DO NOT DISTURB was in effect. I couldn't get wi-fi connection until I turned DND off. Is that a bug or to be expected?
I just started using DO NOT DISTURB at night but needed to send out an email. Was surprised that wi-fi had shut off. Couldn't re-connect until I turned DND off. Then wi-fi connected immediately. I hope this was just a temporary glitch.
Resolution
If you encounter this issue, try the following steps and attempt to enable Wi-Fi or Bluetooth after each one.
Verify that Airplane Mode is turned off.
Update your iOS device to the latest version of iOS.
Reset Network Settings. To do this, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Restore your iOS device in iTunes.
If you are still unable to turn Wi-Fi or Bluetooth on or off after attempting these steps, contact Apple or your wireless carrier for additional assistance.

My laptop turns on, reaches the desktop and then suddenly fades to black as if it was put to sleep but never comes back to life until I turn it off and on again. What do you think is the problem and how can I fix it?
If your phone got wet, try this first:

If this does not help, you'll have to get it serviced:

I have an iPod Nano 3rd Generation (2007), and When I plug the USB in and all that, the Apple logo appears then goes to menu quickly, then to a "Connected" screen, and it shows up in iTunes for about 5 seocnds before I get this error:
"The disk was not ejected properly. If possible, always eject a disk before unplugging it or turning it off."
.....I have no idea what to do, so help! pleasehave you tried using the Restore option in iTunes to reset the entire iPod?

Facetime will not activate on my iphone 5. Screen says "waiting to activate". Tried turning it off then on to no avail. I'm on wifi.
That was the first thing I tried and all that happened was it took a picture of the screen (I saw that in my photos folder when the phone finally came back to life).
I tried again with syncing it in itunes and it took a while but eventually it kinda reset itself and I did have to redo the set up again but it's working fine now.
And surprisinly none of my data/pictures was lost which was odd as I heard that doing the restore would delete it all.
Thankfully it's sorted out now. Was really worried for a second that something was seriously wrong. I've only had this phone for 3 months so it would have been awful having to pay for a replacement. -
This might sound stupid, but once when I was about to quit Firefox, I got the warning prompt if I wanted to close multiple tabs.. As I was going to click save and quit I accidentally pressed the "save these settings". Now I jsut wonder, how do I turn it off, so that Fireox sends the prompt whenever I try to close multiple tabs? I'm running 3.6.6 with OS X Snow Leopard.
You can reset the ''warn'' prefs on the '''about:config''' page via the right-click context menu.
browser.tabs.warnOnClose , see http://kb.mozillazine.org/About%3Aconfig_entries
browser.warnOnQuit , see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnQuit
browser.warnOnRestart , see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnRestart
To open the ''about:config'' page, type '''about:config''' in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
In Firefox 3 you do not get the "Save & Quit" pop-up dialog if you choose Firefox > Preferences > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time".
To get the "Save & Quit" pop-up dialog you have to select one of the other choices (Show my home page,Show a blank page). -

I'm guessing you don't have Apple Care on it. -
Load remote images in html mail setting does not get saved. I have to turn it off every time I log in. Is this a bug?
Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off. -
I had trouble upgrading my iPad2 toiOS 5.1.I have had it for about 1 year. I had never upgraded it. I tried a few times but I kept getting a message that I would loose everything on my iPad if I did. I bit the bullet andfigured that I would restore it from the back up on my laptop. Some of the backup files were corrupted. I was unable to retore my exchange email or my notes from the noted app.
Today, my iPad shut off for no reason and I couldn't get it to turn on again, even though the battery was 70% charged. I had to press the on button and home button to get it to come back on.I'm not sure what problem you are experiancing but it would be well worth contacting apple.
If you have had it for less than one year it should be covered under warrenty

Hi
I posted this more as an FYI. I'm using Firefox 31 on two PCs. and had a phishing incident today. I read your article on Firefox's ant-phishing / anti-malware protection, and using the two test pages you provided I found the phishing test page wasn't blocked. I followed your instructions and successfully activated it. For whatever reason on my two PCs (one is Windows 8.1 Update 1 and the other an ancient XP machine) only the anti-malware was running. Both computers were updated to version 31 in the last few days. I don't know if the failure to have anti-phishing turned on by default is a bug in this version, or was a setting copied from an earlier version of Firefox. I had never changed those security settings myself on any version of Firefox. It's more likely this setting was carried over from an earlier version of Firefox. Some people disable one type of protection in favor of the other. Or disable the malware & phishing protection when troubleshooting other issues. Like to reach sites that Google says are bad but really are false positives.
You may have forgotten fooling with that setting or unchecked it by accident. For example, go back to the Security section in the Options. Move your mouse all the way over to the right underneath the "Exceptions" button and click your mouse along that area for each setting. You see how easily they could be changed by a misclick?
But since you say this happened on 2 computers, I'll ask a few people to test this out and see what happens.
You also said you had a anti-phishing incident? Could you elaborate a little more on that. I'm guessing you were in your email and opened a email you thought to be legitimate?
You'd only have been safe in that case if Google's database had been updated with info to block that exact phishing attack. Did you try revisiting the actual phishing attack after activating the protection? I'm curious to know if it was blocked. -
My apple bluetooth keyboard has stopped working. The top row of keys works and the iPad sees the bluetooth keyboard (the bluetooth icon is active) but the other keys do not work. For the past coupld of days I have carried my keyboard in my computerbag without turning it off and I am thinking I have done something to make the letter keys to stop working. Two days in a row I did turn on the music as I carried the computer bag into work so I know that some keys were being activated.
*UPDATE*
I have been able to use the Zoom function to zoom in and the keys on the top row no longer are in the non-responsive strip of area. -
Was updating ios and itunes wont detect my phone and i cant turn it off or nothing
not sure what ios i was using
"i can't turn it off or nothing" - pretty vague, eh? What EXACTLY do you see on the phone. Did you try to reset? (Press both home and on/off buttons for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.)

I have photos in albums that are stored on my iphone. My laptop that I had everything backed up on was stolen. I would like to be able to re-sync my iphone with my new laptop (Windows 8) without losing the photos that are in my albums. I'd prefer not to have to individually email them all to myself and I have everything off the camera roll already. I would appreciate any and all help. Thanks.
Also, ALL of the photos were taken by my iphone.

Ordered a movie to rent. Was watching it then it stopped and had the timer thing going on forever. Stopped watching it and went to bed. Tried to watch it again the next day.It Said for us to go to settings, then iTunes Store, then ck for rentals. Still, the timer kept working and could not continue to watch our silly movie. This has happened to us many times. VERYYYYYYYYYYYYY annoying. I am beginning to HATE Apple TV. Please advise!
If it's stopping during the movie that could be network related. As for locating the rental, try logging out of your account and signing back in again.

Shared Variable Engine clock is consistently inconsistent
