The iPod must be on and connected to the internt via wifi. It will locate to the nearest house. For location it uses the location of nearby wiri routers that are in Apple's database.

No. The Find feature requires that the iPod be on, location services is on and wifi on and connected.

No. Nothing in the iTunes App Store that isn't specifically indicated as being for click wheel iPods will work on the iPod classic, and nothing at all will run on a computer.

Today When I tried to open the app store on my ipad I found out that's the store is not working,,, It's giving me the loading screen like for ever without any error message. So I tried my Macbook and my iphone and it was the same,,,, I thought it was from the connection so I tried several different connections and It was the same.
Any Idea what is going on with the app store ?The App Store app on your iPhone in your iPad is a different App Store than the app store app on your Mac. You use the same account for both app stores. So I would guess that the real issue is perhaps something to do with your Home Network. You might try rebooting your modem/router. Also, turn off any antiviral software, firewalls or apps such as Little Snitch.

Using ios6 on my iPad I can no longer swipe to hide an app in the App Store. Still works on all other ios and devices. Anyone find the same?

I'm thinking the issue lies on http://www.autotirecarcare.com if there is supposed to be a redirect. The iphone 5 has a much larger pixel density, so when you create a script that redirects based on a pixel height and width, the iphone looks more like a PC, especially the 5 at 1126x640.

Find my friends Icon disappeared after upgrade to ios 8. I tried restarting as well as reinstalled the app but its not working. I can find it in Usage, but not in spot light. Pla help!!
I have exactly the same problem on a 4S on iOS 8. Have tried uninstalling, deleting FMF from backup, resetting phone and restoring from backup, but the problem remains. Sometimes the icon appears on a backup Home screen in iTunes, but it never appears on the phone itself. The app is accessible by going to the store, purchases and opening it from there. The app appears to have been running the whole time, but becomes invisible anytime I return to the home screen.

For Find My Phone to work, you must first turn it on in Settings > iCloud before the iPhone is stolen, and the iPhone MUST be turned on and connected with the Internet. If not, it is not possible to locate it. Report the theft to the police, change all passwords associated with accounts on the iPhone, contact your carrier in case the can blacklist it.

It means the iPhone is off-line, but can also mean it has been restored to factory condition in wich case it will not show on line.

The Find My iPhone APP has nothing to do with setting up the service on you ipod. It's used to find other los devices.
You needed to turn on Find My iPhone service in Settings>iCloud (near bottom of page). Without that you cannot locate the device.
