Do I need to create an account??

Hello, may sound strange but when I go to iChat, preferences, add account i get the 'account setup' dialog box. I enter my MobileMe credentials but there is a 'Get an iChat account...' push button displayed. Is this just a standard button or do I need to create an ichat account?? I just clicked 'Done' but am not sure if that is right.

You must create the account using an Apple device, a Mac (Lion or greater) or an IOS device (IOS5 or greater). Having done that you will be able to sign in from your Windows machine.
FYI, iCal is an application that can display calendars from iCloud (and others) it is not a calendar itself, merely a calendar client. In Windows Outlook is the calendar client.

Need to create temp account if you don't use Migration Assistant first?

I don't have access to my old iMac right now, so I've gone ahead and created a main account on my new one. When I'm ready to bring over stuff from my old computer, do I need to create a temporary account first on my new iMac? I've heard that unless I do that, Migration Assistant won't bring over the info into my main account but rather will create an entirely separate account with all the old info.

I have never used Migration Assistant with an Erase and Install, as I have never had 2 computers running at the same time. I always migrate things manually one at a time from my backup external hard drive using the "Import" and "Export" functions under "File". I don't know about the network settings--I just generally set them up anew with the Network Assistant. I don't know about a .Mac account since I don't have one, but I imagine you could do something similar. I like to just start off with only the the address book and Safari Bookmarks and be sure everything is working properly before importing other files, and then I just bring those in one at a time. If you have a good backup of everything, you should be able to import anything you want after an Erase and Install. But it is essential to have a good and complete backup of everything important to you.

generally at company code level we contain some fields and at chart of acct level we contain some fields so we need to create at two places. so,instead of creating at two places we create at centrally where we have all the fields of company code level and chart of acct level

We have multiple ipod owners in our family. We keep out music together and up until now we have had one account which we used to purchase music. Now a couple of family members have received gift cards and we would like to make sure they get to use their own cards and the cards don't get spent by others.
So do we have to create a 2nd account or separate accounts for every family member or is there a way to switch back to a credit card before using up a gift card?

Existing apps and content would not be automatically downloaded. You'd have to download apps and music manually, or sync them from a computer. New purchases would be automatically downloaded if you set the iPad to do that. Otherwise, again, you'd have to manually download or sync from iTunes.

There are several thing I would like to point out
1. Did you keep both the public classes in the same file(AccountTest.java)? Each java file can contain only one public class. Either move class Account to its own file (Account.java) or remove the public modifier (i.e., make it friend)
2. Class Account is not defined properly. What is that hanging if statement doing there?
3. There is a call to method getBalance() of the Account class. Where have you defined it?

Your research and understanding is correct. If you want to use DPS to target anything other than an iPad you need Professional or Enterprise edition.

Do not create a new account. Go to your account in itunes and change whatever you like. Your account name is in the upper right corner of itunes. Click the drop down arrow and select account.

You don't need to create an account. Your use your Apple ID to log into Facetime.

I need to create iCloud accounts for my kids. 2 of them to be exact so that we can transfer all their games on our iPad to iCloud accounts and free up space. So far all I figured out was that I needed them to have their own apple Ida's, which they now do. I can't figure out how to get access to creat the iCloud accounts for them.

An iOS device is designed to be used by one user only - unlike a computer where multiple accounts can be set up. The device can only have one icloud account defined at a time. Are you trying to use one device with multiple users? Otherwise I'm not understanding your question.
