Does 4.0.1 fix all iPhone 4 issues?

I got a call from AT&T and they said the iPhone 4 I ordered has arrived. I am afraid to go and get it because of the problems reported by early adopters. The "death grip" issue doesn't bother me because there is an easy and reliable fix for it. The proximity sensor issue does scare me, but I have seen some posts that say 4.0.1 fixes it. But what about the bluetooth issue?

Fix your iphone sound issue once and for all.

I spent the last 12 hours reading through sound fix's for iphones of all different numbers colors and types. everything from random button presses to blowing into headphone jacks to downloading a gangam style app. im here to tell you none of that crap works. blowing into the headphone jack "appears" to work temporaarily but its not a fix. heres what i did and it worked. i spent an hour messing with everything i could find. i could get the sound to come on but only VERY briefly. like seconds at a time. no volume bars nothing. but ringtones worked fine. i took a small screwdriver and gently pushed the docking connector upwards after reading it could be a docking issue. and whaddya know... works perfectly. not one issue now. now this could have fixed it for one of 2 reasons i can think of. either A the docking connector was in fact dirty and i got some crap off it when i moved it up. or B the pins were somehow not sitting right and by pushing it upward i reset them. i searched HOURS just to fix it myself. and im posting this in the hopes it helps some of you so you dont have to go through the crap i just went through. give it a shot just dont push too hard and snap yer connector. "btw might take a few trys of pushing it upward in different spots. i did it evenly across it a couple times and fixed all my problems."

The link you just gave me DOES NOT address ALL the outstanding issues with the 7216 nor the 6216. It doesnt mention the "Cannot locate network hub" issue, it doesnt address the "audio clicking issues".. it does not mention the "audio/video stuttering" issue on the 7216, should I go on...?

Who are you talking to? This is a user-to-user tech support site, not Apple support. Apple doesn't read let alone respond here.
Apple isn't going to "fix" this with a software update either, because it's a hardware problem on your phone. Take your phone to Apple or an Apple authorized service provider.

I have read all of the answers to problems and have tried every solution posted and my account email is still acting like is uploading and updating but nothing comes up on the screen. I noticed that a lot of people here has some type of issue with emails which it happens to be at least for me one of the main reasons to buy the iphone (besides how cool it is)
Would apple realize all this issues and help us all to get functionality in the emails? Or there is somebody in this discussion that still have some tricks up their sleeve? I'll take every help i can get, right now I'm the joke of the office as everybody else have Treos and get their email working fine. Its frustrating and frankly the iphone beats the other phones hands down but it wont work!!!!!!!

Much of what we have to work with is the email servers and settings that your email provider requires.
What type of email account are you accessing?
Do you notice the same behavior on Wi-Fi and EDGE both?
Is this your own account, a work account with an Exchange server, or a domain that you have hosted somewhere?

The note at the top mentions IMAP must be enabled on the Exchange server. In addition many workplaces put their Exchange server behind a firewall, and need to allow access past the firewall either by opening ports up, or via VPN for the Exchange server to work for users outside of the company network.

All of a sudden, the down button became hard to press, I don't hear that clicking noise it used to make when I press it. The up button is fine, it's just the down button. It still works but I have to press it really hard in order for it to work. How do I fix this? How do I get it replaced if I don't have warrnty onthis and it's been over a year since I got it? How much do I pay?

Apple generally only does replacements, not repairs on the iPhone. An out of warranty replacement would be $149 plus applicable taxes.
You can either call AppleCare or take the phone in to an Apple Retail Store to setup service. You can also try contacting your carrier to see if they have other options for you.

McAfee AntiVirus by any chance? See the thread Why does iTunes delete my itunesprefs.xml?
Or it could be an issue with the SC Info folder. See TS1277 - iTunes: Missing folder or incorrect permissions may prevent authorization for details.
Or a repair install of iTunes from the Programs and Features control panel might fix the problem.

Are you aware that if you restore your ipad that you will lose all data from your ipad and very difficult to get it back unless you had previously made a back-up of your data on itunes or in the cloud. and that would be on the computer you set those up on. (There are some independent apps out there that might help restore data but I don't have any experience with them...)
Also, I think if you restore on another computer you're supposed to have administrator rights and have the latest itunes update. And I think if you sync (if restoring is considered syncing with another computer, you'll be locked out of your computer or a new one.)
I don't know if there is a way for you to safely eject your ipad from your mom's laptop and find another way, but please read this

And then tell the story of your problem that you originally included and your follow-up efforts to restore given a suggestion on previous post (though I think you SHOULD AVOID RSTORE if you can.) its fixed!! After posting my problem with the FROZEN ipod classic (2007) 80 gb a screen popped up with similar subjects that I did not find in my original search. 'Rich Fleming' in the community posted a suggestion to someone with a similar frozen issue and it WORKED when I tried it.
hold the 'menu' and the 'circle' buttons down at the same time, KEEP the pressed until the apple appears. and now it is working. Hope this helps others.

and you can restore any backup afterwards as yo see fit
