Documentation for RS_EU_CROSSREF (where-used list function module)

Hi,
I'm trying to understand how to use the "RS_EU_CROSSREF" function module.
It corresponds to the where-used list function you find in so many SAP screens.
I need to use it in a program, but I can't find any good documentation about it.
I'd like something that tells me what values I have to fill in parameters.
For example, how to search form "TEST_FORM" in all programs ? or even in a given program, I didn't get how to restrict the search to a program...

table cross does not find any function modules although I know for sure that there are function modules calling the function module.
Please post an example of how to find function modules calling a function module with RS_EU_CROSSREF.

Insert new Master Data Record for an InfoObject using a Function Module

Hi @ all,
is there any Function Module for creating a new master data record for an InfoObject? Implementing a FM for inserting a master data record into a master data table is done quickly. I think there will be problems with inconsistency implementing a FM using a simple "Insert" Statement. Isn´t it?
I know it is possible to maintain an InfoObject in RSA1 (Master data IO> right click>Maintain Master data>execute(F8)> ...) but I have another requirement for using a FM.

Material creation for All VIEW using BAPI Function modules

Dear All,
             I want to create materials for all views using BAPI F.Ms. By using BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA i have extended materials for for only specified views. now my requirement is to create Material with All views including Classfication view also. For this i found BAPI_OBJCL_CREATEFM.
         Tell me that shall i use both Fm's at time to create material.Will it work? According to my knowledge we need to create Characters first ,then we should assign this character to this class, then while creation of material we should select this class .
        so pls guide me the procedure to follow for both FM's .
Note : Pls don't suggest me LSMW OR BDC procedure.

U can use both the FM. using BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA u can create all the views and for classification view use BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE. before assigning class to material u hve to make sure that the characteristics are uploaded and is attched to the class using transaction CL03.

Where-used-list for APD-Routines (similar to rsaabap)

Hi,
I'm looking for a "where-used-list" for abap coding in APD-Routines. The table rsaabap contains BI-Transformations but not APD-Routines. Is there a similar table for APD-routines that holds the ABAP coding?

Where Used List for Master Data Entries

Hi folks,
I am looking for a FM, method, etc. that gives me a list, that shows, where a certain master data entry of an InfoObject is used. The BW system makes this check implicitly, when trying to delete master data, but I couldn't get behind the logic yet.

Unfortunately the two mentioned FMs are not helpful for me. I am looking for a where-used-list of master data entries, but not of InfoObjects. For example I am looking in which InfoCubes the measure pieces of InfoObject '0UNIT' is used.

Program to get where used list

I was looking for a FM or program that would provide me the where used list for an object.
Actually I need to create such a list for all the objects included in a transport request.
The end goal is to find out which all programs/tcodes are linked to these objects.
Please suggest...

I don't think it is realistic. If a transport has a program then you want to find out where the program is used, or if the transport has table entries, what is 'whereused' in this context?
But to find out the where used list for known objects, use the function module 'RS_TOOL_ACCESS' where operation = 'CROSSREF'. Go through the code once to understand the parameters. Unfortunately there is no documentation on this, but you can probably do a 'where-used' on this function module to get an idea.

Where-used list

Hi,
After the upgrade from 46C to ECC 6.0 SR3, the where used list functionality does not work for some objects, while the same works in 46C. Any ideas? We are on Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 and solaris 10 in both environments.

6.13 Updating the Where-Used List in the ABAP Workbench
Note:
This action is optional.
As of Release 6.10, the where-used list for ABAP Dictionary objects and object types has changed. It
now has an index of its own. If you need a complete display of the where-used list in your SAP system,
you must recreate the index after the upgrade.
Procedure
To create the index, you need to run report SAPRSEUB in the background.
Note
As the runtime of the report may be quite long, we recommend that you run it in the development
system only.
For more information about this report, see SAP Note 28022.
I suggest to you to run this program only in development system.

BOM Update using a function module - 'CSAP_MAT_BOM_MAINTAIN'

Hi,
I have problem in updating the item status for a BOM using a function module - 'CSAP_MAT_BOM_MAINTAIN'.
My goal is reset the Checkbox for 'Indicator: item relevant to production'. When i pass the value ' '[Space] to the structure field 'T_STPO-REL_PROD' it doen't work.
Do let me know if you come across such problem & what needs to passed as input to reste the checkbox in the BOM.

PLM wants to manipulate the Indicators u2013 u201CBulk Materialu201D & u201CCost Relevancyu201D in BOM.
Note: The 2 indicators [u201CBulk Materialu201D & u201CCost Relevancyu201D] are interlinked with each other for a business functionlity given by SAP. So, if we try to set both indicators we get the below SAP standard error.

Batch where used List

Hello,
I had an issue. My batch Where used list does not show any usage details in BMBC. Are any special configurations required to activate the batch the Batch Where used list?

Dear First check transaction MB56 also if it too doesn't work then check OMBB settings or Enterprise Structure--> Logistics
General--> Batch Management --> Make Settings for Batch Where-used list Transaction.
Check and Revert.

RFC Function module's where used list

Dear Experts,
I have a situation where in I need to change certain parameters/ the logic of an RFC function module. but before making the changes to the function module I need to know where this function module is used in various systems. So can some one tell me a way to find the where used list of an RFC function module in the calling system.

It could be called from anywhere, theoretically, SAP or non-SAP environments.
I hope you can rely on good documentation in your organization to find the potential callers, as each call must have been consciously implemented at some point.
Also check with system administrators who might have a means to study trace logs for information on calling systems.

Function Module where-used list does not find update rule programs

We have function modules called in update rules. The where-used list in the function builder does not find the update rule programs.
For example, function DATE_GET_WEEK is called in an update rule to InfoCube YCUBE001. The activated program name for this update rule is GP3PWI6PKM5Y3K75A370DIS8I77. When I goto SE37, enter the function DATE_GET_WEEK, click the where-used button, check the programs option and search. The system does not find the program GP3PWI6PKM5Y3K75A370DIS8I77.
Without this search capability it is difficult to do an impact analysis of changing function modules. Does anyone know of a solution?

i think the reason is the code of update rules' generated program are stored line by line in table(rsaabap), update rules program itself stored in table rsupdrout, link with field codeid, another useful table is rsupdinfo which store infocube, infosource related. other info may stored in some other rs* and rsa* tables.
try to create following program in your system, and run, type in the function module name, and will display out the update rules program id, with additional useful info : which infoprovider, infosource, and detail info of the routine and infoobject in the update rule that using that function module. you may modify the program to have better display out list.

I'm looking for a function module which does the same as the where used list: i want to have all tables conataining a special field e.g. mandt. Is there such a FM available?

Function Module or Program to get where used list

Hi,
I´ve been searching for Function Module or program to get where used list for an object.
I try using the FM 'RS_TOOL_ACCESS' with parameters operation = 'CROSSREF', objectname = 'ZMYPROG', object_type = 'PROG'
and in effect i get the list of object where the program is used, but the list is showed in standard screen.
is there a function or program to obtain the used list for an object but in an internal table?
I'm using version 4.6B.
I checked the function module RS_INFOSYSTEM_CREATE_REQUEST, but i didn't obtain any result, is there a funcion or combination or FM to get the used list?
