Does Intune Company Portal in mobile devices notify app updates?

Hi,
Does Intune Company Portal in mobile devices notify app updates?
And if we retire the devices from company portal, the apps we just previously installed from the company portal app will be uninstalled automatically?

I believe, it won't show any notification, you need to open company portal and search for the new apps which you have published.
Yes,All the Apps which you have installed from the company portal will be uninstalled and the device will set to default settings.

  • Intune Company Portal iOS app - Connection Issue: Unexpected connection issue occured

    Greetings,
    I am in the process of enrolling an iOS device and I have installed the Intune Company Portal App.  When I attempt to sign in, it starts to redirect me "We are taking you to your company sin-in page" then the app says "Connection Issue,
    an unexpected connection issue occurred.
    However if I attempt to enroll via the web site, "manage.microsoft.com" I am redirected to our companies sing-signon portal which is expected. When I login there it attempt to connect what I think is "manage.microsoft.com" but the
    page never loads.
    Earlier I was able to get to our Companies Portal but there was no option to "Install a Profile" onto the device.
    The Intune Service Dashboard is reporting issues so I am wondering if this is part of the cause.  However when I was able to connect I still did not have any options to install a profile onto the device.
    We are utilizing Intune with Configuration Manager 2012 R2.
    Thoughts or comments are greatly appreciated.
    Cheers

    Hi Jörgen,
    Thank you for the response.  I am able to bring up my company portal page now via the iOS browser which looks like the area to install the managed profile, however their is no option on the screen to "Install".
    When I look at my Intune admin portal, the Enterprise Mobility Suite selection boxes are greyed out and it does not appear from the console I have any options to enable this for my user account.  I am thinking this is the reason
    I am not getting any options to install the manage profiles.  We are integrated with SCCM 2012R2, and I have configured the Intune subscription inside of SCCM and have added the site system roles to the server as well.
    I think part of the issue is we recently enrolled in the Enterprise Mobility Suite and we had a trial of Intune which has expired.  I do have the option in the portal to enable "Microsoft Intune" for my account
    but that service is expired and should have been replaced with the Enterprise Mobility Suite but those options are currently greyed out.
    I don't know if this is going to prompt a call to MS Support to see what is going on with our account.
    Thank You

  • Intune Company Portal application wants to install certificate during Android Enrollment

    I just tried to enroll an Android device into Intune. When I login into the Intune Company Portal application for the first time it prompts me to install a certificate and choose VPN or Wifi as Credential Use.
    Why is the Intune Portal application trying to install a certificate for VPN or Wifi use when I haven't setup or deployed any policies regarding VPN or Wifi certificates?

    This is our workplace join certificate that shows up on Non-Knox platforms.  The name and cert use info is not controlled by us.  You can ignore the VPN or WIFI information, it's just how Android catagorizes their certs.

  • My iTunes installation via Windows 7 does not install the Apple Mobile Device Support file

    I have followed several suggestions to resolve the problem caused because of my update of iTunes does not install the Apple Mobile Device Support folder, thus making it impossible for me to sync my iPhone 4S to my desktop version of iTunes. I have tried to install the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi file and it almost completes the installation before "rolling back" the entire process and giving me a message that there was a problem with the installation. Has anyone been able to solve this problem. I use Windows 7. I have seem some :"solutions" that seem to work for some people, but not for me, and evidently not for many others? Finally, would it matter if I installed Safari on my desktop and tried to install iTunes using Safari?

    Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
    Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
    Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
    Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
    Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
    (If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
    Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
    If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • ModernUI app fail to install from Intune Company Portal on Windows 8.1 Enteprise domain joined

    i know that using sideloading keys are required in all scenario's whenever i want to deploy modernUI apps to windows 8.1 devices. Using a domain joined enterprise Windows 8.1 device it should be required as i've heard. However, i'm looking for the exact
    technical requirements to be able to deploy a modernUI app through the company portal from Intune. So far i know the following requirements:
    device must be domain joined enterprise version OR use sideloading keys;
    the device must be joined to the domain that is dirsynced with the Intune subscription;
    AllowAllTrustedApps reg key must be set to 1 OR configure the corresponding GPO;
    a Microsoft account is required to access the Windows Store;
    a Windows Intune subscription user account is required to enroll the device into Windows Intune;
    the modernUI (demo) app must be visible in the company portal;
    app must be signed and the device must trust the corresponding cert OR use a developer sideloading key: Show-WindowsDeveloperLicenseRegistration;
    does someone have a good overview of all requirements in relation to deploying modernUI apps?
    I find it very confusing when to determine which requirements apply. thanks in advance!

    If you have a domain joined Windows 8.x Enterprise workstation, you do not need the sideloading keys. You only need sideloading keys for Windows 8 Pro, RT etc.
    It will install as long as:
    Domain joined
    AllowAllTrustedApps - GPO or Local Policy enabled
    Signed by a trusted certificate

  • Itunes does not install Error - Apple Mobile device failed to start?

    How to fix installing problem with itunes - Error message is Apple Mobile Device failed to start

  • Sharing a "Flattened" copy of a fillable PDF from a mobile device - Reader App

    Ever since the latest iOS update, our fillable reader extended PDF's are not working properly in the Reader App. I created fillable forms and save as a "reader extended" file. When we open the file on the Reader App, we can fill in the form and sign, but when we go to email the form it attaches the blank form to an email. It does not offer the "Share Original" or "Flatten copy" option before going into the email. We use this feature for mobile devices to sign contracts on site vs. going on a laptop. If I open a normal PDF file, a non fillable form, I can email the original or flattended copy from the reader app but this is not needed on a normal PDF. How can I share the flattened copy of a fillable form from the reader app on the iPhone/iPAD? Is this issue going to be resolved or are there settings I need to change in the PDF file before saving it for reader extended?

    Thank you for reporting the issues with Reader Extended PDFs.
      "when we go to email the form it attaches the blank form to an email. It does not offer the "Share Original" or "Flatten copy" option before going into the email."
    As you mentioned, Reader for iOS version 11.2 does not offer the E-mail Document dialog with the two options for Reader Extended PDFs.  We will investigate if this is a new defect that was accidentally introduced in Reader 11.2.
    Regarding the other issue, please note that a PDF form that is sent as "Original" does not become a blank form.
    The problem is that many non-Adobe PDF viewers, such as Apple Mail (the default email app on iOS) preview feature, Apple iBooks, Apple Preview for Mac OS X (desktop), do not render form fields or comments correctly.
    A workaround is to make sure to open an "Original" (non-flatten) PDF document in Adobe Reader.  For example, an email recipient (who views your "Original" PDF form in Apple Mail on iOS) can long press (press and hold) the preview of the PDF form and select Open in Adobe Reader.
    We will get back to you on the issue with the E-mail Document dialog soon.

    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support

  • The App Store keeps notifying app update that I've deleted

    It doesn't seems to cripple the system or anything, but it is so annoying. Not very Apple-like. I have deleted the Evernote App, empty the trash. The App Store keeps notifying the Evernote update. If it's a bug, I hope they will fix it soon.
    Oh, and yes, I downloaded the app from App Store, not somewhere else.

    Have you got any external disk connected to your Mac? If you have an external disk, disconnect it and check if the Evernote update shows up.
    If not, you have Evernote on the external disk, so go there and delete it

  • Enroll Windows 8.1 Pro Company Portal fails

    Hi,
    I'm experienceing a problem when rolling out the company portal through "With device managment turned on, your IT admin can setup apps and services for you" from the Workplace configuration wizard.
    My environment consist with an SCCM 2012 R2 installation and a Intune subscription. I do not use Dirsync or ADFS, it is for an POC. Everthing works fine, until it show the screen "Allow apps and services from IT admin", when I mark the checkbox
    at "I agree" and click on "Turn on", the wizard is closing, and a few seconds later, I able to start the process allover again.
    I didn't get any Information shown, why this will not work. Does there exists some logfiles which could help me through the troubleshooting process?
    Thanks for any suggestions

    No sorry, this is not true.
    It didn't worked as we added the *.onmicrosoft.com UPN to our Domain, and changed the UPN-Suffix on the User account. A Login with this UPN-Suffix was not possible. Then we added a public UPN-Suffix to our Intune subscription, and also to the Domain and
    User Account, and it worked afterwards.
    So: A Login with [email protected] does not work. A Login with
    [email protected] does work. this is only true for Intune integrated with SCCM, and reflects my experiences of the last days...

  • Company Portal issue with Windows 8.1/IE11?

    Hi,
    I recently started to create an Intune environment for my company. We are migrating to Windows 8.1, however I found some issues concerning Windows 8.1 and the Intune company portal.
    I'm currently using a Windows 7 laptop, and I don't have any problems whatsoever to interact with Windows Intune. However, every user with Windows 8.1 (and automatically IE 11) cannot see any apps deployed in the company portal. I do know for sure they are
    correctly deployed for these users, but they cannot access the apps. They only see the standard (empty) company portal. Is this a known issue?
    I think it's very strange because the admin panel can detect the OS as Windows 8.1, but when these computers access a site like: supportdetails dotCOM, the OS recognized by the browser is Windows NT. Is this normal as wel?
    I really hope you can help me with this issue, because we would like to go in production with Windows Intune fairly shortly.
    Kind Regards,
    Tijl

    Hi,
    Has there been any progression with this known issue yet?
    Its not an option for me to have 400 users at this customer to create microsoft accounts for themselves.
    Also it does not seem possible to to link primary device in the company portal(at least not from this one http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=44997).
    This linking is possible to do in IE11.
    So we are stuck using IE11 to link user devices and then the sideloaded company portal to deploy applications.
    Any solution for this? Or is it not supposed to work without Microsoft Account?

  • Installation of application from Company Portal stops at 50%

    Hello,
    As stated in topic. I deployed application to company portal client on my test laptop and when I try to install it as a user, installation stops at 50%.
    Some application will install (they are visible in add/remove programs) but installation from company portal hangs at 50% some apps won't even install.
    Do anyone have any idea how to resolved such issue?
    I'll be grateful for help

    I believe that the first 50% of the installation Windows Intune is only downloading the application files and saves them to a temp directory.
    Usually if the application installation goes to 50% then "hangs" or fail could be due to bad silent switches or a exitcode that does not match what you specified for that application.
