Where do I've to store the image, for it to be detected during runtime. Thanks in advance.
Reagards,
Arun.V

for where you store the image you can store it in the database table in the blob column such as. for the report layaut containing image take the following:
- in the report layaut you can create a report selecting a table that containing the blob column.
- in the report layaut, modify the property of the item that present the database blob column to image.

  • Oracle BLOB  Display an image in Web Form

    I have an Oracle database that stores image data. The data type of this image column is BLOB. I created a Window application using Visual C#, Oracle Provider for OLE DB to display the images on the Window forms. The mechanism to retrieve the data from Oracle database from client is to call an Oracle stored procedure that returns BLOB type. Now I want to convert it into Web application. I have difficulty to find
    (1) Appropriate web control
    (2) A way to bind OracleLOB object to this web control so the image can be displayed.
    I am aware of the fact that in ASP .NET you can use ImageUrl property of an Image object to link a file stored in a particular URL.
    Your help is very much appreciated.

  • Displaying a Report in Web Layout

    Hello All,
    Can anyone please tell me how to display reports in web layout during runtime. I've created a report in month_report.jsp, having both Web Layout & Paper Layouts. At runtime when I call the report the Paper Layout version is getting displayed. Is there any extra parameter I've to pass.
    For Example if I give the following address
    http://host-110:7778/reports/rwservlet?&report=month_report.jsp&destype=cache&desformat=htmlcss&userid=admin/test@testing&p_month=JANUARY
    I get to see the Paper Layout version of the report. What I want is the Web layout. Is there any thing or any setting I've change in the Reports server. Kindly help me out on this.
    Regards,
    Arun.V

    Thanks for your reply dsegard,
    I tried out your suggestion. It seems the I'm able to access the jsp report. But I'm getting the following error on screen.
    The XML page cannot be displayed
    Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
    A name was started with an invalid character. Error processing resource 'http://host-150/test/monthly_rpt.jsp'. Line ...
    <%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/lib/reports_tld.jar" prefix="rw" %>

    I checked by accessing a simple jsp page without a tag library. It's worked fine. I also checked to see whether the corresponding jar file was missing from the library.But it wasn't. Could you please point out what's causing this error.

  • JPEG Image Stretches Web Layout

    Hi, I'm Using Dreamweaver 8 And whenwhenever I Go to The "Insert" And Try to Put a Image into My Table, It stretches the Whole Layout Out. You can view it at

    I Designed The Web Layout And Sliced The Images in Photoshop..
    Mistake #1.  Don't use graphic apps to generate your HTML code.  The code is far too rigid and unstable for use in real web sites.  Use graphics apps for images only.  Use Dreamweaver to build your HTML and CSS code.
    Start with one of the pre-built CSS Layouts in DW.
    Go to File > New > Blank page > HTML.
    Choose a layout from the 3rd panel and hit Create.
    SaveAs index.html (your home page).
    Insert images into your HTML.
    Use CSS panels to add backgrounds and other styles to your content.
    Save and preview in browsers.

  • Displaying .ICO images in web browser

    I have a need to display .ICO icon images within the browser. I'm finding that in MSIE they don't always work and in Firefox they display but they are very blurred. I'm wondering if anybody is aware of anything built into CF that might fix this problem? Possibly a flash component?
    CF never ceases to amaze me, it always has a tag or component for every issue, but this one might be a problem!
    Thanks

    Yeah, since CF is a server technology and "I have a need to display .ICO icon images within the browser." kind of indicates that you are dealing with a client issue.
    I am fairly confidant that the <cfimage...> tag is not going to do anything with the .ico format.  At least I have never heard about it doing so.  It is possible that there is java code out there that could do something with the ico format that will make it work better.  If so, it should be pretty easy to inovke the java from within your CFML.

  • How to display an image, which is stored in a database?

    Hi All,
    I would like to display an image with Web Dynpro.
    I already know how to display an image which is stored in the path src/mimes/Components/...
    But does anybody knows, how to display an image which is stored in a database (e.g. MaxDB)as a datatype of binary?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Silvia

    Hallo John,
    yes, you can use the Image UI element.
    Further you have to create a String for the URL. Implement like as follows:
    IWDCachedWebResource cachedResource = null;
    String imgUrl = null;
    WDAttributeInfo attInfo = wdContext.getNodeInfo().getAttribute(IPrivateXYView.IXYElement.PIC_DB);
    IWDModifiableBinaryType binaryType =
                   (IWDModifiableBinaryType) attInfo.getModifiableSimpleType();
    binaryType.setMimeType(WDWebResourceType.JPG_IMAGE);//Example *.jpg
    WDWebResourceType type = binaryType.getMimeType();
    byte[] file = wdContext.currentXYElement().getPicDB();
    if (file != null)
    cachedResource = WDWebResource.getWebResource(file, type);
    try
    imgUrl = cachedResource.getURL();
    catch (WDURLException e)
    IWDMessageManager msgMgr = wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager();
                        msgMgr.reportException(e.getLocalizedMessage(), true);
    I hope it will help you.

  • How to display an image located in the WEB-INF directory?

    Basically, When a user registers, they a directory is created with their username that holds images that they can upload. How do I display those images. All I am holding in the database is the location of the images.
    ive tried
    <img src="/WEB-INF/users/testuser/picture.jpg" />
    but this doesnt work and for obvious security reasons shouldnt.. but is there another way of doing what i want to do? perhaps a custom tag? thanks
    Jazz

    You would have to write a generic servlet that would return an image
    <img src="/getImage?user=testuser&pic=picture.jpg" />Your servlet would basically fetch the file from under web-inf, and then stream it back to the user.
    Methods to use:
    servletContext.getRealPath() (to help find the file on disk), relative to your web app
    getOutputStream (as opposed to getWriter)
    It is only in this way that you can access files on the server outside of the public web directories.
    Hope this helps

  • How to display clob/blob in the web layout using Reports9i

    Hi,
    I've created a report that selects both a clob and blob datatype in the query. However, when I run the report using the 'Run Web Layout' tool no data is displayed for these columns. Does the <rw:field> tag support such datatypes ?.
    Regards,
    Chris

    Hi Chris,
    Reports9i supports both BLOB and CLOB in both paper as well as web layout. Pl make sure that in the column properties that you want to display, you have selected the "File Format" correctly (to do this, go to data model > column > property inspector > file format). Eg, you can select "text", "image" etc depending on what you have stored in the column. Also, when you want to display an image in the web layout, you will have to write containsHtml="yes" inside your <re:field> tag.

  • When displaying images in web browser, next images appears on page where I left last doc

    Hello, I am in need of some help here.
    I have an application that displays PDF images using Adobe Reader X v 10.1.4 through a web browser. What is happening is I view a document and scroll down to say page 2.
    When I leave that document and go the next one, that document opens on page 2.
    Is there anything I can do in the setting of Adobe or the way that I am making my call to show the image through the web browser to display the next image at the top of the page, rather than displaying it where I left off on the last document?
    I have tried unchecking the option for Restore last view settings when reopening a document and also open cross-document links in the same window. Both of these had no effect on the issue I am encountering.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Scott

    I am not sure how to fix the problem using the FGL framework, but here is a way to get the right result
    In the CSS file under the @media only screen and (min-width: 769px) section, modify the following style rules
    #menu {
        clear: both;
        float: left;
        margin-left: 0;
        width: 20%;
        display: block;
        vertical-align:top;
    #content {
        clear: none;
        float: right;
        margin-right: 0%;
        width: 80%;
        display: block;
    Having said that, you will do well to scrap FGL and have a look at Bootstrap

  • Load and Display Multiple Images in a Web Dynpro Table

    I am new to Web Dynpro and I am wondering if anyone can help me with an application that I am currently developing. I have a particular requirement to store images in a database table (not MIME repository) and then display them in a WD table element. An image can be of JPEG, PNG or TIFF format and is associated with an employee record.
    I want to create a view in my application that displays multiple images in a table, one image per row. I want to do this using Web Dynpro for ABAP, not Java. I have looked into pretty much all examples available for Web Dynpro and came to the conclusion that Components such as WDR_TEST_EVENTS and WDR_TEST_UI_ELEMENTS do not have any examples of images being stored in a database table and viewed in/from a Web Dynpro table element. Programs such as RSDEMO_PICTURE_CONTROL, DEMO_PICTURE_CONTROL and SAP_PICTURE_DEMO do not show this either.
    The images to be displayed in the Dynpro table are to come from a z-type table, stored in a column of data type XSTRING (RAW STRING). So I would also like to know how to upload these images into this z-type table using ABAP code (not Java).
    Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    May be this is the is the correct place to post your query.
