Just to expand on what Bill said. Yes your carrier would expedite the warranty for the manufacturer. however, if you buy it from a third party source (ebay, craigslist, etc) they may not be able to. Just to set that expectation.
But the only way to know for sure it to call your carrier directly as Bill had mentioned.

How to register Lenovo B570 for warranty in the UK?

Having bought a new B570 just before this new year (28th Dec 2011), I am still finding it impossible to register this laptop.
After reading a message from someone that they had a crack appear on their B570's screen, I am very concerned - that I am yet unable to register my laptop properly.
Apparantly there is a base warranty which starts from the manufacturing date for one year but we all are supposed to register and get this changed to last till one year from the date of our actual purchase. But when I try to register on-line I get transfereed between various lenovo sites and finally the registration fails.
Apparently my Lenovo B570 is called as Ideapad in the Singapore region and I get directed to that website - but I am in the UK and in the on-line registration form, I don't see any European nor USA - on the UK specific site there is no form where I can register for this 'my own warranty' rather than the 'base warranty' - in my case it turns out my laptop was manufactured a few months ago and the base warranty would not last for one full year after my purchase - this is not fair.
I have been sending emails and so on - but not getting any positive response at all.
How do I register for proper warranty please?

The B570 , did not list UK and therefore not eligible for International Warranty.

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was designed for you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchased content.

For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software.
Basically what the above is saying is you should transfer your itunes library from your other computer, not try to do it from the iPoad.

Reformatting an iPod for Windows with a Mac

I have a 4G iPod that I'd like to use as a portable HD. My school only has Windows machines, so it obviously needs to be Windows formatted. Unfortunately (heh) I only have access to Macs at home, and cannot use the school's PCs for this. Is there any way I can use my Mac to format my iPod for Windows?

No.
You either need to reformat the iPod for Windows (using a Windows computer) as you previously stated or use some 3rd party software (which is not free) like MacDrive or XPlay2 that allow Mac formatted iPods to be used on the Windows platform.
Neither of these options would appear suitable given your circumstances.

You may need to format the iPod for use with Windows.
Try this instead of using the supplied installation CD.
Download the iPod Updater, install this to your computer, restart the computer, run the Updater, then connect your iPod when prompted (not before), then follow the set up procedure.
If this is what you are having problems with, then post back with what happens and any error messages you see.

Validate purchase for warranty

Hey guys. I bought my macbook pro early this year. It is a late 2013 w retina display. Guess what, I have yet to register my mbp for warranty. I've heard that it is okay to not register, just need to visit https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do and check. So, I did visit the website. When I inserted my serial number in, it says that apple is unable to provide info about my service coverage. They states that i need to sign in my apple id and provide my product's date of purchase. I pressed continue and sign in. But the problem is it goes back to the very first page where i need to insert my serial number. I did the whole process again. And again, i press continue to validate my purchase date, it goes back to the first page. Can somebody help me please? My laptop is facing a few difficulties and i need send it for repair.

Well, Apple's policy is that the warranty is automatically started when the product is shipped to the retailer; when you buy it, the warranty is "restarted" so to speak - if you buy it at an Apple store, that process is automatic. If you buy it at a reseller, you have to do it. Since your warranty has almost expired, I'd suggest you take it to your nearest Genius Bar along with your receipt - they can initiate the troubleshooting and authenticate it your purchase all at the same time.

Need help registering iPod Nano (3rd Gen) into iTunes

Got the 3rd Gen iPod nano for Christmas, but I'm having difficulty setting it up.
The manual says I need to wait for something known as a "Setup Assist" to come up. Nothing ever did.
Also, in iTunes, it tells me (when I click on the iPod icon under "devices") that I still need to register the product. It takes me to the terms and conditions sheet, and as is typical, tells me to "agree to terms" and then... I click "save." it asks me to save an rtf file onto my computer. I do so, but nothing ever happens. And my iPod still won't work.
Am I saving it somewhere wrong? (I've saved it in My Documents, as well as the iPod and iTunes folders in My Programs)

Okay! I found out what to do.
What you're going to have to do is go into the Control Panel on your computer.
Go into "Appearance and themes." You're going to have to change the screen resolution. 1280x600 or so should do the trick.
Go back into iTunes and you should see the "continue" button on the far right. (Very scrunched up and annoying, I know. But it works!)

Upgrading RAM and your HD will give you some performance gains, but depending on what you are doing, it may not be enough. Your best friend will always be processor speed. This has a direct relation to how many cores and the speed of the RAM.
However, if you are unable to spring for a new computer, then the options of running more RAM and a biggger, faster HD should ruduce some bottle necks.

You can not login into iTunes or the App Store using VPP credentials. You must purchase all apps/book/etc. from the VPP website. Then you can redeem the codes thru itunes/app store or import the codes thru apple configurator. (It will not affect any of the apps you already have but the id can only be used for VPP.)

Changing Facetime settings on an iPod will have no affect on cellular settings on an iPhone. Something else is going on there. If she did not change any settings on the phone, then nothing she did could affect your celluar 3G.

If it is still under warranty you can call the 800 number to apple and enter the serial number and it will tell you if it is under warranty or not if not its like $30 basically for them to help or something like that it said today when i called...
Or take it to a genius bar if you have one near?
