Does Anyone Know How to Select a Frame?

Hello Folks,
I am trying to select a certain frame (from three frames) to display only that particular frame's content. I'm doing this to select and display a certain hair_mc from a master layer.

I can't seem to figure out how to select the desired frame number. I'm obviously missing a few concepts. Do I create and insert the _mc on a keyframe, blanks kf, or regular frame? I've tried several times, but just can't figure it out.
Could somebody explain, in detail, how to do this in CS5.5?

Yes. It appears I changed the ones on the stage. I haven't (directly) touched or modified anything in the library.
I have run into another snag and it has to do with your last question.
I have a three-frame graphic that is playing like a movie. I thought I was to select the desired frame to show the position I wanted the hair to be. Without even getting that far, I set up the last keyframe and scrubbed the time line only to notice the three-frame succession.
One other thing was the webpage link above has these folks doing this with movie clips and not graphic files. Is this because they're working with earlier versions of Flash? Maybe the original files were movie clips and they changed them to graphic files?
More importantly, how do I remedy the problem with the three frames playing in succession?
There was this quote from the webpage: "They are all nested into a master hand symbol and each individual hand pose resides in its own frame. This is so I can control what hand is visible throughout the animation by controlling what frame of the symbol is displayed on the parent timeline." (I added the italics).
I wondering if I'm not correctly "nesting" them.

I'm new to Mac operating system. Can anyone tell me how to select multiple images in cs6 photoshop? Without having to hold down a shift or cmd key and clicking on each one.

I assume you are using the Shape tool to draw your hexagons. After you drag out the shape, use the Transform controls to tweak the size, so that the width is evenly divisible by 4, and the height is an even number. If you wand a gap between shapes, include that in your adjustments. Make a note of the new width and height.
Once the scaling is committed and the shape is selected, Control+Alt+T to Free Transform Copy, and in the Option Bar, set the X and Y to Relative. Set X to zero, and Y to the height you set earlier, and commit the Transform. Then Repeatedly press Shift+Control+Alt+T to make more transformed copies.
With a vertical column of shapes, Alt-Click on the Shape Path in the Paths panel to select the whole path. Control+Alt+T again. This time, again using relative, set X to three-quarters of the width you noted earlier, and Y to one-half the height, and commit
Finally, again Alt-click on the Shape Path in the Paths panel, and Transform Copy relative with X = one and a half times the width you noted, and Y to zero. After committing this, Shift+Control+Alt+T as above to extend more columns.
And JJ, those are Octagons .

Does anyone know how to open an old AppleWorks document: Address DB.cwk is the name of the document. I've tried Pages, iWork applications, Word and keep getting an error message.

This is an old file saved from a crashed MacBook and we're trying to figure out if we can get the information from the file - a list of contacts and addresses.

As of Lion (10.7) the PowerPC compatibility "Rosetta" utility is no longer supported by Apple. So PowerPC programs such as AppleWorks no longer work.

If your Mac came with Snow Leopard or and earlier OS you can run Snow Leopard (10.6) on an external drive or on a partition on your internal drive to continue running PowerPC programs under the Rosetta utility. Using the Startup Manager http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1310 you would boot Snow Leopard to run the PowerPC applications and then reboot a newer OS (10.7, 10.8 or 10.9) to run normally.
If you have a newer machine or will be using the PowerPC applications often and you want to run them on Snow Leopard at the same time you run a newer operating system, then you can use a virtual machine such as Parallels, VirtualBox, or VMWare Fusion. No. This is NOT true. I've been battling with this for a couple hours.
I choose Export>Versions
choose
Subfolder Format: Project Name
no custom subfolder
Name Format: Current Version Name.
Aperture creates project folders for each image and names them Projects1, Projects2, Projects3 etc.
To be sure, I have no project named Projects
x
This particular Aperture library has 16 projects. you can see in the screen grab it's created more than 30 folders
If I uncheck the Subfolder, that is say NONE, I just get images and images and images, not in their project folders (of course, because I've said NONE, so why would it put them in project folders?)
I just want to export the entire library and have the versions placed in folders named by the projects from which they came.... ez enough, no?

Apparently it's related to the Firefox plug in.
This isn't exactly a solution but more of a way to avoid opening PDFs with Firefox's plug in.
1. Highlight "Tools" from the Menu Bar in the top left of the screen (or click "Options" if using the Firefox Compact Menu)
2. Select to "Options
3. Select "Applications"
4. Look for "Adobe Acrobat Document" under Content Type and to the right under Action select "Use Adobe Reader (default)" instead of the using Adobe Acrobat in Firefox
5. Open a test PDF. It should open in it's own window now.
Again, not a complete solution but something that'll at least let you scroll with PDFs open.

The feature has been removed to make safari even less useable. You need to download a third party browser like atomic web browser to get the functionality you want back.
Like many new IOS 7 "features", safari on the ipad is a FAIL.
At least you can now bury safari in a folder containing hundreds of icons that you can only view 9 at a time.

Does anyone know how to simply edit the text in the spine of hard cover, 40 page book in the book module? I can click into any other text window and edit and change attributes but I am locked out of editing text when it comes to the spine of the book. I spoke to Blurb support and they referred me to Adobe. I spent 45 minutes with support here - no one knew. I am still waiting for a call back with an answer... not holding my breath as it's been a few hours now. HELP!!!

I have experienced all the fiddly aspects you mentioned - these are attributes and although changing them requires the skill of a surgeon's hand - it's the actual editing of the text I can't seem to access anymore. The box just won't allow me to do anything except change attributes. Does that make sense? And it's only on the spine where I am having this issue. Puzzled! I have even rebooted the program and just now the computer - to no avail.

Try restarting your iPhone by holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, double check the volume button just in case. If you still can't hear the tones go into your settings>sounds and make sure the options are on.

I followed the steps to unlock the .icc file in the "getinfo" screen then went on clicking repair in colorsync utility.
This is the message i got:

   Tag 'cprt': Text tag has an incorrect length. Fixed.
Repair done - 1 profiles fixed.
However, when i hit verify again it shows up like this:

I didn't get this message so far. What i did before getting this message was to open a jpeg file. I wanted to edit it so when i did right click on the file i went to open with, and colorsync came as an option; so i chose it.

Draw the shape which is to be knocked out (a line in the example) in a layer above the logo. The colour doesn't matter because it will be made invisible.
Double-click in the space to the right of the layer's name in Layers panel to open its Layer Style window where advanced blending can be modified.
Set Fill Opacity to zero and Knockout to "Deep" or "Shallow" depending on whether the knockout should be limited to a containing Group.

I updated via my iPhone 4s. The apps were on my iPhone 4s. That's all the information that I have. The update to ios7 seems to have gone smoothly - everything else is working, phone texting, email, internet, etc. But all of the apps I had installed over the past year are no longer showing up as shortcuts. No facebook, no twitter, no espn, etc. They are all still listed in my app store as purchased, but the shortcuts and my folders are gone. Thanks.
