Hi,
i am devlopeing one custom page in oracle jdevloper9i
in that page,i need to display the image while clicking the button.
How to do that one can any one help me?

As per the requirement i need to display the customer signature on that page.
once the user select the customer number,customer details will come automatically,after customer verified his details he will click a button then customer details wants to display on image item.
The customer details ia already stored in some other table.

Problem in Shuttle region in a custom OA framework page

Hi,
We are facing the following problem in a OA framework custom requirement. Urgent help is needed!!
Problem Description:
1. We have two shuttle regions in our OA page. One is Organization and next department.
2. The Department shuttle is dependent on the Organization shuttle meaning, when user selects some Organizations in the trailing list of the Org shuttle. Departments pertaining to those orgs must be displayed in the leading list of the next shuttle i.e Departments so as to restrict the user to select only the departments pertaining to the already selected orgs.
3. Both shuttles are on the same rergion and context.
We have tried to leverage PPR but without any effect. Also if we make the VO for the Dept shuttle dynamic according to the Org selection the values dont change dynamically on the next shuttle.
Please suggest a suitable approach.

I have added an image to my page, however I can't get it to
display as a percentage of the entire page instead of pixels.

That would depend entirely on what you want to accomplish
with the layout.
Resolution is not the critical issue. Browser viewport width
is. To make
your decision you need to have some ideas about the following
issues -
1. What is the primary target demographic for this site?
2. What are the browsing habits of that demographic? Do they
normally have
their browser window maximized on the screen?
3. If they usually have their browser maximized, what is the
typical screen
width?
4. If they usually do NOT have their browser maximized, what
is the MINIMUM
screen width in that demographic.
5. How do I want to build the page?
a. Fixed width and left aligned?
b. Fixed width and centering?
c. Flexible to fill whatever width from left to right?
d. Flexible (within limits) and left aligned?
e. Flexible (within limits) and centering?
As you can see, this decision is probably much more complex
than you
thought, and will require that you know quite a bit about
your intended
target visitor and their browsing habits.
If you elect to go with 5a, or 5b, then your decision would
be - 'what is
the mimimum browser width I want to support without
horizontal scrolling?'.
Once you have determined that minimum supported width, all of
your decisions
are made. That's how wide you want your page to be.
If you elect to go with 5c, then you just build your page
within a flexible
container (the simplest example - although an obsolet one -
would be to use
a 100% width table to hold the entire page). Be aware that
pages with
limited text content can look VERY sparse and empty on wide
viewports when
built in this way.
If you elect to go with 5d, or 5e, then you would add this
sophistication to
your decision matrix -
'what is the greatest width I want to allow the page and its
contents to
become?'
In this case, you would use the CSS styles - 'min-width' and
'max-width' on
the primary page container. Just so you'll know, although
these styles are
well supported *now*, earlier versions of IE (and some other
browsers) will
not support them so reliably.

How to display images on a servlet generated page???

Hi, I am developing an app in which I must display some messages, each message may have an image. The images are saved in the database. I do not want to save the image on the filesystem but instead of that I want to send the image as an attribute to the page but I dont know then how to display it. I have no idea about how to do that! Any help on this would be very appreciated!

mmm yes I know that the img tag displays an image but I am asking how to display the image without saving the file into the server filesystem, I mean something like:
1.- getting the bytes from the Database
2.- getting an Image object
3.- pasing it to the request as an attribute
4.- getting that attribute from the request
5.- displaying it on somehow directly from the image var or something.
the src parameter of the img tag takes as a string the path of the image, but i dont want to save it.

Assuming you are using PSQuery.
In your query go to the expressions tab.
Add in the following:
SUBSTR(sys_context('USERENV', 'CLIENT_INFO'), 1, INSTR(sys_context('USERENV', 'CLIENT_INFO'), ',', 1, 1) - 1)
That will return who is running the query in your results.
Then you use this field in your XMLP template.

PDF Viewer embedded in OA Framework page

Hi All
Is it possible to embed a PDF viewer into a framework page such that it could display an
existing PDF that is held in an external document management system and accesssed via a url ?
Context ...
We will have a custom OA Framework page that will be displaying invoice details.
The invoice image will be held in a document management system probably Documentum.
The invoice image could be retrieved by opening the URL to that image document.
Simple solution has a url link on the invoice details page for the image. When user clicks on the
link a new window will open and display the PDF.
Business have asked if it would be possible to display the invoice data fields AND the PDF image on the
same window rather than needing to open a new window ?
Is this possible ?

Display image in Smart camera web interface

Hi!
I need some assistance with LV-RT.
What I have succeeded is to enalble the web server on NI 17XX camera and successfully displayed a VI with Image Display on it. I thikn I got the hang of it.
What I would like to know is there another way to display images on the camera web page. I really do not need the whole VI up there just an image and a string with serial number. One way I know would work is to write an image file to the system memory and then embed that image to the web page, but I am not sure that is the best solution as writing process takes time and it is not recommended to write too often to the program memory (am I right?).
So, is there some way to assign some object to say a memory bank and display it (without having to install the runtime maybe) on the page?

Hey Mart,
Going back to your original question; are you looking to stream images to a web page from your smart camera or simple see what your camera is seeing when you go to a particular site? Take a look at the sample project below. It is sort of a work around, but it posts an image to a web service. Essentially it snaps an image, saves it, and then posts the saved image to a web service. You will have to change the file path for the image, then build and deploy the webservice from the project view. Also, it would be beneficial to take a look at the webservice build specifications. The webbing to view the snapped image from your local machine would then be viewable from your web browsers at the address : "http://localhost/Stream_Service/ShowImag"
Let us know if you have trouble getting this example working. Also, perhaps another visit to what your end goal is would be helpful. What was it that you had working?

Displaying image from database table.

Hi All,
   I am very new to Web Dynpro ABAP.
I am developing an application to display an image in "Image" UI Element.
For this I have one table consisting of fields image id, image data and image name. here image id is primary key field.
Now i want to display an image from that table in "Image" UI Element. For this i am using "Filedown load" UI element.
But by using filedownload ui element i can diaplay image in another new page.
But my requirement is to display image in the same web page without creating a new one.
(I want to display the image in "Image" UI element without storing that image in MIME objects.)
Can anyone help me.

What you describe is completely possible. Since you have the image data (XSTRING) in the context you have everything you need. You don't need to store the content into the MIME Repository, but you do need to get it somewhere where it has an externally accessible URL. Remember you need to supply image UI element with a URL. This URL is processed on the client side by the web browser. Therefore just giving it a path to the context won't work as that isn't externally accessible.
I would suggest instead that you place the image content into the ICM cache temporarily. This lets you basically generate a temporary URL for the image that can be used by the Image UI element.
Here is some example code that pushes images into the ICM Cache:
****Create the cached response object that we will insert our content into
DATA: cached_response TYPE REF TO if_http_response.
CREATE OBJECT cached_response
    TYPE
      cl_http_response
    EXPORTING
      add_c_msg        = 1.
   try. " ignore, if compression can not be switched on

****Create a unique URL for the object

****Cache the URL

Displaying images from url connection

I'm working on an application that extracts information from html content (textual, colors, images...) and evaluates rates of emotion and personality.
I need to access and display images contained in a web page.
How can I add an image to a pane and display it knowing its url,
for example I want to display image.jpg knowing http://www.website.com/image.jpg

The ImageIcon class in javax.swing can accept a URL in the constructor:

OA Framework Page Deployment Error

I am receiving the following error when I try to execute the click the menu for a custom OA Framework Page:
1.) oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: No data found for region "NamePG"
2.) oracle.adf.mds.MetadataDefException: Unable to find component with absolute reference /Path/NamePG
During deployment I completed the following:
1- Transfered XML file in ASCI mode.
2- Transferred Class files in Binary mode.
3- Changed permission on all Class file to 777
4- Ran the Import batch file on the PG.xml file and confirmed an metadata entry was created in the database.

Issue in Customizing the Logon Page and Replacing the Logon Panel Image

I have facing problem in Customizing the Logon Page and Replacing the Logon Panel Image in Hyperion Workspace 11.1.2.1. I have tried multiple time.
First Replacing the Logon Panel Image. I have following the steps given in admin guide of EPM workspace on page 25 and they are as follow
To replace the image that is displayed on the logon panel:
1 Create an image file named logon_panel.gif with dimensions that match previous image.
2 Rename the installed version of logon_panel.gif to logon_panel.gif.original in
%EPM_ORACLE_HOME% /common/epmstatic/bpmui/themes/<do for each
theme>/images_global. Move the logon_panel.gif file that you created in step 1 to this
directory.
3 Clear your browser cache.
Note: You do not need to restart the Hyperion Foundation Services - Manager Server.
But still I am getting the same default image on log in page.
The other problem I am facing is Customizing the Logon Page.

To customize the logon page:
1 Follow instructions in the topic Extract a file in the Workspace Web Application.

But I am not able to find file bpmui.jar in step 3 of above one (*). I have marked for your connivance.
I am able to see these file in that directory

WPC Runtime Error in Customer Framework Page

Hi again,
after successful proof of concept of WPC we have integrated some WPC Pages and iViews in our standard roles. Pages are displayed well with default framework page.
But using customer specific framework (via portal url alias /portal/mySite and corresponding display rules) we get an error displaying wpc content in runtime:
Cannot render container : com.sap.engine.lib.xml.util.NestedException:
Could not load class: com.sap.nw.wpc.km.service. editor.xslt.XsltHelper
RuntimeStandard required for extension library. -> java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
com.sap.nw.wpc.km.service. editor.xslt.XsltHelperRuntimeStandard Found in negative cache
I have checked SAP Note 1133788 (Com.sap.engine.lib.xml.util.NestedException in WPC) which seems to be related, but adjusting of XSLT Helpers for Editor setting does not fix the problem.
I mentioned that settings for standardruntime entry (com.sap.nw.wpc.km.service.editor.xslt.XsltHelperRuntimeStandard) should match to customer Alias insted of default portal, but changing these setting won't have any visible result.
If I use default framework page with customer layout wpc runtime will work - so we have a temporary solution, but we want to avoid changing default framework page.
Any hints or documentation?

How do you display images relative to a Portlet JSP page?

For Welblogic Portal 7.0, I want to display a simple image (.gif) on a JSP page.
The problem is that I need to use a 'hard coded' url to the image such as the following:
<img src="portlets/test/images/test.gif" border="0" alt="Test 1">
- OR -
<img src="<webflow:createResourceURL resource="/portlets/test/images/test.gif" />"
border="0" alt="Test 2">
This makes the portlet less portable.
My goal is to display an image relative to the current JSP Portlet page (in the test
directory).
Does anyone know how to accomplish this?
In WL Portal 4.0 I used:
<img src="<%=fixupRelativeURL(pathFromRequest(request) + "images/test.gif", request)%>"
width=24 height=22 border=0 alt="test">
This does not work anymore as fixupRelativeURL does not seem to exist in the 7.0
API.

Having trouble displaying images on a page in APEX through IE.

I'm trying to conditionally display images (used as toggle buttons) in a tabular report in APEX. This is for our Benefits application where an employee can include or exclude his/her dependents from the plan. For each row, in one column I want to show only 'Include' button if an individual is not already a member, and in another column show only 'Remove' button if already included. I'm using the button images as links and passing information to a page process.
I was able to come up with the SQL query which works perfectly fine in Firefox. But the images won't display in Internet Explorer. Does anyone have any idea how to make this work in IE?
Below is my query. This code will display 'Include in plan' image only if the member is not already added to the plan. If 'Y' is the result of the query, then the member is already included and no image is displayed. Otherwise display the image. Pass the member_id to an application item and process the record in a Before Header process.

I was able to resolve this issue by creating the SQL statement from scratch in IE. It then recognized the images.
