Does ipad mini do more than the apple kindle fire hd?

We have 2 Kinfle Fire HD's and freceived an apple ipad mini as a gift.  What is the difference between the 2 apple products?

They are different in some ways and similar in others, just like computer at run Mac OS vs. computers that run Windows. Now that you have one of each, you can use them and compare. You might want to start by looking at the manual for the iPad:

Best of luck.

I have an IPad mini and I changed the Apple ID and the password almost one year ago and, for a while, a message asking me to sign in to ICloud pops- up constantly. My ICloud account is registered with an old email address and password. I do not remember the password to my ICloud account, and ID address that my ICloud account is registered under is an old email adress which is deleted right now (the old mail account is deleted). I don’t have a rescue email adress and I don’t know the answers to the security questions, so I have no way of changing the ICloud password. A message asking me to sign in to ICloud pops up constantly, but I always just hit cancel. However, now I am unable to access Find My IPad. How do I get my ICloud account changed and registered to be under my current Apple ID (email) and password? It is possible to set the device as New Ipad?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do.

plz help my ipad mini is just bringing the apple logo again and again and it is not working plz help

If the reset doesn't work, you have to force iPad into Recovery Mode
    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
    3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
    4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
    5. Release Home button.
    ON COMPUTER
    6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
    7. Select "Restore iPad"...
    Note:
    1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
    2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
    3. Repeat the process if necessary.

  • My iPad mini is stuck on the Apple symbol. I tried a reset and it shut down. But when I turned it back on the problem persists thanks for any help

my iPad mini is stuck on the Apple symbol. I have tried a reset and it shut down. When I turned it back on, the problem persists. Thanks for any help.

If the reset doesn't help, the next step would be to restore the device to factory settings using iTunes on a computer. If you can backup the iPad first, do so and then restore to factory settings. If it all works out properly, you can restore the backup after you finish. If you didn't or can't backup, the iPad will be erased when you restore to factory settings.
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support
IF you can't restore that way, the next step would be to try using recovery mode.

  • IPad mini - Endless Loop - In the apple logo screen clears and restarts

    Hi guys, good afternoon, okay?
I have a mini iPad which is just restarting. He arrives at the black screen with the logo, the mace, and restarts.
It all started when I installed an app that can not even remember the name, then he started to reboot from time to time. The night I turned off the machine when I sleep and after that started this infinite loop.
    I've tried:
    * Restore Mode (When will start the restore process, iTunes can not communicate with the iPad, because is restarting).
    * Reset
    * Leave the battery runs out (It was about 2 months without charge, with the battery already exhausted, yet the charging signal appeared when trying to connect, and today when I try the loop again persisted).
The unit was in the last version of iOS and without jailbreak. It's a 32gb wifi iPad mini.
Does anyone have any idea to help me? Thank you!

  • Ipod wont turn on any more than the apple symbol

I have had my ipod for about 4 1/2 months. My music began to shut off randomly. I would be playing music and i would just stop and go to my home screen. I then proceeded to turn off my ipod. I figured that if i turned it off then back on it would maybe start to work. I turned it off and went to turn it back on and it went to the apple symbol screen and was stuck. The ipod turns it self off after about 1 minute after i attempt to tun it on. I have tried charging it and having it plugged in but nothing seems to work. Please Help.

    Have you tried reset?

If itunes recognizes it, then you can try a restore.

  • Does Snow Leopard support more than the originally recommended 2 GB RAM?

I have a MacBook Pro I bought in 2006 and it has 1.5 GB RAM. I know, not the best combo. So I want to upgrade it.
Are the specs for 2GB max RAM suggested for Tiger or Leopard only?
Would it make a difference to bump the RAM up to 4GB on my old machine now that I have Snow Leopard?

If it's a Core Duo model the max is 2 GBs. If it's a Core 2 Duo model the max is 4 GBs but only 3 GBs will be usable so you can install 3 GBs or 4 GBs with the same net result.
These limits are hardware determined. The OS does not affect it in any way.

  • Why does blast internet cost more than the tv/internet

This is absolutely ridiculous.  I am paying twice as much for twice as less.  I don't have other choices of ISPs in my areas otherwise I'd leave immediately.  I have had constant disconnections with Xfinity several service calls and no resolution.  This is one of the worst ISPs I have ever had to deal with and they have the balls to charge a ridiculous price where as in other parts of the world they pay 15$ for 10x the speed I have.

I have never received a private message from you.  Today is 8/11/15 and I am still having connectivity issues.  Three technicians were sent to my home none resolved the issues.  You people have failed the Comcast Guarantee and I have not received the 40$ that's part of that guarantee.  I visited the service center near me because I have not received any help from any of your communication methods.  When I went there I was rudely greeted by Gina who told me the service center only provides modems and refused to talk to me.  The situation was so surreal the manager had to stop helping his customer to assist me and make an appointment with a 4th technician.  I have also been promised callbacks from supervisors and never received them.  Throughout this time you people have lied to me constantly and made it extremely inconvenient and time consuming to even attempt to resolve my issue.  I have never been treated so horribly as a customer in my entire life.  I even filed a report with the FCC but your Executive Relations person Christina M. had the ticket closed even though I still am having connectivity issues.  Two of the technicians gave me their # and email yet I cannot send any email to them because comcast servers refuse to complete the request and none of the phone # work.

  • The left side of my iPad mini is darker than the right side.

I have done a hard reset and adjusted brightness but it doesn't help. Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Make an appointment at your local Apple store, take it in and have them look at it. In case they decide to replace it, you may want to do a sync and backup before you go.

  • HT2731 can i have more than one apple id on a computer? As when we go away we want to facetime from our macpro to our main mac at home and both are registered under the same apple ID. Thanks

Can you have more than one apple id on a computer. We are going away and want to facetime from our macpro to the mac computer at home but both are registered under the same apple ID. What should we do ?

I will share with you what I have done to manage this with my family.  While the solution isn't without flawes, it seems to do the trick.  First, you need to have one person who is managing the synching of everyone's devices.  In my family, I have three iphones, about to be four, and five ipads.  We all synch to the same apple ID to allow one another to take seemless advantage of our Itunes, which is on our Imac.  To synch individual music or video interests, we simply select which playlists we want and manually synch that way.  A couple of us use imatch and the cloud to make the entire library accessable as well.  With respect to the imessage, mail, contacts, etc. we each have a gmail account for our individual emails, contacts etc.  So for instance, my forth grade daughter has a gmail account that we choose to synch her contacts, calendar, etc to and then that is also the account where she receives her imessages from on her ipad and itouch. My son, who has an iphone and ipad, does the same thing, but under settings, he goes to imessage and checks his phone number and his email as his preferred way to receive imessages and texts.  My wife and I do the same thing.  To avoid having everyone see one anothers contracts etc, we only synch contacts from our individual email accounts.  Here is the downfall to this:  When you update your phone or add a new device, apple always wants to reset everyone's facetime and imessage settings and then low and behold we are all receiving imessages from one another's friends etc.  To work around this, I simply take each of their devices and go to their imessage settings and only check the email and phone numbers relative to their devices.  I dont' know is this is the best solution, but it seems to work for us.

  • Can you sign in with more than one apple id on an iPad?

Can you sign in with more than one apple id on an iPad?

Only one account can be signed in at a time (via Settings > Store), and if you turn on automatic downloads and/or download past purchases from an account then you risk tying the iPad to that account for 90 days : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627

How come although iPads are getting more powerful, the iOS apps from apple are so mediocre and just not that great? We spend all this money for the latest ipad and all we get is these $5 video and music apps from apple. Why create the iOS platform and only offer so so apps like IMovie and GarageBand ? While other developers are offering much better apps like pinnacle studio for video, Cubasis and Auria for music production, apple has not showed much growth in terms of innovation. While there's nothing wrong with making an app like GarageBand where "anyone " can make a song, how about something for real musicians or an app not so basic as it get for video editing? After spending 0ver $700 on an ipad I'd be willing to spend more than $5 for a better video or audio app.

First, try a system reset although I can't give you any confidence.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

  • Is the resolution on the iPad mini retina better than any other retina?

The 1st gen iPad mini had the same resolution as ipad 2. Becasue the mini is smaller than the 2 the pixels were denser.
So my question is... Is the resolution on the iPad mini retina better or denser than other retina screens found on other devices?
    Thanks
    Lionel

Try resetting the iPad (hold the home and power buttons down until the Apple logo appears).
