  • I have an iPod touch 4th gen. why does it show the wrong album art only on my ipod and not on itunes? Is there any way I can fix it?

I have an ipod touch 4th gen. why does it show the wrong album artwork on my ipod and it's fine on itunes. why is that and is there any way to fix it? please help!

I think it can't find the right or any artwork and ends up putting junk in there.
And can happen with artist and other tags.
probably fine with commercial media but otherwise....? I think you have to manaully go in and edit
I also don't like how it handles and stores non-Apple iTunes store content.

There is no supported method to "downgrade" iOS on any device.  If you update, you will get the latest iOS for your device, which will be iOS 6.1.3.  You cannot go backwards to iOS 4.3
If you have never backed up in either iCloud or iTunes, then upgrading to iOS 6.1.3 will involve restoring your device as part of the upgrade.  Without a backup to restore from, you will loose everything that is on it.
You should first connect to iTunes with your computer, sync your device without upgrading and create an up to date backup of everything.  Then use the upgrade option in iTunes to update your iOS.
However, if the dock device strictly requires iOS 4.3, it will not work, as you cannot downgrade iOS.  There simply is no mechanism from Apple to do that.

  • I have an ipod touch 4th Gen that everything was working perfectly. After the last update of iOs5, the battery have charge 20 minutes. Even after the correction of the iOS 5.0.1 the battery have the same 20 minutes. What I can do?

I have an ipod touch 4th Gen that everything was working perfectly. After the last update of iOs 5, the battery have charge 20 minutes. After the correction of the iOS 5.0.1 the battery have the same 20 minutes. What I can do? Thanks

Same thing here. Try putting the brightness down all the way (its hard to see at first but you will get used to it) and one more thing is that close all you open apps. So to do that you have to click the home button twice (after you put your passcode in) and you will see some apps in the bottom. Hold it until there is a red - sign. click all of them so they go away. This does not delete your apps it just makes your ipod better.

  • I got my screen fixed and the day i got my ipod touch 4th gen back the wifi doesnt work unless i hold it right up to my router. Roughly every foot I move back it loses a bar and if i leave the room it doesn't even have a signal completely.

I got my screen fixed and the day i got my ipod touch 4th gen back the wifi doesnt work unless i hold it right up to my router. Roughly every foot I move back it loses a bar and if i leave the room it doesn't even have a signal completely. Could the screen replacement have tampered with the wifi capability? Also if it helps I switched internet providers and during the time when my ipod was being fixed a new router was installed and it doesnt seem to work unless directly infront of my ipod.

Take it back to where you had the screen replaced. They messed up the connection to the wifi antenna

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store..

  • I have a iPod Touch 4th Gen. Would not turn on. I try doing a reset (Power/Lock and Home for 10 sec), still nothing.

I have a iPod Touch 4th Gen. It ran out of battery. So I charged it and it wouldn't show the charging sign. After a few hours, I tried turning on the device, it would not work. I try doing a reset (Power/Lock and Home for 10 sec), still nothing.
I've tried plugging it in to my computer.
    Used different chargers, usb cables.
    Try doing reset.
I did not drop it recently or drop the device into water. It was working fine before.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • I have an Ipod Touch 4th gen and Facetime isn't in my settings or as an app. How do I get it back?

I have an Ipod Touch (4th Generation) and FaceTime isn't in my settings or shows up as an app. I don't have Restricitions. I want FaceTime back so how do I get it? I searched my whole Ipod for FaceTime and there weren't any results. I used Voice Control and it said that I had to enable FaceTime before I can make video calls.

Are you saying that you do not have the Restriction set that hides FaceTime?
Did you have FT before on this iPod?
iPods officially sold in one of the middle Eastern countries that prohibit FT will not have FT and there is no way to get it on the iPod.
    Otherwise:
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • I have an iPod touch 4th gen. iTunes sync hasn't been working.

I have an iPod touch 4th generation. I have the latest version of iTunes but it keeps getting stuck on this one song. The song is "Homewrecker" by Marina and the Diamonds. After signing up for their mailing list on the official artist website you get a free MP3 download of that song. Well, it comes up on my computer but won't sync to my iPod. It takes forever and acts like it's finished downloading but then iTunes freezes. If I finally get it to finish the sync, it doesn't sync the song to my iPod. There is an exclamation point that pops up by my device sign; when I click on it iTunes says the file "cannot be read." Also, I've noticed apps crashing more frequently. Is this because they're optimized for devices aboves 4th gen. with iOS 7? I can only have iOS 6 on my iPod. I've had it around 3 years now and it usually works just fine. Is anybody else experiencing that message in iTunes or apps crashing frequently? Any and all suggestions will be gladly appreciated!

This "There is an exclamation point that pops up by my device sign; when I click on it iTunes says the file "cannot be read." " means there is a prob;lem with the song file. Delete and reimport/redownload.
    For apps crashing:
Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.
    - Next
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Does "Itunes Backup" Backup everything including photos and Music?

Well I started another thread saying that my Ipod touch keeps freezing asking if anyone knows how to fix it so I don't have to send it in but looks like I'm not getting an answer so before I do send it I was wondering...
Does "Itunes back up" back up photos, music, and apps? And if not how do I get that back?
    Thanks.

Yes iTunes back all of your listed types up.
iTunes will back up the following information
Address Book and Address Book favorites.
App Store Application data (except the Application itself, its tmp and Caches folder).
    Application settings, preferences, and data.
    Autofill for webpages.
    CalDAV and subscribed calendar accounts.
    Calendar accounts.
    Calendar events.
    Call history.
Camera Roll (Photos, screenshots, images saved, and videos taken. Videos greater than 2 GB are backed up with iOS 4.0 and later.)
Note: For devices without a camera, Camera Roll is called Saved Photos.
    In-app purchases.
Keychain (this includes email account passwords, Wi-Fi passwords, and passwords you enter into websites and some other applications. If you encrypt the backup with iOS 4 and later, the keychain information is transferred to the new device. With an unencrypted backup, the keychain can only be restored to the same iPhone or iPod touch. If you are restoring to a new device with an unencrypted backup, you will need to enter these passwords again.)
List of External Sync Sources (Mobile Me, Exchange ActiveSync).
Location service preferences for apps and websites you have allowed to use your location.
    Mail accounts.
Managed Configurations/Profiles. When restoring a backup to a different device, all settings related to the configuration profiles will not be restored (accounts, restrictions, or anything else that can be specified through a configuration profile). Note that accounts and settings that are not associated with a configuration profile will still be restored.
Map bookmarks, recent searches, and the current location displayed in Maps.
    Microsoft Exchange account configurations.
Network settings (saved wifi spots, VPN settings, network preferences).
Nike + iPod saved workouts and settings.
    Notes.
    Offline web application cache/database.
Paired Bluetooth devices (which can only be used if restored to the same phone that did the backup).
Safari bookmarks, cookies, history, offline data, and currently open pages.
Saved suggestion corrections (these are saved automatically as you reject suggested corrections).
SMS and MMS (pictures and video) messages.
Trusted hosts that have certificates that cannot be verified.
    Voice memos.
Voicemail token (This is not the Voicemail password, but is used for validation when connecting. This is only restored to a phone with the same phone number on the SIM card).
    Wallpapers.
    Web clips.
    YouTube bookmarks and history.

    Try here:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
If yu can't turn it off, then let the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour try again.
If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and service is required.

  • I have an ipod touch 4th gen will apple buy it back?

i have an ipod touch will apple buy it back?

If you purchased the iPod directly from Apple in the last 14 calendar days, you can return it. Otherwise, no, as lllaass said, Apple will of course not buy it back from you. If you purchased from a dealer, then that dealer's return policy, if any, would apply.
    Regards.

Does the iOS device see the network?
    Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on the router
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. (Is this wiping) See:
    iOS: How to back up
