Do I need a converter to use IPAD in costa rica?

I want to bring my IPAD 2 to Costa Rica.  The travel information says that Costa Rica has the same power specs as the US.  I just wanted to see if anyone knew if that was true or if there were power issues in using the IPAD in that country.

Thanks.  One less thing to worry about.

    Although iTune terms says that all sales are final. You can try explaining to get a refund.

  • HT4972 I cant up date my iphone 4 because we cant use itunes in Costa Rica

    I cant up date my iphone 4 because we dont have access to itunes in Costa Rica I need a link

    As has been said a couple of times now, you need to update it through iTunes on your computer. The procedure is completely documented, step by step, in both article you apparently read before you came here, "HT4972: iOS 4: Updating your device to iOS 5 or later" and in the article I linked to above in the section headed "Update your device using iTunes".
    If your computer does not recognize your iPhone, tell us what operating system and version of iTunes are running on the system and we can probably provide further advice.
    Regardss.

  • Using IPad 3 in turkey

    What do I need to do to use IPad 3 in Turkey?

    The power plug for the iPad is designed to work with 110 to 240V - so all you would potentially need is a plug adapter, you won't need a convertor.

  • Do i need to buy anything besides a power converter to use my US ipad in europe?

    I am traveling abroad to Europe and bringing my iPad. They told us somethings would work like our cell phone chargers and computer chargers while others like blowdryers usually blow the socket. Do I need to buy some kind of special converter for my iPad or can I just get a regular power converter?

    The power supply for the iPad is auto-ranging and should adapt to different voltages in other countries. See the Apple Store for their travel adapter kit with different plugs, etc.

    Do I need a converter in addition to an adapter to charge my phone and ipad mini in France?

    I used my iPod touch power plug and cord in France with no problem.  I did need an adapter to allow me to plug our 2-blade plug into their round-post outlets.  There are no electronics involved in that, just metal pieces.  You can pick those up cheaply online (I just borrowed one at my hotel).  (PS - I live in the US).

  • I will be traveling to Rome and Paris.  I'm concerned about frying my IPad when charging the battery.  Will I need a converter/adapter to charge the battery or do I just need an adapter.

    what RBRY says. Look at the fine print on your power brick. It says 100v-240v. This means it can handle world wattage.....both the us 110 and the UK/and other places 220. Anything that displays that range works anywhere in the world with the right plug adapter.
    You can get plug adapters at walgreens, walmart, target, kmart, best buy, office max, office depot.....almost any major retailer. Look in the travel/luggage area.
    Do some googling and find out what Italian plugs look like or you can simply find a kit that is a 'world wide' kit.

  • Do I need a 240 to 120v power converter for my iPad and iPhone when I am in Germany?

    On a Viking River Cruise boat do I need a 240v to 120v power converter for my iPad and iPhone chargers?

    All Apple chargers work from 100-240VAC, 50-60Hz power. All you will need is a plug adapter for the country you are in.
    BTW - You can use your iPad charger to charge your iPhone, and it will charge the iPhone faster.

    There's also jimi, at http://java.sun.com/products/jimi/
    You can do something like:
    image = new BufferedImage (width, height, BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB);
    // create your image
    String path = "/path/image.jpg";
    Jimi.putImage(image, path);
    [\code]

    OK, it now sort of works. A couple of problems here:
    After updating IOS, Safari iCloud was "automatically" switched off
    Switching it on had no effect
    resetting my iPad automatically switched off safari iCloud again
    after switching it back on, it said "turning off safari data"
    switched it off and on again, now it said : "turning on safari data" and the sync worked
    On IOS 7 no problems
    The bookmarks not being displayed was because after pressing the book icon, it defaulted to showing the history and I had to press "Back" to get to the other options

    I've just installed CS6 creative suite mainly for photoshop CS6. It comes with camera raw 7.0.something, but need something newer to use my canon 6d. When I download camera raw 8.5 and install the raw converter doesnt work anymore, wont even open or isnt available anymore in the plugin list. Tried to reinstall everything for a few times, but nothing helps.

    When I search for updates the raw converter doesnt get update automaticly. Frustrating, is costing me the whole morning.

  • I have an I pad2, an iMac desktop and an I phone 5, how do I get them all to be bale to face time with each other, do I need different email addresses, use the phone number, or the sim number in the iPad ? Ay help gratefully received !!

    I have an I pad2, an iMac desktop(2012) and an I phone 5, how do I get them all to be able to face time with each other, do I need different email addresses, use the phone number, or the sim number in the iPad ? Any help gratefully received !!

    Graham,
    For the iPad, iMac you need to create verifyible e-mail addresses created with one of the providers such as Yahoo, Gmail,etc.  For the iphone you should use it's phone number, but an e-mail could be used for it too.  If you want to associate these e-mail addresses with a single ID, I'm including a link to give you info about how you can do that. Read it carefully, as it can be a bit confusing.

  • Do I need a power converter to use my USA purchased MacBook Pro 3,1 in Italy?

    Do I need a power converter to use my MacBook Pro 3,1 in Italy?  I've had it for a few years, purchased and used in USA.

    The block auto-switches to Europe power.  You just need an adapter for the final plug-end appropriate for Italy.

  • Do I need a computer to use my ipad for the very first time?

    I would like to know if I buy an iPad, shall I need to have a computer to start it for the very first time?
    I mean do I need to do plug in or can I start without  plug in?

    The new iPad does not need to be activated using iTunes. You will need a WiFi connection to activate it, but not a computer.
    If you are buying an iPad2, if it does not already have iOS 5 on it, then you would need a computer running the latest version of iTunes,
