Do all MSI Nvidia 750 TI graphics card have hybrid bios?

I have been advised to get a MSI Nvidia gtx 750 TI graphics card that has a hybrid bios switch as my HP pavilion has had compatibility issues with another graphics cards in the past. Im  having a look on Amazon but im really not sure what one to choose as i dont know which ones have hybrid bios. Do all MSI GTX 750 TI card have hybrid bios or only certain ones? Im really not very good when it comes to things like this and i want to make sure i get it right so i thought i would ask, hope you can help.
Thanks Steve

If the VGA card have hybrid bios, it will write on the product box.
But since the website spec didn't mention it , I think it is better to ask the Amazon seller before you buy it...
You can check >>MSI website for hybrid BIOS introduction<<...

  • Supported motherboards for GTX 750 Ti graphics cards

I currently have an older HPE 410T desktop with an OEM'd MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E) motherboard (6.12 BIOS) and a 300 watt PSU.  Is it compatible with any of the MSI GTX 750 Ti graphics cards?  (The HP forum suggested the MSI NVIDIA GTX N750 Ti and the MSI GTX 750 TF might work.)  If not, which MSI graphics cards are compatible with the system?
Alternatively, I'm considering purchasing an HP Envy 700-215xt with a Memphis-B motherboard and a 300 watt PSU.  Is that system compatible with any of the MSI GTX 750 Ti graphics cards?
The reviews I've read indicate the GTX 750 Ti only requires a 300 watt PSU, however all of the MSI GTX 750 Ti graphics cards indicate they require a 400 watt PSU.  Is that correct?  That is, am I going to have to replace the 300 watt PSU to run an MSI GTX 750 Ti graphics card?
    Thanks for any help?

Yes, you will need to upgrade your PSU. The Watt rating although recommended is just a guideline, what is important is the 12V rail Amps. So ensure you get a good quality single 12V rail supply with 20A+ on the 12V rail.  And that is valid for any 750 Ti card not only MSI. The amps specified mean total for a typical system with this card. The reviews you may have read may refer to the power draw for the card itself only.
As for compatibility with your board, you will have to ask the HP support as this forum focuses on pure MSI products and not OEM. In principle it should work but if that board does not have PCIE 2.0 slots at least, then i.t may not work.

    3DMark Fire Strike score: 6441
3DMark Fire Strike Extreme score: 3384
    3DMark Fire Strike Ultra score:1262
The excel performance proof the brand new 960 graphics card comes with good a high Cost/Performance Value.
Now, check out this test benchmark score of the renowned game “The Crew”.
The game presents an ultra-quality display, 60 Frames Per Second (FPS)
    FPS: Average frames is at:
    Frames: 3859 - Time: 76828ms - Avg: 50.229 - Min: 43 - Max: 56
The comments of the game for your reference:
There are many types of missions that can be chosen from the America’s map.
Street racing, high-speed collision, breakaway from police, sky jumps, zigzagging, etc… make the game quite dynamic.
Now, when it comes to multi-player matches, the performance has exceeded expectations. Perhaps, it is the killer Ethernet that’s working the magic. Thus, this game is highly recommended if you have the right rig.
The downside is that the display intricacy is not as refined as GTA V and in addition, the game FPS is limited at 60 FPS. However, the overall gaming flow and performance is better than good.
The user's comment for using MSI Gaming 5 motherboard and 960 graphics card:
(The following commends are translated from user’s article, does not represent the viewpoint of MSI) ^^
Recently, MSI GTX 960 just launched so the initial price tag is still adjustable.
According to the current product line, it seems like this GPU is going to replace 750Ti. So once all the stocks (750Ti) at the store empties, we are most likely to see a price drop on GTX960.
Once the price hits the sweet spot, it’s time to try out GTX960 SLI’s performance.
The CP value on MSI GTX960 and GAMING 5 MB is pretty high. But the XSplit software that comes with the product is a bit annoying since the authentication steps are divided into 2 parts to go through for using it.
    Enough said, anyways, GAME ON!

NVIDIA 960 card  + GAMING 5 motherboard = best bundle for budget gaming!
it would be nice to see more testing of hardware-demanding games!

  • Success story: NVIDIA 8600M GT graphics card defect repaired at no cost

This is the story of Apple servicing my MacBook Pro with the NVIDIA graphics card defect.
I had the NVIDIA 8600M GT graphics card defect in my 2 year old MacBook Pro. The symptoms were pinkish images, scrambled and chopped images, and finally leading to no video, all within a matter of 3 days. I called AppleCare using the old number I remembered from my 100mhz Mac days: 1-800-SOS-APPLE. I was greeted by a real person within 3 minutes. She explained that my 90-day complimentary phone service had expired some 600 days ago.
After I mentioned the specific Apple Knowledge base article that described the defect (TS2377), and that it was covered up to three years out of warranty, she transferred me to a MacBook Pro specialist. Sheri ran me through several standard resets and reboots. She then suggested that it be taken into an Apple store for a genius to look at. When I explained that the nearest Apple Store was an hour away, she arranged for a mail-in service.
After the call had ended, I received a simple email with her phone number so that I could contact her if I needed to. Another automated email contained my repair case number and a link to check the status online. The online status center is very easy to use. It displayed three steps: Sending the empty box, service in progress and return. FedEx tracking numbers were included with working links.
The next day an empty box arrived, completely with graphical IKEA like packaging instructions and form fitting foam for my MacBook Pro. I knew when the FedEx truck came around, so I had my computer ready by my side. As soon as FedEx showed up, I explained that the empty box was for the computer and Marcos helped me apply the pre-paid return label and taped the box expertly with tape from his truck. I also placed in the box a copy of the Apple Knoweldge base article and pictures I had taken of the issue.
Apple had included a small stack of super adhesive pre-cut tape square, but Macros was already taping it before I figured out what they were. The return label was also pre-paid with overnight service.
The next day I logged into the online support status at Apple.com and checked my status. The tracking number showed it had arrived in Houston, and the three steps had been updated to "Repairs completed" and "Return in progress."
The return FedEx tracking number was displayed later in the evening, and it showed that it was guaranteed to arrive by 10:30AM the next day. Speedy service! Sure enough, the next day I had my computer back in my hands, all data perfect and intact. I was very worried since I was not able to make a back up before sending it in, and Apple does not guarantee data safety. Apple had replaced the logic board, valued at $700 on iFixit (http://www.ifixit.com/MacBook-Parts/MacBook-Pro-15-Inch-Core-2-Duo-2-2-GHz-Logic -Board/IF185-073).
The funny thing is, for the past 5 years, I have always cloned my drive or used time machine, but for the past two months I had cleared the backups to make up extra room on my externals. You really never know when disaster will strike!
    Learned:
    - Apple Customer Care is top notch, speedy and their status site is very easy to use
    - FedEx service was very helpful
    - If you have a NVIDIA graphics card, Mac or PC, check if your model is affected. Just today Sony announced that NVIDIA cards with defects will now be covered for 4 years out of warranty. (http://news.cnet.com/8301-13924_3-10307592-64.html)
    - Back up your stuff NOW. Use a flash drive or email files to yourself for a cheap fix.

    ha
got the same problem with my mbp (dec 2007)
also no video within 5 hours .... also no external video.
lucky i had screen sharing on so i could check the system profiler via an other mac.
It couldn't find the 6800M GT anymore...
did another backup and went to the local apple store
took a print out of Apple Knowledge base article that described the defect (TS2377)
and they replaced the logicboard+gpu for free within 10 days ...
everything is ok now except for my maxmsp copy which thinks it runs on an other machine and complains about a missing licence ....

  • NVidia GT 610 Graphics Card - Code 12

I have installed my new NVidia GT 610 Graphics Card and installed the driver perfectly (BIOS is also up to date) but when I check the device manager (via the built in Integrated Graphics) it says:
This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system. (Code 12)
I tried disabling the Integrated Graphics and then restarting the system with the GT 610. I can hear the computer reach my log-in screen but I have no picture apart from a black screen and a solid white '-' in the top left corner. I tried to take it a step further by disabling the intergrated graphics directly from the BIOS but when I do that, when the pc starts up I get stuck on the Blue into screen that says "press escape for startup menu" which doesn't work at all, forcing me to turn if off.
I feel like I am so close to getting my new card to work but I can't figure out what to do from here. I have tried looking for a similar experience using the search function and one dude said he got his to work by disabling "many" "unnecessary" hardware things, but I am hesitant to do that without proper knowledge...
Please help! I will keep a close eye on this thread in the coming hours (currently 8:54pm here).
Edit: I have posted the exact same question on the GeForce forums.
Edit: Troubleshooting tells me that "Hardware changes might not have been detected".

Actually you may find that you have more success with an AMD\ATI Radeon video card.
I have experienced that with some motherboards, specifically Pegatron motherboards.
The problem is that you are delving into the DIY gaming PC realm and  trying to do it with a prebuilt desktop PC.
Upgrading a prebuilt PC does not always result in a success story. Don't even consider trying to install cutting edge gaming memory modules. That will be a definite disappointment for you.
You may get lucky with an AMD Radeon HD video card.
But...You might just run into the same frustrating scenario you are facing today. I wish I had better news to give you.

  • MSI mobos and ATI graphics card incompability!

I don´t know how well known this problem is but I´ve seen it on this forum and when googling the internet you can find it!
The issue is that I can´t get my HD5450(Sapphire) to work on my MS-7267 (945GCM5-F V2) mobo! The screen stays blank but the PC boots up and loads Windows.
The HD5450 works fine on other mobos with different PSU´s ranging from 350 - 600 watts, but when trying different PSU´s on the 945GCM5-F V2 it doesn´t seem to help. I´ve also tried different bios settings, I´ve cleared CMOS, I´ve tried both dvi and vga outputs, I´ve disconnected as much as possible from the mobo except from the graphics card and the PSU, but nothing seems to help!
    Any ideas , someone?
    Tekrar!

    Thanks for all replies!
I had this question on the AMD forum (AMD Game » AMD Technology » Radeon Graphics » MSI mobos and ATI graphics card incompability!) and here are some of the replies:
"Well, its a known issue that older chipsets, like even AMD 580X chipset, doesn't work with 5k/6k series cards without a bios update from the manufacturer of the board.
If its not working / posting / no video ect... You need to bug MSI to update the bios on the board to support the newer 5k/6k video cards. It may or may not happen. Several manufacturers have like Asus, and Gigabyte."
"Same problem. 5450, MSI MS-7267 (945GCM5-F V2). Done the same plus updated msi mainboard bios using msi live update 5 etc. Waiting for reply from makers of graphics card and mainboard.
I should add from what I've read in other threads and forums it seems to be an old mainboard problem not just related to the MSI 945GCM5-F V2. Some other manufacturers of mainboards have sent customers bios upgrades to get their cards working.
As for your pci express version question. Well these problems seem to emerge when people have plugged these pci express version 2.1 cards into their pci express 1st generation slots. What exactly the problem is here? Leave that for manufacturers/experts to answer."
"Tek , its hit or miss on the board + chipset combination on if the card will work or not. Sometimes they will work in old boards, Sometimes they will not w/o manufacturerer support.
Its completely random from what I've seen on the forums at the times they were released , when people with old boards were asking why it wasn't working. And what they did to solve it. Most all of them emailed the manufacturer. Some of those said manufactureres provided beta bios back to the customers, some said your out of luck."
Its true, this MSI MS-7267 (945GCM5-F V2) isn´t a new mobo, but when I get the 5450 to work without problem with an even older fujitsu mobo (last bios update long time ago) and a 350 watts PSU I think something´s wrong.
So, a bios upgrade would probably fix it if the manufacturer (in this case MSI) just wanted to!

  • Can i install nVidia PCI express graphics card on a ATI X200 motherboard

Is ATI X200 motherboard compatible with nVidia PCI Xpress graphics card(Gforce 6series card)?
    My system configuration
    AMD Athlon 64 3200+
ATI XPRESS 200 RS482M2 Series  Motherboard
    512 MB DDR RAM

It is indeed my friend, I have put an NVidea G-Force 6600 PCI-E in a MSI RS482M-IL Motherboard (using the ATI Chipset) and it works a dream  , not a problem.  The only advantage of using an ATI card is that the catalyst drivers on the CD for the motherboard works with the card!

Hello, I have a Mac computer with NVIDIA 750M dedicated graphics card and monitor EIZO but the problem was there when I was working with Windows and Acer monitor. When I open a file from Camera Raw in PS this is smaller than the screen so I double-click with the tool "hand" to fit on the screen, but the picture loses sharpness and becomes blurry. If you magnify the image even only slightly with the tool "zoom" the picture comes back clear. In Camera Raw instead is always sharp. I solve the problem by turning off the graphics card in PS but often use plugin that need the graphics card otherwise the processing time is much longer. I ask for help.
    Thanks.

  • MSI GS70 GTX 765 graphics card issue

I've been using the laptop for close to 8 months and had no problems with it until I felt the need to plug it to an external monitor via a mini dp to DVi cable. It worked perfectly for a few days. I watched a few seasons of house of cards on it and one day, all of a sudden the external monitor is blank and from here on it doesnt work when connected to an external monitor. i tried the hdmi port instead, i tried the other mini DP port. I also tried a lot of different things like updating the nvidia grpahics, updating the intel graphics, I uninstalled and reinstalled all the drivers, finally after doing all of this and getting no results, i restored the laptop to its factory settings, thinking that this must be a problem that windows 8.1 caused. Even after getting it back to windows 8, its still the same. in the device manager, under display adapter, right next to the nvidia geforce gtx 765m, there's a hazard sign. So that means it detects the graphics card, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working. I tried installing a varied bunch of nvidia drivers too, if that means anything . Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I've posted results I got from GPU-Z. The clock rates of the GPU seem to be at zero. I'm glad that it is getting detected, but there's still the hazard sign in the device manager. What gives? :/

    1. Make sure the mini-DP to DVI cable is not damaged first. Borrow another laptop or machine to try the cable to make sure it's okay.
    2. Remove all NVIDIA drivers and install the NVIDIA driver from here: http://www.msi.com/support/nb/GS70-STEALTH.html#down-driver
Select your OS to download. Remember to check "Perform a clean installation" while running NVIDIA driver installer.
    3. Press Fn+F2 to manually switch on the video output (MSI shortcut key function).
    4. Press Windows+P to manually switch on the video output (Windows function).
    5. If none of the above worked, update your BIOS & EC & remove all power sources of the laptop & poke the reset hole on the right side. Then power on again.
    6. Try step 3 & 4 again.
    4. If still none of the above worked, I'm afraid you may need to send it to local authorized service point to find & fix the problem.

Which of the cards i posted above will work ? (The PNY ?)
I am currently using an 6600 LE, no problems with the M/B, but it is not enough for 1920x1080...

  • When will be the NVIDIA GeForce 620M graphic card be compatible with any of Adobe Premiere series?

Recently I adquired the GeForce 620M graphic card, trying to resolve a problem with my Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 software (Premiere suddenly stopped working, and the only problem was the graphic card, the NVIDIA GeForce 210 series I used to have).
In order to fix that, I buyed the 620 series, but in the Compatibilities page of Adobe (http://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/products/premiere/cs6/pdfs/compatibiltiy-list-pr emiere-pro-cs6-only-hw-compatibility.pdf), in any of the Premiere series, CS4, CS5, CS5.5, CS6..., appears the 620M graphic card, so my cuestion is if the card is too recent to admit Premiere Pro.
    Regards.

Ask in the Premiere forum. On a more general level, though, CS4 will never be officailly supported, only current versions, if at all.

Hi, I am having trouble installing the latest version of Nvidia's graphics card drivers for my gx 700's 8600M GT, seen as though I am currently running on some drivers from 2007, when I come to try and install the driver it says it cannot detect any hard-ware that is compatible with the software even though that is the one that was recommended to me by Nvidia! The version I am trying to install is version 186.81 the version I currently have has a date of 01/11/2007 and is version 7.15.11.5680

Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT w/ 512 MB RAM
    2 GB System RAM
Windows Vista 32 bit with SP2
    Any help would be appreciated

MSI doesn't update drivers unless there is a reason to do so.
Just because nVidia releases a new driver package doesn't mean the drivers are updated at all.
What I don't get, if you need the latest, then it's obvious you need it for gaming, but then you would have upgraded to Windows7 as that's better for gaming.
Or you are doing an upgrade for no reason, but such is silly.
For these onboard-chips, nVidia decided NOT to release generic drivers.
Why? Is a mystery to all of use, but nVidia does a lot of strange stuff the last couple of years.
