DKACB-XERGO Assignment to a profitability segment has no effect for account

Hi,
I have a batch input (FB01) in error for this message:
Assignment to a profitability segment has no effect for account XXXXXXXXXX
This account is not to opened as cost element...and this is correct.
If I process batch input in foreground, I notice that field 'Profit. Segment'
(DKACB-XERGO) is flagged.
How Can I unflag this field?
Where 'Profit. Segment' is customized?

I am wondering what is behind the batch input or what process is used to do that. For e.g, when I tried entering FB01 transaction with a pure G/L account (it has no cost element) and clicked on the profitability segment icon, I got the same message what you got.
So could it be possible that batch input goes through the 'Detail screen for profitability segment' though it may not be required?

Assign WBS and Profitability segment

Dear Gurus,
I want to make Sales Order for project but when the quotation creted from the project, it assign WBS element automatically and the profitability segment is unchangeable (grey). How to fill profitability segment automatically even we create quotation from Project?
or can we fill both wbs and profitability segment in same time? if we do it, will it post as statistical n true?

Hi,
If CO-PA is active settlement transfer the costs and revenue of the sales order item to profitability segment in CO-PA, if not active it gets transferred to G/L account in FI.
Regarding functionality of Profitability segment - Need to specify Characteristics in CO-PA for profitability segments and these characteristics are used for Information system and planning. Charcteristics which are not involved in profitablity segment remains in the line item of CO-PA. In essence charcteristics decides on profitablity segments.
Regarding removal of Profitablity segment no in Sales order .Kindly refer back to the earlier threads.

I think you are trying to integrate FICA with CO-PA and then getting the error.
The posting of a contract accounts A/R & A/P document in CO-PA is dependent on-
(a) Activation of the operating concern in the SPRO node Controlling → Profitability Analysis →
Structures → Define Operating Concern → Maintain Characteristics
and
(b) CO short account assignment of the contract in the SPRO Node Financial Accounting → Contract
Accounts Receivable and Payable → Basic Functions → Posting and Documents → Documents
→ Define Account Assignments for Automatic Postings → Store CO Short Account Assignments
for IS-U Contracts.
In here, the system only carries out the posting if the Profitability Segment Assigned selected in CO
account assignment.

Profitability Segment while releasing invoice to Accounting

Hi,
I am configuring a scenario in which a debit memo request and a corresponding debit memo will be created. Users want to put in a WBS element at the line item level of the debit memo request (which is fine). Business gave me a GL account in which the profitability segment is a required entry. Now, when I try to release the invoice to accounting, I get an error saying "Field Prof.Segmt is a required field for G/L account" (Msg Number F5808). I know that by changing the field status group on the GL account, i can make it post, but that is not the point. I want to know
a. Why system is unable to determine the profitability segment (i entered GL account in OKB9 and checked auto determination of profitability segment)
b. Is it because I am using the WBS element and trying to post to both FI and CO (because, when i use WBS in sales order, during account determination, system looks for KOFK condition type to determine the GL account) and i am not supposed to do that? If i do not use a WBS, then, the posting happens (using KOFI) and the profitability segment is also determined.)
Please let me know if you need more information.

We closed this issue by changing the field status group for the GL account. Though this is not the perfect answer, we had to do it for the business need.

HT1320 Ipod 4th gen was accidentally disconnected from laptop during update process. Now permanent screen pic is of power cord w/ an arrow pointing up to itunes. Holding the ctr & power buttons together has no effect for reset.

Holding the ctr & power buttons together for 6-10 sec causes apple pic to briefly appear and power cord/itunes pic reappears. Powering off and on has same effect. Attempting to reset.

It sounds like the iPod touch is in Recovery Mode, Try to restore it from iTunes again.

JSF1.0. valueChangeListener has no effect for inputHidden

inputHidden has valueChangeListener, but it looks like it has no effect.
For example:
<h:inputHidden valueChangeListener="#{GetNameBean.callMe}" id="userName" />
if I replace inputHidden with inputText, the listener is been fired. Is it a bug or what? The same code works in the jsf-ri1.0 beta.
P.S. the same problem in case of using <f:valueChangeListener>

GetStylesheets().add("css_file") has no effect for Scene in JFXPanel

I'm using Netbeans 7 to build a JavaFx application that has a Swing UI with a JFXPanel. No matter what I try, I can't get the scene to use my stylesheet.
The content of my CSS file is correct. E.g.:

The path to the CSS file is correct. (e.g. "/packagename/mystyle.css"), I've also tried:

My node (a BorderPane) is set to use the CSS class :
comp2.getStyleClass().add("my-component");
I've verified the syntax by changing it to one of the built-in classes e.g. "button" and the results are seen in the UI.
But I can't get anything from my CSS file to work. There are no error messages logged or exceptions thrown. I can fill the CSS file with nonsense errors and it has no effect.. it's like the file isn't being used at all.
When I use the SAME CSS file in a pure JavaFX application, that is, NOT using JFXPanel, I see a warning if the path to the CSS file is wrong: "WARNING: com.sun.javafx.css.StyleManager$2 run Resource "null" not found."
When the path is correct in that case, it seems to work fine.
What could be the problem?

Sales Order No profitability segment!! Account assignment error!!!

Dear Experts
We are running an MTO(make to order) scenario!
First we create an contract in the system!Then we create sales order
with reference to this contract!
And when the sales order is sent to the planning department! They use
TCODE:CO08 create production order with reference to the sales order!
But we get an error message as follows:
Account assignment cannot be carried out because of different origin no.
Message no. V1134
Diagnosis
The sales document to which you want to refer is based on sales document 41033737 and item 000010.
Therefore, the settlement and possibly inventory management are carried out using the number of the
preceding document.
ut when I entered the the contract in Co08 and then I am able to create
the production order.
And when I back to see the detail in the sales order ,I find there is no
value in the account assignment to the profitability segment!!
Why the sales order have no profitability segment??*
Why we can not create production order with reference to sales order??
It seems there are one problem!

LSMW-adding Profitability segment in FI document by batch

I do the LSMW using the standard batch to post the FI document:

and In my FI document one account is the revenue account and should to assign the PSG ( Profitability Segment)
and so i set the related field about the PSG such like RKE_PRCTR ( PSG-profit center) and so on in the source structure and map them to the related BBSEG's PSG field just like RKE_PRCTR , and i found the read data and convert data, it is ok, but when i excute, it seems the data about the PSG can't upload to the related field, and i'm sure that the field's data is correct, so could you tell me except to map the PSG'S field , which field should i also set? thanks very much

Can you execute the posting batch in the foreground and revert with the message it returns. In certain screens it should give you a message like: Screen field XXX-XXXXX does not exist.

This can occur if you have deleted data from table CE41001 and have
already assigned data to profitability segments in this operating
concern.

BAPI_INTERNALORDER_CREATE settlement rule for profitability segment

I am trying to create internal orders using BAPI_INTERNALORDER_CREATE, in the Settlement rules data I want to settle to profitability segment but I can't find away to do this. I can settle to other orders, cost centers and WBS elements but not PSG.
Are you guys aware of any way I cant do this. How can I derive profitability segment from PNL? is there other functions that will help do this?

Yes that field is enabled for settling from settlement profile configuration. The other enabled fields like order, cost centers and profit centers are available.
I think the BAPI is missing this functionality since the profitability segment has to be derived from other characteristics like PNL.
Are you guys aware of any functions that do the derivation of the profitability segment given PNL for example?
In this case where the BAPI is missing some key function what is the best way forward?

Profitability Segment Required during depreciation run

Hi,
I'm encountering an error during depreciation run since we set the fields selection for depreciation accounts to require for profitability segment. The reason we require for profitability segment is in order for all postings to generate COPA document.
Is there other way to transfer depreciation postings to COPA? We couldn't generate COPA documents for these postings right now.
Please guide.

Hi,
Generally depreciation expenses are assigned to the cost center. Configurations are maintained in ACSET tcode... Here no option to maintain COPA Segment as cost object.
On first hand, u will post depreciation to the cost center and then as I said earlier u do the cost center-copa assessment.
When u create the copa assessment cycle, u should be clear on which basis(Receiving tracing Value field i.e. either based on sales value, or based on someother value field) u want to assess the depreciation to the selected characteristics say..comapny code, cost center, plant.
Ofcourse, prerequisites is to have assessment cost element and Transfer structure.
U need to see the receivers the moment u click "Receiver Weighting Factor" Tab in u r cycle-segment defintion. If u dont get any receivers, try changing u r selection in the earlier tabs. Once u get the values here, it will surely create copa document.

While I am creating Sales order the following incomplete data error occurs;

Message No:VU019
Diagnosis
The system checked the document for completion and found some missing data.
You cannot continous the process,
Pls anyone aware of this issue.
Likely the setting will be missing in CO-PA area configuration.

Case 1: if you do not have the profitability segment in the incompletion procedure of the item category (transaction OVA2), it will be checked nevertheless if the profitability segment is required from a business point of view (for example, if the account-based profitability analysis is active in transaction KEKE, the incoming sales orders for the controlling area is active in transaction KEKF, etc...). When the profitability segment is required from a business point of view, it is checked in a "hard-coded" incompletion procedure and that´s why the order may be incomplete even if the profitability segment is not maintained in the incompletion procedure. If it is not required from a business point of view, this "hard-coded" incompletion procedure will be set as complete.
Case 2: if you explicitly have the profitability segment in the incompletion procedure of the item category (OVA2), the profitability
segment will be checked no matter if it is required from a business point of view or not.
Please read note 114520 which describes this standard behaviour. This note also describes the system behaviour if the profitability segment has been included explicitly in the incompletion procedure (our case 2) in point 2. In this case, the solution would be to remove the field VBAP-PAOBJNR from the incompletion procedure (providing that the profitability segment is not required from a business point of view).

Profitability segment screen

Hello gurus,
we have upgraded our SAP R/3 system from 4.7 to ECC6.0 and screen "Assignment to a profitability Segament" has changed order of the fields. Is it possible using customzing to change order of the fields?
Reason why I'm asking is that we do have batch input programs, filling data and now we would need to re-program them.

thanks for the hint. I have compared settings and found out that they're same. So upgrade didn't changed order of the fields on the screen.
After all I realized differences while processing transaction KB21N using BDC session. I had to update our custom program. Now it's working for us.
