Does anyone have a fix for the "Local Hostname Already in use..."-bug?

I get this message + an incremental change in hoist name upon each wakeup (iMac, not me!) from sleep. I need a permanent fix, I would not like to play with Aiport settings etc. This issue came afetr upgrade to OSX 10.7.4. Will Mountain Lion fix it?

Never seen it. What makes you think it is a bug? Have seen no reports of it. Sounds like it is all within your settings.

If you are getting that message on a brand new Mac with nothing connected to the USB ports, take it back. It is broken.

I keep getting this error message over and over when all I have plugged in is an Apple USB keyboard and Apple Mouse. Please help...this is crippling the computer!

Sometimes you have to reset the SMC two or three times for it to work, don't know why. I've seen that error message before and 100% of the time it was fixed with an SMC reset. I suppose it's possible that your keyboard or mouse IS drawing too much power, do you have access to another you could try?

When I try to start up iTunes I get an error message "iTunes has stopped working" and I have to close the program. I have performed a complete uninstall of all things Apple and reinstalled iTunes but no joy.

Did you after uninstalling iTunes (and before reinstalling) checked if the following directories where also deleted ?
(These directories store your iTunes and also other Apple Products settings...)

I have searched my computer for that file SQlite3.dll and also file QTCF.dll and I cannot find either one when I search my whole computer for it. I cannot fix this! I deleted Itunes and every time I try to download it, it goes through all this download till the end when it says that iTunes.exe-entry point now found and that Procedure entry point message comes up. HELP! This is driving me crazy. How can I get itunes to work again when I can't find the danged .dll file to remove, move or rename!?!?!??

After a previous Adobe update, all of my desktop icons turned into Adobe icons. I'm not sure how it happened - I just looked away from my computer for a second and when I looked back, there they were!
Does Adobe have a 'fix' for this problem? I have had to uninstall Adobe in order to use my other programs, but I teach and I use Adobe documents quite often, so now I can't open those.

Some of what you are describing is commun to a lot of user, some other not.
For specific third party apps crashing, I guess you will have to wait until an update for iOS6 from the developpers. As for the App Store crashing, some research in forums that this is to be spreaded to many users. For this one, no options seems to efficienly handle the issue and therefore, we will have to wait until an Apple update.
The fact that all your apps are crashing and that you got slow performances seems to be a more specific issue. I think that performing a restore on your iPod should worth your time. I personally got a few crashing apps as well as the AppStore but other than this, performaces are quite as with iOS5.

Anyone have a fix for the iPhone 4s "Saving Photo" hang/rendering/error?

Just got a new iPhone 4s and having issues with the camera/photos.
First, I restored the phone from a recent backup of my iPhone 4. All seemed fine, but somewhere along the line I lost the ability to send photos via email or mms - camera app just hangs on "SAVING PHOTO", then the photo appears in the camera roll as a black box, but it CAN be seen in the little preview wiindow on the left side of the camera app control bar. Other photos look half blurry as in partially rendered. iPhoto will not recognize any of these photos either. I am backing up to iCloud but do NOT have Photo Stream enabled.
A restore to factory settings and the camera + send works ok, but then when I restore from my backup problems come back which leads me to believe its a configuration issue maybe due to permissioning.
Finally, I did a restore and just resynced the apps and reconfigured all the other settings. The phone now takes photos and I can send them, but iPhoto won't recognize them. Additionally, if I take a photo then delete it, it will still show in the preview window on the control bar of the camera, but its not in the camera roll. I still get some half rendered images. Oddly, this only seems to occur when I'm attached to wifi - as if its trying to sync with the cloud or itunes, but I have that disabled.
Anyone run into these issues and hopefuly have a resolution?

I'm having the same issue, except mine only came up once I turned Photo Stream on. However, with Photo Stream on, I can view the photos fine on my iPad. They are all just blacked out or blurry on my iPhone. This means that I can take photos with my iPhone but then cannot view them until I get home and sync to the iPad via Photo Stream.
Also, I dont' know if it's linked, but I cannot access the included Wallpapers in Settings. It just brings up a blank page. I'm planning on going in to the local Apple Store, but was hoping someone might have figured out what was happening with this issue.

Hi, i have recently downloaded and installed the latest software, ios6.
I really like the updated theme (i.e. I like the music player screen and the app store layout) However, i am sorely disappointed with the performance. The software is very unstable. Apps and games constantly crash. It isn't certain applications though, all the applications installed on my ipod constantly crash. App store is virtually impossible to use also as it crashes literally after every few seconds of use. It is also very slow. I was wondering if anybody knows of a solution or if there is a coming update to resolve the problem"s".

I have been trying to skype with my daughter on my iMac, intel. I've downloaded 7.0.02 ... the newest OS. The camera will not work with Skype. Any fixes yet, Apple?

HT1430 Trouble getting email on my ipad. I have deleted and re-added the original email address in Settings. Then restarted the ipad. Still continue to get the endless cycling when I try to get on my yahoo email account. Does anyone have a fix for this

No, your Yahoo account is not in iCloud (which only handles iCloud mail), it is in Yahoo, and the Yahoo mail account is on your iPad.

Get the correct settings for your account from Yahoo and set it up manually.
By the way, I also find the "password" issue problematical. It seems Apple want my Apple password rather than my eMail password. All very confusing.

Maxx Hotspot won't play nice with an IPad, Win7 laptop, and XP desktop. If the IPad connects to the hotspot first, it seems to lock the laptop out of an internet connection. Does anyone have a fix for this?

I recently had to replace my Razr Maxx with a newer model. XT1080 8984 The older model would handle multiple connections without a problem. However, the newer model (and newer OS?) has some sort of conflict between the IPad and the Win7 Laptop. I've spent a day getting the laptop connected to the internet and don't have a great deal of confidence that the connections won't fail in a moments notice.
Any suggestions or solutions?

Thanks for all the extra details, shkc. While the occasional reboot is a good idea on any device, we certainly don't want you to need multiple restarts either. Try deleting the WiFi connection on all the connected devices. Then on your Maxx, go to Menu>Settings>More (under Wireless & Networks)>Tethering & Mobile Hotspot>Mobile Hotspot Settings>Configire Mobile Hotspot. First, change the Network Name to something a bit different with no special characters. Also, change the Broadcast Channel from Auto to a specific number, such as 10. Then save your changes and create the WiFi connection from the beginning on each of your connected devices.
