Documentation on t-code SQ01

Good day!!
Do you have any idea where i can find documentation regarding t-code sq01?
Regards,

Dwight,
Now I get the idea you are looking for change documents and usage history for SAP queries.
If so, I suggest you close this thread and start a new one with the following question:
"How to determine the change history and usage of SAP queries"
If that still does not give you the required info try the ABAP forum.
(Do try one forum at a time, no crossposting pls)

  • ODP API documentation and sample code

I am looking to write a custom program as a part of my client requirement to find the delta changes from an extractor. I heard that latest SAP NetWeaver EhP contains it. I beleive this ODP API is some Java interface and would be useful for me to use in my custom program.
How can I make use of this ODP API? Is there any documentation and code samples available.

I was able to find some API called Data Federator Facade with in the ABAP Code. Is this what it is?

  • Where can I get documentation or sample code for writing C++ RFC program?

Hi all. I am trying to write a UNICODE C++ program that uses standard C++ classes. In addition, the header files that were generated by genh contain C++ class declarations from templates. The class that the template is based on is CAbapType.  I have several questions:
    1.  Where are the sapstring.hpp sapiostrm.hpp, etc... classes that are documented in the document sapucdoc.htm?  These are supposedly the header files that can be used to get access to C++ standard library functionality.
    2. Where is CAbapType defined? I am trying to use classes instead of the structures that were defined in the header file, but without the definition of CAbapType, my code won't compile.  The header file I'm referring to was generated by genh.
    3. I was able to write a C program that uses the structures define in header files generated by genh.  But when I attempt to compile the same code with the C++ compiler, I get all sorts of errors about how the use of cU is deprecated.  cU is the macor used to make Unicode coding easier. Anybody have any clues on how to solve that?  Thanks.
Also, if there is any good documentation on how to write a C++ RFC program, can you please point me to it. So far, I have 1 RFC SDK document that is all about writing C code, but nothing abuot writing C++ code.  Thanks.

I have the same problem. All of the xmp examples and comments in the SDK are great and all, but as far as I can tell, they only show you how to read from or write XMP to a buffer. The real magic here is how do I get data into and out of images??? I've been trying to find out how to identify an "APP1" marker in a jpeg file for a week now. It seems to me that Adobe just expects you to roll your own. If I could do that to begin with, then I'd just put my own xml based data in from the start...

  • Creating ABAP queries with t-code SQ01 in SRM

Please can someone tell me if a list of usefull tables for Carts, Approvals, PO are available in SRM as I cannot find these in SE11. We have no BW and need ABAP query for fullfilings any business requirements.
    Thankyou.

  • Creating Documentation of Application Code

    Hi
I am very impressed with html_db and looking at possible uses for the technology but if I would like to create full code listing of the developed code. I can see a series of reports at the individual page level so could go through each page manually but is there a way of generating a listing for the whole application as with Forms or VB.
Also although I think the work of everyone in the forums is great will html_db become a fully supported (iTars etc) database component with 10g
    Thanks
    Colin

we don't currently provide a clean way to view all the code entered into your html db application. if that is, in fact, what you're asking for, i'd suggest using an html db application export to view that information. when you export an application from html db (using the Export features in the Utilities section), you're given a sqlplus script with a bunch of api calls to the html db engine. that script has all the code (and whatever other metadata) entered for your application. because it's a sqlplus script, all the code blocks are wrapped in quotes, but it'd still be a good way to see what code has been entered for your app.
to answer your support question: yes, oracle html db will be fully supported when 10g is released (thank god).
    hope this helps,
    raj

  • Documentation for error codes from tpcall()

    Dear all,
while investigating a particular error-handling scenario I realized that the documentation for tpcall() was changed between Tuxedo 6.5 and 7.1.
In the 6.5 docs it's stated that after a TPESVCFAIL error you can do tpcall(..., TPNOTRAN) as long as you haven't run out of TRANTIME.
In the 7.1 (and onwards) docs it's stated that after a TPESVCFAIL error you can only do tpacall(..., (TPNOBLOCK|TPNOREPLY|TPNOTRAN))
In the 6.5 docs this is only stated after TPETIME (which makes some kind of sense - you're already late so don't do a lot of more time-consuming stuff).
On the other handl, in a section in the Tuxedo 10.0 docs about error handling (http://edocs.bea.com/tuxedo/tux100/pgc/pgerr.html#wp1155712) you're again told that it's OK to use tpcall() (and recommended to use TPNOTRAN if doing so)
Is this related to multi-threading, or why was the documentation changed?
Testing shows that you can actually do tpcall(..., TPNOTRAN) after a TPESVCFAIL using Tuxedo 8.1. (after a TPETIME it's another story, but I'm OK with that.) Am I the only one being confused by this?
    Best regards,
    /Per

I just checked the XATMI spec (dated November, 1995....) which states the following regarding tpcall() failures:
    [TPESVCFAIL]
The service routine sending the caller’s reply called tpreturn( ) with TPFAIL. This is an
application-level failure. The contents of the service’s reply, if one was sent, are available in
the buffer pointed to by *odata. If the service request was made on behalf of the caller’s
current transaction, the transaction is marked rollback-only. Note that so long as the
transaction has not timed out, further communication may be attempted before rolling back
the transaction. Such attempts may be processed normally or may fail (producing an error
return or event). Such attempts should be made with TPNOTRAN set if they are to have
any lasting effect. Any work performed on behalf of the caller’s transaction is rolled back
    upon transaction completion.
This is consistent with the 6.5 documentation (and 8.1 behaviour). Has the XATMI spec been updated, or what was the rationale for changing the behavior?
    Best regards,
    /Per

  • Documentation for AUTHN_FAIL reason codes?

    Hi:
I'm working on some BI Publisher reports that work on audit records and the eventtype is AUTHN_FAIL and there is a "reason" column with the records. The Reason is an integer value like 37 or 40 etc. I assume it is OAM that defines what these codes mean (LDAP error, ACCOUNT LOCKED, etc.). • Question regarding SAP query (SQ01& SQ02)

    Hello everyone,
I have been assigned a task of creating a SAP query in SQ01. The report requires me to incorporate a drill down functionality.
i.e. when I double click on a material I should be able to see the components of that material.
My question is "Is it possible to incorporate a drill down functionality in a Query through SQ01".
    If yes then how.
Please provide me with some documentations or example codes for this.
    Regards,
    Deepti Jain.

    Deepti,
There are 2 ways to get the output  From SAP query.
    1.Under record processing :
if you don't write any code in Start of selection event for output
(WRITE statements)  we can not have any control on that.
    2. Under start of selection event :
If you write any code in START OF SELECTION event like
get the data in internal table and loop the internal table
In loop WRITE statement to display with format and try to use
Interactive report commands Here. I think it will work fine.

  • How to read the Java source code (in Netbeans)

    I use OS X10.5.5, NetBeans 6.1 and JSE 6 on a 64 bit mac.
When I downloaded NB6.1 it had JSE 5 as it's default (and only) java platform. I ran Software Update to get Java 6 from Apple, used the Java Prefrences utitlity to set JSE6 as default. In NB I added the JDK6 platform, registered the JDK6 javadocs and noticed that I also have the option of registering the Java source code.
    I have three questions:
    1) How do I make JDK6 the default in NetBeans. The JDK5 keeps being default after I did the steps above and I don't see anywhere to change that.
    2) How do I read the Java 6 source code? I can see sun provides [source code| http://download.java.net/jdk6/] for their supported platforms. I dont see Apple doing the same for its JDK port. What would I need to do to get to read the java SE6 sources? or is it actually hiding somewhere in the /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Home hierarchy?
    3) Where does the JVM look for the binary code to run when I make a call to, say java.util.ArrayList or any other library. In my naivety I would have assumed it would be a .class file somewhere in the java Home folder, but I don't see anything like it.
    thanks in advance,
    chris

This is taken from the help included with netbeans. In response to question 1.
By default, the IDE uses the version of the Java SE platform (JDK) with which the IDE runs as the default Java platform
for compilation, execution, and debugging. You can view your IDE's JDK version by choosing Help > About and clicking the
Detail tab. The JDK version is listed in the Java field.
You can run the IDE with a different JDK version by starting the IDE with the --jdkhome jdk-home-dir switch on the command line
or in your IDE-HOME/etc/netbeans.conf file. For more information, see IDE Startup Parameters.
In the IDE, you can register multiple Java platforms and attach Javadoc and source code to each platform. For example, if you
want to work with the new features introduced in JDK 5.0, you would either run the IDE on JDK 5.0 or register JDK 5.0 as a
platform and attach the source code and Javadoc to the platform.
In  , you can switch the target JDK in the Project Properties dialog box. In  , you have to set the target JDK in the Ant script itself,
then specify the source/binary format in the Project Properties dialog box.
To register a new Java platform:
Choose Tools > Java Platforms from the main window.
Click New Platform and select the directory that contains the Java platform. Java platform directories are marked with a
    in the file chooser.
Use the Sources and Javadoc tabs to attach Javadoc documentation and source code for debugging to the platform.
    Click Close.
To set the default Java platform for a standard project:
Right-click the project's root node in the Projects window and choose Properties.
In the Project Properties dialog box, select the Libraries node in the left pane.
Choose the desired Java platform in the Java Platform combo box.
Switching the target JDK for a standard project does the following:
Offers the new target JDK's classes for code completion.
If available, displays the target JDK's source code and Javadoc documentation.
Uses the target JDK's executables (javac and java) to compile and execute your application.
Compiles your source code against the target JDK's libraries.
If you want to register additional Java platforms with the IDE, you can do so by clicking the Manage Platforms button.
Then click the Add Platform button and navigate to the desired platform.
To set the target Java platform for a free-form project:
In your Ant script, set the target JDK as desired in the javac, java, and javadoc tasks.
Right-click the project's root node in the Projects window and choose Properties.
In the Sources panel, set the level of JDK you want your application to be run on in the Source/Binary Format combo box.
When you access Javadoc or source code for JDK classes, the IDE searches the Java platforms registered in the
Java Platform Manager for a platform with a matching version number. If no matching platform is found, the IDE's default platform is used instead.

  • Payroll Posting to multiple Company Codes in FI and CO possible?

    Dear experts,
I need your help on the following challenging issue with respect to payroll posting to accounting.
Is it possible for a payroll that runs in one company code for all employees, to post to FI and CO for multiple CoCds?
    Example:
WT 1234 exists in HR CoCd 1000 (assume an amount of u20AC 100 in the payroll results)
G/L ABC exists in FI CoCd 1000
G/L DEF exists in FI CoCd 2000
CCtr xyz exists in CO CoCd 1000 (which is the employee's master cost centre)
CCtr uvw exists in CO CoCd 2000
The wage type should be mapped as follows:
+ 100 to G/L ABC and CCtr xyz (this is no problem, is realized with standard mapping)
    - 100 to G/L DEF and CCtr uvw
The challenge is in the fact that the credit amount should go to another company code than the debit amount.
    How can I realize this?
Thanks in advance for your feedback!
    Jeroen

    This is from SAP documentation:
Cross-company code transactions are characterized by the fact that payables are assigned to a company code other than the one in which the corresponding expenses arose. This results in receivables and payables between company codes.
If you want to post these receivables and payables to company code clearing accounts, you must make the settings in several steps, as outlined in the following.
Note that in the case of separate HR/AC systems, posting to company code clearing accounts can only be implemented if the AC system is in Release 4.5A or higher.
For more information on cross-company code transactions and business considerations, refer to the SAP Library under Payroll -> country -> Subsequent Activities -> Posting to Accounting -> Special Business Requirements for Posting -> Cross-Company Code Transactions.
Settings for Posting to Company Code Clearing Accounts
    1. In the step Define Symbolic Accounts, you must assign an account determination type to each symbolic account in Human Resources. For specific postings to balance sheet accounts, the account assign types FL and FO are used. From a technical viewpoint, these account assignments are defined as follows:
Wage types that are assigned to a symbolic account with account assignment type FL are posted in accordance with the information from the last period in the WPBP table (Work Center Basic Pay) for the current original result.
Wage types that are assigned to a symbolic account with account assignment type FO are only used for posting in the evaluation of a current original result.
    2. In the step Define Posting Characteristics of Wage Types, you must assign the symbolic accounts with the account assignment types FL and FO to the corresponding wage types:
You assign the symbolic accounts with account assignment type FL to wage types that, in the case of retroactive accounting, contain the difference between old and new payment amounts. In countries that use the principle of origin, this usually involves wage types /551 Recalculation difference and /552 Subsequent clearing from previous month.
You assign symbolic accounts with the account assignment type FO to wage types that contain payments to employees and whose amounts do not change in the case of retroactive accounting. This usually involves wage types /557 Cash payment, /558 Payment of balance, /559 Transfer and other, country-specific wage types.
    3. In the step Create Posting Variants, you must set the Post to company-code clearing account indicator for the variants that you use. Otherwise, payables and receivables between company codes are not posted to company code clearing accounts, and remain as the balance on the document split account for the company codes affected.
