Docking Station T430, Graphic interfaces from notebook and docking station usable at once?

Dear community,
I have a Thinkpad T430 and I want to use two external monitors.
The Thinkpad T430 has just one mini Displayport and I do not want to use the VGA port.
So I thought about buying a docking station.
But there are several ones.
I just need an additional (Miini)Display or DVI port.
The question is, if I buy a docking station
which provides an addition Mini Display Port or an additional DVI port am I able to use the one from the docking station and the notebook's integrated mini display port?

Since installing mavericks I have the problem that I cannot drop files from mail or the dock (downloads) to finder or the desktop. I can drag them and move them around but cannot release them to finder. Drag and drop from finder to finder works fine. When I reboot it works for a while and then stops again. If I make the right or left monitor my main monitor the the files drag to the approprate place. When I switch it back to the center montior being the main monitor then the issue comes up again.
Could there be an issue with which monitor is connected to which port?
It's just weird.

Problem with laptop and docking station

Hello.
We have two laptops with two docking station. Both laptops w/ docking have the same problem:
When the computer is turned off, and its still connected to the docking station, the fan in the computer start to run really fast. The fan goes on for a good while. This is making alot of noise, which can be annoying for the person using the office. When the computer is on, the fan runs at normal speed. If you disconnect the computer from the docking station, the fan stops immediately. Any ideas?

It is possible the notebook is not completing the shutdown in full when docked.
Make sure the BIOS is the most recent version.
Here is the most recent one to try should you need it.
Other than that, I am afraid I do not have much else for this. I did some research, but I didn't really find anything that was exactly like this. I found scenarios where the fan would run at full speed when docked, but this happened whether the notebook was booted or not. You can try your luck in the business support forums to see if they may have something that is a little more helpful.

Expansion base and dock stations

i love expansion base and my dock station xb3000, the speakers are great, is fantastic, i bought my last laptop because i could connect with, so i want to know if HP is going to do more expansion base,
two years ago i bought a souchsmart tx2 `1015, onlu because had expansion base
now my old presario is to slow, is getting to old...i need to buy i new one very soon, i would like one with expansion base,
so i want to know if HP is going to have expansion base in some new model of laptop notebook
my dock station is a great product
please do not stop to make a good product!

Unfortunately docking stations, like firewire ports and pcmcia slots, are disappearing from laptops other than the very highest end business models. So right now no consumer model has a traditional snap down docking station. The only models that do are the Elitebook, Probook, Zbook lines:

I have the exact same problem. I have not changed anything. This is probably a bug or something that has gone bad with Mac OS X (10.7.2). I have not found any solution for this on the web.

My Epson printer stopped working with Firefox today. It does test pages, will work on Notebook, and will work with IE. Up until today it worked with Firefox. Why can't I print anything from the internet with Firefox?

Up until today, I did everything with Firefox. Then I was on Paypal and went to print a shipping label and the printer would not work. I went to troubleshoot page and it printed a test page. I uninstalled my printer and then re-installed it. Still would not work from an internet page. I did a system restore. Still didn't work. Called Epson. They say it's a Firefox problem because it works on Notebook and test pages. I installed IE and the printer works. What happened and how can I get it back working with Firefox?

I have the same problem, I cannot print PayPal shipping label off of Firefox. I did the about.config entry and have seen that the print.print_printer does not exist at all in the list of entries. I use Vista 32. I use an Epson 545 wirelessly.

The easy way to do this is create a copy using Windows Explorer.
Open the project and go to File > Rename.
Then you have your 2013 ready made project.

I'm going to assume that since you deleted your hard drive and all its files, you had a backup, yes? If the backup has an OS (bootable clone), then you can boot into it by holding down the option key when you start up you iMac and choose the backup drive. Then use Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper to copy the files back to your iMac.

Lauching a JVM from C and providing interface to C++

I'm work on a project that launch a JVM using JNI.
I need to provide a interface to a C++ class through JNI in order to allow the launched JVM to access it. The code of this class is in the program that launch the JVM
The problem is that java does not find the given function and fails with:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: altitude
The function is present in the database (checked with "nm" against the name given by javah).
I supposed that there is some kind of addressing or kind of "namespace", but don't know how to avoid it.

From a program in a JVM call a routine which has a JNI that launches a new JVM using

Let me see if I've gotten this right! You want to remove an account from BOTH machines? Do this for your new machine first, then for the other.
Click the Apple logo on the top left of the screen, System Preferences, Users and Groups (under Systems), unlock the lock in the window if its locked (you need to know the password), select the user that you wish to remove, and click the - sign next to the + sign for Login options. A window will pop up with some options. Select Delete this user and securely, and click 'Delete user'.
After this, do an update from the App Store.
Thats all there is to it.
For the other machine repeat the process except for one thing. Before you delete the user in this case YOU, you will have to give Administrator priviledges to your son bu checking the box 'Allow user to administer this computer'.
Do NOT do anything from Finder ... if you dont know how to fix the consequences of the problems caused.
There is no need to unauthorize your iTunes account on your new machine. Do it on the old machine though.

Apple has dropped support in Mavericks (10.9) of the AirPort Express and AirPort Extreme models that were discontinued more than six years ago.
You can still administer the older AirPort models if you have a Mac running Leopard, Snow Leopard, or a PC.
