Hi ,
How we take weblogic domain as backup.
Regards
Madhu

zip the domain folder under user_projects. pack and unpack command may help too.

  • Domains Juggler, Domain Backup.

For those use Domains Juggler: I updated Domains Juggler, why? you ask.
Because some people still use it, and it allows a bit simpler way to create new Domain.sites.
    http://hac.i4host.net/ --> iWeb.html
For those use Domain Backup: Domain Backup ONLY copies ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites.
Domain Backup will not work properly if you start iWeb by double click other Domain.sites outside of ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/
I'm looking at the solution on how to back up multiple Domain.sites. All inputs are welcome.

Try this and send an email.

  • Default domain backup

    Hi everyone,
I'm running "Oracle Communications Messaging Server 7u4-24.01(7.0.4.24.0) 64bit (built Nov 17 2011)" and i have 3 domains configured:
    mydomain.com (default domain)
    doma.mydomain.com
    domb.mydomain.com
I need to configure backup-groups.conf in order to have backups per domain basis and my conf file looks like this:
    bash-3.2# cat /msgsr/config/backup-groups.conf
    groupa=[^@].*
    groupb=.*@doma.mydomain.com
    groupc=.*@domb.mydomain.com
imsbackup works fine on groupb and groupc but i can't backup just the default domain (groupa) probably due to the wrog regexp i configured for groupa.
My goal in groupa was to backup all mailboxes except @doma.mydomain.com and @domb.mydomain.com (Default domain mailboxes are stored without domain part).
    Any ideas?

    Solved...........
I reconfigured my backup-groups.conf in this way:
    groupb=.*@doma.mydomain.com
    groupc=.*@domb.mydomain.com
    groupa=.*
And now groupa define all mailboxes not in doma.mydomain.com and domb.mydomain.com.

  • Migrate from whs11: how do non-domain backups work?

Hello, I'm looking at moving from whs11 to wse12r2. The main question I have is how do I handle backups for non-domain joined machines. Is this supported/seamless?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Do you mean that you want to migrate the backup saved on whs11 to wse12r2 and the backup can still be restored by the wse12r2? If so, you cannot use the backup because System State Recovery is only supported on the same operating system instance. It is not
supported on a reinstalled operating system on the same or different hardware.
For more detailed information, please refer to the article below:

  • Domain Controller SystemState backup failing on 3 servers

    Hi,
I've been puzzling over this for a few weeks - getting a bit desperate now... Seen a few similar issues on the forums, but no definitive answer that works...
I have 3 2012R2 domain controllers - 2 are new, clean build, no AV installed, built in the last month and have latest updates installed.
Windows Server backup installed on all 3 and is failing with same error on all 3 when attempting to do a system state backup.
This is what I'm running from an elevated command prompt...
    C:\Windows\system32>wbadmin start systemstatebackup -backuptarget:e:
Also fails exactly the same from the GUI.
Windows Server Backup Log has this error:
Error in backup of C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft-windows-alttab_31bf3856ad364e35_6.3.9600.16384_none_599bb25393087eb6\AltTab.ptxml during read: Error [0x80070005] Access is denied.

In the Event Log I have:
    Event 517
The backup operation that started at '‎2015‎-‎01‎-‎05T07:30:13.107907800Z' has failed with following error code '0x80780049' (None of the items included in backup were backed up.). Please review the event details for a solution, and then rerun the backup
operation once the issue is resolved.
Same error is present on all DC's, all 3 are failing on files in the winsxs folder - different files on each.
As per a previous article I read, on one of the servers I have re-applied permissions to the WinSxS folder, which didn't make any difference.
I cannot see any locks on the winsxs files using sys internals process explorer.
Interestingly though, system state backup did work before windows update applied huge amount of updates straight after the build.
At this point, I have no good backups of AD - I have run out of options - all assistance appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Charles.

  • AGPM 4.0 SP2 - AGPM Service Account Member of Backup Operators

    Hi all,
I've installed AGPM without having the Service Account in the group of Backup Opperators, and I get no error or sth. like that.
I have, maybe a stupid question, but why does the AGPM Service Account need the group membership of the Domain "Backup Operators".
    Thx,
    kwaks
    Greets kwaks

    From
AGPM Least Privilege Scenario on the Ask the Directory Services Team blog:
    Backup Operators
Some of the operations that occur in AGPM mimic the functionality found in backup software. For example, the AGPM service may need to change the owner of a Group Policy object. Granting ownership to a security principal different from yourself
is a privileged operations. Including the AGPM service account in the Backup Operators group provides it with the privilege to grant ownership.
Backup Operators is a well-known security identifier found on each Windows Server. The AGPM Service attempts to change ownership on Group Policy objects, which are stored on the domain controller. The ownership change operation occurs at the
domain controller, so you need to make sure the AGPM Service account is in the
Backup Operators group on the domain controllers. Membership to the
Backup Operators account on the AGPM Server is
    not required.

  • Backup-GPO -All, can this be filtered?

    Hi guys,
I'm using the following to backup all the GPO's in the domain:
    $Backups = Backup-GPO -All -Path $SubBackupFolder -Domain $DomainFQDN -Comment "Add comment here"
However, I do not want to backup all the GPO's. I want to backup only about 20 Gpo's found inside 2 OU's. Is this achievable via backup-gpo? Rather than the -All parameter can I instead say -All that are inside these 2 OU's. All the GPO's I want to backup
contain the words "win7" somewhere within the GPO name if that helps.
I'm using Ian's script "Comprehensive Group Policy Backup Script" that performs a backup and there's a script that imports the exported data as well. Keeps links, gpo settings, delegation, etc etc..
Thank you so much for your help.

    Hi Mike,
Thanks for the response. I think I understand what you're saying, I now need to find out how to do it. I'm a complete scripting beginner. I can read scripts but cant write, I'll read up on filtering with Where and piping. BTW here is the complete script
    I'm working with:
    <#
    .SYNOPSIS
Backs up all GPOs from a specified domain and includes additional GPO information.
    .DESCRIPTION
The script backs up all GPOs in a target domain and captures additional GPO management information, such
as Scope of Management, Block Inheritance, Link Enabled, Link Order, Link Enforced and WMI Filters.
The backup can then be used by a partner script to mirror GPOs in a test domain.
    Details:
    * Creates a XML file containing PSCustomObjects used by partner import script
    * Creates a XML file WMI filter details used by partner import script
    * Creates a CSV file of additional information for readability
    * Additional backup information includes SOM (Scope of Management) Path, Block Inheritance, Link Enabled,
Link Order', Link Enforced and WMI Filter data
    * Each CSV SOM entry is made up of "DistinguishedName:BlockInheritance:LinkEnabled:LinkOrder:LinkEnforced"
    * Option to create a Migration Table (to then be manually updated)
    Requirements:
    * PowerShell GroupPolicy Module
    * PowerShell ActiveDirectory Module
    * Group Policy Management Console
    .EXAMPLE
    .\BackUp_GPOs.ps1 -Domain wintiptoys.com -BackupFolder "\\wingdc01\backups\"
This will backup all GPOs in the domain wingtiptoys.com and store them in a date and time stamped folder
    under \\wingdc01\backups\.
    .EXAMPLE
    .\BackUp_GPOs.ps1 -Domain contoso.com -BackupFolder "c:\backups" -MigTable
This will backup all GPOs in the domain contoso.com and store them in a date and time stamped folder
under c:\backups\. A migration table, MigrationTable.migtable, will also be created for manual editing.
    .OUTPUTS
Backup folder name in the format Year_Month_Day_HourMinuteSecond
    GpoDetails.xml
    WmiFilters.xml
    GpoInformation.csv
    MigrationTable.migtable (optional)

  • Bug in Configuration Wizard

    Hello,
when using the "Configuration Wizard" to extend an existing domain, then the server will not start. The reason is in that the wizard changes the poinbase port number, but badly patches several configuration files. If you fix them manually, the server will start.
    Details:
I use the "WebLogic Portal 10.0 MP1" suite. I tried to extend the "workshop" domain to support "Workshop for WebLogic Platform" or "WebLogic Portal" BEA products, in both cases with the same wrong result. After that, when you compare the domain backup with the patched version, you see that the pointbase port number has changed, at least. However, the old port number still can be found in several files inside the domain directory. If you remove it from there, the server is able to start. I also removed some other evidently badly patched pieces of configuration code in the neighbourhood of the port numbers.
    Martin.

Martin.I recommend opening a support case. The bugzilla system does not yet
cover problems with the configuration wizard.

  • Disaster Recovery on another Sun Server

I have a question in regards to disaster recovery of Sun servers. We have a client that hosting applications within Sun T platform which utilizes LDOM configuration. These boxes host around five guests.
Currently we use a software called EMC HomeBase(http://www.emc.com/backup-and-recovery/homebase/homebase.htm) to enhance our DR recovery by profiling the Sun box and transmitting that profile to our DR vendor. DR vendor in turn with help from EMC will install the OS, patch level and apply that profile to setup the system with NIC information, file systems and other components so we would only
need to restore our data from NETBACKUP and don't do any system recovery.
Unfortunately, EMC does not support LDOMs nor containers. Now my question is if Sun has a way around this? Please note that the servers will be different models at DR. for example T5220 to a T5440 or V890 to V490.

It'd be rather easy to manually install same LDOM configuration on DR site... all EMC seems to be doing is getting the profile & then someone is creating setup manually...
    Anyways... here you go:
Backup & Recovery of guest domain
Archive and backup the guest domain configuration:
    ldm list-constraints -x <ldom> > <ldom>.xml
Backup the guest domains over the network with backup software as regular server
Restore the guest domain configuration, assuming that your VSW and VDS resources are available:
    ldm add-domain -i <ldom>.xml
Make sure that you have enough VCPU, MAU, and Memory to boot your guest domain.
Jumpstart guest domain and install backup client. Restore data from backup.
    Backup LDOM configuration
You can take the backup of the configuration using "ldm add-spconfig saveconfigurtion" command which will store in SP of the server.
For taking the backup of the individual domain use "ldm ls-constrants >> filename.xml" it will give the xml output just redirect it to a file.
While creating the domain again use "ldm create ldomname -f filename.xml"
You can not create control domain by the above procedure we hve to configure manualy or even if your control domain crashed install new OS and install LDOM Manager in the Base OS create /etc/hostname.vsw0 & vsw1 files poweroff the server from SP. set bootmode config=saveconfiguration
How to backup the primary domain
Backup the LDM db files in: /var/opt/SUNWldm
Archive and backup the primary domain configuration:
    ldm list-constraints -x primary > primary.xml
Backup the primary domains over the network with backup software as regular server.
    How to recover primary domain
    Update firmware
Install backup client & LDM software
    Restore /var/opt/SUNWldm
    Start up LDM services
If all goes well, the LDM config will be read and you will be in initial configuration mode. Save the config to the hypervisor and
reboot. If not, parse the primary.xml file to recreate the primary domain configuration, save config, and reboot.
Restore guest domain configs and data. Then bring up guest domains.

  • Insufficient permissions for system restart

    Hi All,
We are receiving the following error when attempting to restart a domain controller, after MS updates have been installed, from within SCCM 2012 R2 CU1 software center.
    "Insufficient permissions for System Restart"
"Restarting this computer is only allowed for users with administrative permissions, or your IT department does not allow you to restart this computer"
The user on the domain controller can restart the server using a normal windows shutdown procedure outside of the software center, as they are in the Active Directory domain "backup operators" group.
The domain controller is running server 2008 R2 SP1.  The SCCM 2012 infrastructure is running R2 CU1 with the latest client installed on the domain controller.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
    Regards PowerShell90

    Hi Garth,
    Thanks for the quick reply
Domain administrators can install the updates and reboot within software centre without a problem.  No restrictions have been put in place for the domain controllers or backup operators.  We allow the Microsoft default option to allow members of
the domain "Backup Operators" to shut down domain controllers.  They are able to do this on the DC, but they get an error when trying to complete this through SCCM 2012 R2 CU1 software centre.  I can't understand why?

  • STMS - transport problem

    Hi,
We have a DEV and QAS sap systems and the transport system . They have the usr/sap/trans/data and usr/sap/trans/cofiles shared also we have a asolution manager sap system.
We have configured the stms in the solution manager as domain backup and as domain controller is the DEV system. Then if you try to transport a TO from DEV to QAS from the solution manager it seems that is ok , no error appear but the problem is that when you go to QAS although the TO seems to be there the changes are not there so it seems as if the TO is empty.
    Could someone help us?
    Thnaks a lot

  • Unknow Error: Tried all suggestions

For the past two days, I have tried to publish to my. iWeb pages and I receive the following error:
    Publish Error.
    An Unknown error occurred.
I have tried opening the package contents of my domain and trashed:
PrePublishState.plist (this turns the icons blue, but I still cannot publish) and assessts (I replaced with backups when this did not work).
Under the library folder preferences, I tried trashing the apple.iWeb.plist and apple.DotMacSync.plist (again I had backups).
I have a domain backup on a CD too.
I have rebooted; ran the activity monitor (where I see small red bits); checked keychains a ( appears to be fine); I tried uploading to iDisk and that's fine too; republished all pages to Mac. It seemed to save, but not to publish. Nothing on the actual site updates.
Any clues? I did try the suggestions at: iWeb Help: http://karreth.com/iweb/22070571-B241-4C09-840B-288E0EC491F6.html
And if I follow those steps I CAN publish a totally new site, but when I replace my domain and restart, I still get the same error message.
I am not over my disk quota.
    Any help would be appreciated.

iWeb might say there's an unknown error when Publishing but if you open Activity Monitor and look at your Network Traffic you will see that your site is still in fact uploading.
Keep iWeb open until there is no more uploaded network traffic in Activity Monitor then close iWeb and you will see your site is in fact Published. This may take several hours depending on the speed of your network (internet connection), processor, the size of your site and demand on .mac servers both by yourself and others, and/or other factors unmentioned.
After trying the recommended method delete the PrePublish.plist file from your Domain package contents, empty your Browser Cache files and reload your page to view the successful Published changes on your site.
Just remember sometimes when iWeb says there's an error Publishing there really isn't an error. Leave iWeb open until Acivity Monitor says there's no more information being uploaded (remember this may take a whole night)

  • Domain Level and Backup AD as VM?

We're currently running Windows 2012 R2 Essentials (25 users license default) as the DC.  We're thinking to have the 2008R2 as the secondary (backup) DC.  Questions are:
    1. We have AD recycle bin enable, would it cause any issues lower the domain level to 2008R2?
    2. Can 2008R2 run as a VM on a Hyper-V (the host is 2008R2 and part of the domain, but not DC)?
    Thank you,

Yes you can run a VM and promote it as a Domain Controller, however if your domain / forest functional level is set to Windows Server 2012 then you cannot have a Windows Server 2008 R2 as a domain Controller. For this you need to have Windows Server 2008
    R2 domain functional Level.
Domain Functional Level and Forest Functional level cannot be downgraded. if it's already set to Server 2012 functional level then you cannot downgrade it to 2008 R2. Please go ahead and check what's ur Forest & Domain functional Level

Sorry but you are wrong.  I just lowered the levels to 2008R2.

  • Problematic issues in installing backup domain controller on Virtual Machine

    Hello,<o:p></o:p>
I have a physical domain controller - windows Server 2012 R2 Standard installed
in my domain environment and this is a first root domain controller.
I have also Hyper-V Server 2012 R2 installed and joined in that domain.
Now I want to install an additional (Backup) domain controller as a virtual
machine hosted on Hyper-V Server. So while promoting VM as a DC all actions and
steps go well but the problem arise when I press the install button at the end
of the promotion - installation gets stuck in the process of writing some
configuration files on first DC and also in the process of replication. Unfortunately
VM does not promote as a DC and it goes to restart.
The error event log with - NETLOGON source is logged on the virtual machine as
    well.
Do you have some suggestions with this issue, or experience how to resolve this..
    Thanks a lot in advance,
    GMG
    <o:p></o:p>

Now I want to install an additional (Backup) domain controller
There is no backup DC. All DCs are RW except RODCs.
I would recommend first checking the health status of the existing DC using
dcdiag command. Also, please check the IP settings in use: Please make sure that the existing DC has its primary IP address in use and that public DNS servers are set as forwarders and not in IP settings of the DC. For the new DC, please make sure
that it points to the existing DC as primary DNS server and once promoted you can see the recommendations here to update the configuration: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/18513.active-directory-replication-issues-basic-troubleshooting-steps-single-ad-domain-in-a-single-ad-forest.aspx
Please also disable temporary all security software in use on the DCs and make sure that needed ports for AD replication and authentication are not blocked or filtered between the DCs.
