if you have only one OS on your pc. the answer is NO. but you may encounter some problem there. so to avert that, you can do a complete uninstall for the previous version of firefox 3.6.x

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

  • Do I need to uninstall my trial version of CS6 and install using disk to get After Effects?

Do I need to uninstall my trial version of CS6 and install using disk to get After Effects?

No, the trial version is identical to the purchased version in every aspect other than the time limitation. Besides, the boxed version will probably be LR 4.0 and then need to be updated. To cancel the time limit simply supply the registration key from the back of the box in Help/Registration.

  • Do I need to uninstall my current version CS5 before I upgrade from the cloud?

and do I need to deauthorise CS5?

No. You can keep CS5 around, if you so desire. If you feel you won't need it, feel free to deactivate and uninstall it before getting CS6.

  • Must I uninstall my current version of CS6 before installing Creative Cloud PS app?

Also, Must I uninstall Lightroom 4 before installing CC Lightroom?

You can keep CS6, and it is a good idea to do so.  You might have plugins, and/or twain drivers etc. that initially prove problematic on CC.  I am not so sure about Lightroom, (which is Version 5 and not CC) but I would think that the same thing applies and you can keep both versions.

  • I have an academic version of Final Cut Studio on my laptop and recently purchased the most recent Full version of Final Cut Studio. Do I need to uninstall the academic version before installing the new version?

I have an academic version of Final Cut Studio on my laptop and recently purchased the most recent Full version of Final Cut Studio. Do I need to uninstall the academic version before installing the new version? I ask because this is not an upgrade, but a completely new version.

I'm with Jim on this.  It always seems to work out better if you do not install over another version.  You can use this app (freeware - thanks to Jon Chappel) to completely remove ALL Final Cut Studio apps and components: http://www.digitalrebellion.com/fcsremover/
Once that's done, install your newly purchased version.

Contact Microsoft and ask them.  These forums are for troubleshooting technical issues with Apple products and not related to Office or your question in any way.

  • Do I need to uninstall the old version 5.7

After the version 6 is installed do I need to uninstall the old version 5.7. After the install I imported a job's photos and realized they had imported to the 5.7 install.

    Hi Pete,
Lightroom 5 & 6/CC both are individual applications and can be installed simultaneously, unless you don't need them.
So, in short the answer is Yes you can uninstall the old version in case you don't need it.
    Cheers!

  • I want to uninstall my latest version of Firefox NOT my new printer which has now been disabled by Firefox.

My new printer is HP Photosmart Series 110. AFTER I downloaded Firefox, Firefox says my printer is incompatible with my newly downloaded Firefox. I want to return to my previous Firefox level and uninstall the new download. Thanks!

It appears the site and its full features may not be open to the general unregistered public. I would suggest as a first step you contact them and ask
    * what exactly is the problem ?
    * which versions of firefox are supported ?
    * do they expect compatibility with firefox 8 and later versions ?
    **if so when ?
Note you may report problems using firefox's [http://input.mozilla.com/en-US/feedback feedback], but I am not sure that will do anything more than log your concerns. (You may even need to be using the current version of firefox to use that)
If you post back with further info, and the site's answers other suggestions may be forthcoming.

  • When I try to update Firefox it repeatedly says Firefox must be closed to proceed with install. I even get the same message when I try to uninstall the existing version of firefox. How do I close Firefox???

When I try to update Firefox it repeatedly says Firefox must be closed to proceed with install even tho Firefox is closed. I get the same message when I try to uninstall the existing version of Firefox. How do I close Firefox??? The same thing happens when I try to update other programs. When a program is off what else do I have to do to turn it off??

If you get an error message that you do not have sufficient permissions or have other problems with updating to update then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

    * Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
    * Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
    * Install the new version that you have downloaded

  • My current version of Firefox (4.0.1) will not update. How can i fix it?

    Hi,
My current version of firefox (4.0.1) won't update. When the update-window pops up i klick on "Update firefox" but it just keeps on loading with the blue and white stripes.
This has happend before and what I have done then is I have just installed all of firefox again and deleted the old version, but i'd rather see that it just worked. The same thing happens with Thunderbird sometimes.
This problem has also uccurred with earlier versions of firefox.
    I have a MacBook.
So now i wonder if there is any way I can fix it so that the updating will work.
