Does anyone know how I can change the font size on my Palm Desktop?
My IBM Thinkpad T23 shows the Palm Desktop memos, addresses and calendar information in very small fonts that are hard to read and I have not found a way to change them.
Post relates to: Treo 600 (Verizon)
Using "regedit" I was able to change the font size larger for use with the Palm Desktop software.
Run "regedit" and export (save) a backup copy for safety
File > Export
Search for "FontSmall"
Edit > Find > Find what > FontSmall
Click on FontSizeGeneral and change the "Value data" to 16
Exit "regedit"
Run Palm Desktop software and enjoy the new legible font size!
Notes:
1) The location of the Palm Desktop software on my system using "regedit" is:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Pilot Desktop\Core
* Your location of the Palm Desktop software may differ.
2) I tested this on monitors using resolutions of 1280 x 1024 and 1024 x 768
The font size is noticeably readable and much, much better
3) You may also change the font family from the default (Arial) to another, such as Verdana, etc.
FontCard (Changes the font family in the side panels)
FontGeneral (Changes the font family for most of the program fonts)
4) Operating System: Windows XP Pro

hit command + A to highight all text, type in 13 in the font size box.

If you are using Safari as a web browser :-
Open Safari, go to Safari menu > Preferences > General, and put Google as the homepage. Then, choose Google as your default search engine.
If you are using Google Chrome as the web browser :-
Open Google Chrome.
In the top right corner of the page, click the Chrome menu Chrome menu > Settings.
In the "Search" section, select Google from the drop-down menu.

When I got my new iPhone and was trying to switch everything over I accidentally set up a new icloud account with one email and had one on my old iphone with another account. Does anyone know how I can merge the two accounts?
You cannot merge Apple IDs but you can go to Settings > iCloud and 'Delete Account'. When prompted to turn off documents and data, choose the only option which is Delete from my iPhone, but on the other prompt for Contacts, Calendars, etc you can choose 'Keep on my iPhone' Then once the Account is Deleted form the iPhone, log back in with the correct Apple ID and choose Merge when prompted. This will merge your data from this iPhone with that iCloud account effectively putting your devices on the same account.

Does anyone know how i can get the older versions of the ipod software on my nano because my nano had a feature that when i held down the menu button for a couple of seconds, the backlight turned on.......well ever since i downloaded the most recent software, everytime i hold down the menu button, it goes directly to the menu(which im not very enthusiastic about). Can anyone please help me if you can? I appreciate your help=)
i agree with you 100%, i really want that feature back! it was so useful being able to turn the backlight on and off whenever i wanted. unfortunately im in the same boat as you are as i dont know how to get the old software

I essentially do what Ellis recommends, although I usually use a somewhat different method:
Draw two circles
Copy and paste in place
Select the topmost circles
Use Object -> Pathfinder -> Intersect, which creates the green object in Ellis' screenshot
Then grab the bottom-most circles and use Object -> Pathfinder -> Exclude Overlap
Lastly, with your Exclude Overlap circles still selected, use Release Compound Paths.
This has the same effect, but I don't love the anchor-points-and-scissors method myself. Many years ago I taught myself Illustrator with a flaky mouse on an irregular surface; it left me with a pathological hatred of tasks that require fiddly mouse-work. So I have keyboard shortcuts for all of the above, and can select all of the objects without having to very carefully mouse over a path. If you're fast with fiddly mouse-work, Ellis' method will probably work better for you than mine. -

I'm not certain I know what you want to do, but consider these ideas:
(1) If you have seen a video of people doing it, the people who made the video surely know how. Ask them if you can.
(2) You may be able to do what you want with this app:

(3) The easiest way I was able to record my screen and simultaneous video of me in a window in the top corner of my display was to use two webcams. I used QuickTimeX to make a screen recording while I used my built-in iSight to show me moving in my Photo Booth window on the display.

When sending an email I used to be able to click on a distribution list in my contacts and it would add all the email addresses, I now have to add each email address individually and this takes a lot of time. Could someone tell me how I can add a distibution list/group to my emails?

My wallpaper photo is not stored in my list of wallpaper photos, or in my photos.
Still displayed as my wallpaper.
How do I save this photo back into my photosNo, it is nowhere, just my wallpaper.
It must be somewhere for it to still be my wallpaper.
I have checked my camera roll, wallpaper photo's, which just contain the free ones provided, and my computer.
The elusive photo is missing but is still my wallpaper.

Does anyone know how I can update the Java 1.3.1 Time Zone Definitions?
I have an Application that was packaged with Java Runtime 1.3.1 before the DST Changes and need to update the time zone definitions to correct for the difference in the old DST dates and the new DST dates for Central Time Zone - US.
I don't get it. Why were DST incorporated into the 'Application'? Normally a Java app. would get them from the JRE (AFAIU), and if the '1.3.1 built' app. is run using Java 1.5 or 1.6, it will pick up the updated DST.

I need help using an iTunes card on my iPad purchased when I was in the USA and registered it at home in Sweden. Now I am back in USA and the iPad says iTunes card won't work on a foreign iPad. Is there a way to use this iTunes card?

Go to Settings>General>International>Region Format>United States. Then go to Settings>Store>Tap your Apple ID. Tap View Apple ID. Enter your password. Go to country/region and make sure that you are in the U.S. store in there. -
When I click a link in email from the dock I get "no associated application could be found", however if I used comcast email the link will open.Does anyone know how I can enable the links to open in my apple email account on the dock?

I own a I phone 4. I recently changed my service from AT&T to Straight Talk. It was working fine but then I deleted the vpn file on accident. Now when I try to get on line I get a message that I am not signed up with a cellular data network. Does anyone know how I can retrieve or download the vpn file?
I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.
