Does anyone else have a bill that is a different ammount every month

My bill this month is $13 higher than last month. I was told by the condescending customer service last month that I could expect to pay withing a few cents the same amount every month. Surprise! $13 higher this month and customer service told me it was due to my local taxes fluctuating. I don't have time to call customer service every month and don't feel like I should have to. I was so happy with Verizon for years and now can't wait for my contract to expire so I can find an honest alternative if such a thing exists.

Have you looked at your detailed bill to determine what the additional charge was?
My bill does not fluctuate much, +/- $0.10 each month.
I would definitely check to see if that additional charge was for a premium text which normally run $9.99. With tax, that could account for almost all of the additional charge. If it was for a premium text, you should be able to call CS and have it removed if you did not in fact authorize it. At the same time, I would have premium texts blocked from you line.

    I bought my system new in 2009. It's a 2.66 GHz Core 2 Duo Intel processor with 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 installed memory. I'm running OSx 10.6.8 Mavericks. The behavior of not displaying my chosen desktop image is new and disturbing. Although the problem seems to be malevolent and non destructive, the cause of the condition is difficult to understand & correct. If Macintosh has designed this to indicate a more serious problem, I salute the protocol but now ask for conditions that may trigger my machine to ignore it's user directed programming and decide to display a 'default' desktop image. Interestingly, at the same time the correct image remains on the Display tab of 'System Information' page . What's wrong with my untouchable, reliable, uncrackable Mac? A more obvious sign of corruption is the sporadic temporary freezing, from a few seconds up to what seems to last over a minute, of most media. It happens while using many different players including iTunes, iDVD player, VLC, Quicktime, Flip4Mac, etc. Any intended help with either or both of these glitches will be reviewed and appreciated.     Most of your items sound like some third party software interfering with InDesign. They don't sound like normal problems.

    Is there a way to avopid my iMac opening all my previously used applications everytime I start up the computer every morning.
    It's especially annoying if I have clients with me who I dont want to see what I have been previously working on.

  • Does anyone else have problems with the new macbook pro trackpad?

    I exchanged my new macbook pro last week because there was a major trackpad lag. Every time I put it to sleep and woke it up, the trackpad would delay 5 or more seconds. I took it in to the Apple store and they said it could be a software issue and I exchanged it. However, I just opened up this one up from the package today, and there's still a lag. Does anyone else have problems with that? I don't want to exchange it again, so is there something I can do?

    Also, is it mandatory to run software updates when you first turn on your computer?

    Back up all data before proceeding.
    This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
    Step 1
    If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
    Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:

    I downloaded and tried EasyFind. It works but it took 30+ seconds to complete finding 3 files that are on One of my Five 25+ Gb partitions of my 130 Gb Seagate Cuda(Really 160 Gb, but my Sawtooth will only recognize 130) I figured that if I ever got a better box, I could reformat it to see the whole 160 Gb. So, as far as I can see, Spotlight's indexing scheme which finds the files instantly is probably preferable. Spot light allows you to rename your files from within it's app window. I've always thought that was pretty powerful. Could my doing so be causing me any issues? As i said it is the inability to Type in the Finder that seemed to be caused from changing file Extentions that were mis-written. Maybe it was a delayed reaction to my renaming files in the Spotlight app? I've done both on occasion.
    As for these .DS_Store files. Apparently you can NOT stop them from being written to any folder that you touch/open/view during a days session. But, as a function of the OS, are the essential to have in their respective folders Forever? I've looked at the .DS_Store terminator app briefly and assume that getting rid of these files won't hurt the regular operation of my OS. They will just be re-written if I ever have to go back to any particular folder again. But, apparently, some have said that if the plan on burning a CD or DVD of their data, they delete the .DS_Store files first and then do the burn.
    I'm thinking from your having suggested this tremination app that you suspect that my having all of these ,DS_Store files could be a situation where any of them could have become corrupted and terminating them regularly should be part of my regular maintenance.
    Does that sound like I'm understanding what I can do?

    The background music I chose was a standard Apple Loop, but on playback it sounds like someone has cut the music, each time the Loop connects to the extended loops I made when I dragged the end of the initial loop out over a short distance? Did I do it wrong?
    When you extend the loop by dragging the the end of the loop (you'll see a bracket as cursor), you will extend the loop by silence and hear a sharp cut. To make the loop longer, loop it. Grab it in a way, that you'll see a curved arrow as pointer and not the bracket.

    Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app.  I am certain other applications also need this information.  Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information.  Feel free to post additional information, faulty information, or other related topics below as this is simply a collection of data and it would be practically impossible to test all of them.   • Almost everytime I sign into Game Center or into a game itself my iPad goes back to desktop. Does anyone else have this problem?

    I'm having a lot of problems sometimes signing into Game Center, or when the game itself is loaded I will click on something and it pretty much crashes and goes back to desktop! This is very annoying. Just not sure why this keeps happening. Does anyone else have this problem and know what the cause of it may be?

    My guess would be you don't have enough memory available to run the games that you are trying to play. This is not supposed to happen in iOS - but I have seen too many instances to believe that the iOS can handle it properly all of the time. My suggestion would be to close all apps in the recents tray, reboot and start over again and see if that helps.
    Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
    Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
    The problem could be something else software related and restoring the device might help, but I would start with this and see how it goes.

    ITunes New Release - Printing a playlist to my printer the header prints, but the song list all print in the same place.  I am able to print from any other source.  Does anyone else have this problem?  Not sure if I should completely uninstall my ITunes and reload from scratch.  Sure would appreciate any help you could provide as I really need to get some playlists printed now.  Thanks - Scott

    There is another discussion of this problem under "can't print cd jewel case inserts"--about 20 people on that page have the same problem.--I have a "band-aid" fix for anyone is in a hurry.  When you go to print, choose the option "large playlist" (I think it is the last option).  You can then print at least the songs that are on the playlist.  Then, you can print a mosaic copy to get the album art work.  Then you get out the scotch tape & tape them together!  This is UNACCEPTABLE but it will do in a pinch. Someone on the other page suggests we all write in "itunes" feedback & complain.

    Half the ebooks I have bought from iTunes have large sections or complete chapters missing from them which is beginning to seriously irritate.  Does anyone else have this problem or it is something to do with the downloading. In which case does anyone have an answer?

    You should be able to delete and redownload them via the bookshelf in the iBooks app : tap the Edit button top right of the shelf, select and delete the books, then go into the Store via the button top left of the bookshelf, and in the Purchased tab (bottom right of the store) find and re-download the books.
    If they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those books and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

  • HELP!! Does anyone else have their entire keyboard stop working with photoshop?

    This varies for me but most of the time whenever I use Photoshop CC and CS6 my ENTIRE keyboard stops working. Not just the shortcuts but even in other apps too. The only keys that remain functional are the fn, control, option, shift, delete, all of the F keys, and command keys. I am not sure if this is due to me not having enough ram (I have 4 GB). Does anyone else have this problem and if so what did you do to fix it?

    I also have this issue and it's driving me bonkers.

    Issue only with Photoshop - no other applications.
    I have tried a brand new machine and a brand new keyboard (replaced my main workstation recently), so I know for sure it's not an issue with any of my hardware. I also know for sure that it's not an issue belonging only to one OS version, as I had the same issue with win7pro and win8.1pro.
    For me the issue is that ALL keyboard keys stop responding completely in Photoshop until I hit the Windows key or otherwise maximise/bring to focus any other application, such as desktop or Outlook etc. Then I immediately bring Photoshop CC back into focus and the keyboard works again. Then after a few moments/clicks/commands the keyboard dies again.
    The issue is 100% local to Photoshop CC, is not related in any way to Wacom drivers (I don't have any installed and don't use a tablet), is not related only to one OS and is not hardware related, as far as I can tell. Once again, I've had these issues on-and-off across 2 different machines with different keyboards.
    I'm wondering if it's related to Teamviewer, since TV creates focus issues with certain other applications/games etc. I will try with TV closed and see if the problem goes away.
    All CC apps are up-to-date.

    If you are positive there is a good Wi-Fi signal in the area of the iPad I would first reboot your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.
    If that doesn't work, I would turn off your iPad and then restart your Wi-Fi router. Unplug the router for 30 seconds then plug it back in. Once the router had completed its restart process and established a link to the Internet then turn your iPad on. Make sure Settings > Wi-Fi> On.

    On my machine it seems that the fi ligature doesn't exist with Times New Roman (installed version is 5.01.3x)
    It's available in Warnock Pro but the st one which is designed in Warnock doesn't apply.

    I have exactly the same issue as described above : I installed the update 5.1.1 on my iphone 3GS and since then, I can not turn it on anymore. In Itunes, I get an error 37 when I am doing a restauration and it stops.
    This error has nothing to do with firewall : I tried to restore the phone on several computers, including in an Apple reseller and it did not work anywhere.
    I spent several hours on phone with the hotline from Apple which arrived to the conclusion that it is a hardware issue, but the phone was working perfectly fine until I installed this update!
