Domain User profile displays special character "?" in command prompt.

HI All,
In our organization, there is one domain user in his profile it shows special character "?". which is stoping JAVA application to Run.
When you see it in windows explorer, c:\users\username. I am not able to see any special character.
But when i am login to command prompt and check it shows c:\users\username?> Here at the end of the user name i am seeing "?". Which is giving problem to run JAVA application. I checked user profile ( Firstname, lastname , givenname)
and there i couldnot able to see any space or special character. The only thing i can see in adsiedit user properties in "TextEncodedORAddress" attribute it shows 
C=US;A= ;P=abc;O=Exchange;S=User?;G=xyz;I=M; 
When i check this properties i can see the same in exchange user properties in X400 address. 
I try to edit and remove the  ? but again it is creating new address with removing ? but reply as it shows with the user name with special character. As i dont know from where it is getting the special character.
Any help for this will be appreciated...

    Insert your font with SE73.
    Then set in sapscript with paragraph or character format so that yoyur charracter is printed with the font you wanted.

  • Project Server 2010 - Updated User Profile - Display Name is Old Name

    Similar to question"It shows the Domain\Logon account instead the User Name (up right corner)" but not quite the same. I also checked on the related topics list and could not find a solution.
    We have a Resource in Project Server 2010 whose name changed. This included a change to her loginID as well as her email address. I went in to PWA > Server Settings > Security > Manage Users and changed the
    Name, Email Address, and User Login Account fields accordingly. When the user goes into Project Server or any of the Project Sites, her old User Name is reflected. If she accesses any other SharePoint site (not associated with Project Server) her
    new name shows up in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
    We do not have AD Synchronization turned on.
    How can we edit the name that appears in the upper right corner of the screen?

    Use Display name shown on right hand site is not from PWA, its from SharePoint User profile. When we make change to user display name, sometime SharePoint Still retain the old account and also add new account. To fix the issue we have to remove the user
    profile from PWA root site.
    Open PWA and navigate to following path
    Site Actions>>Site Settings>>People and Groups
    Click on More from left hand site list of groups
    Select appropriate group,   belongs to the user
    Select the user and from Actions tab remove the user. (you may see two entries old and new), Either you can delete both or click on each account to validate correct user ID.
    Once again navigate to PWA>>Server Settings>>Manage User
    Edit affected user and click on Save
    Have user log on to PWA and validate the result.

  • "File History" won't open/start for domain user profile/account

    I'm trying to use the File History feature in Windows 8.1 to create backups.  When I click "File History" from the control panel, nothing happens.  No new window opens, it just stays at the Control Page.
    I've tried manually going to "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\File History".
    All works fine with local Administrative user profile.
    Why does File History not start/open/run for the domain user account that is in the Administrators Group?

    Base on my lab machine (Windows Server 2008 R2 DC, Windows 8.1 client). either domain admin user or domain standard user, they all work fine.
    What's your environment? Did this issue occur on all domain user or specific one?
    In some cases, File History may conflict with the enterprise policies (like retention policy). I suggest you contact your IT admin to see if there is some other policy to limit this.

  • Display special character on web page

    Hello,
    Is it possible to display the special character < or > in a bsp page ?
    I try to do it but it seams to be interpreted as HTML and nothing is printed.
    In material description in purchase requisition we have < material desc > and I would like to show this in a tableview.
    For the moment I delete the special character in a string variable but it does'nt correspond to my need.

    I can't find the character for 'Arthmetic mean', it's 'x' with a line above, any ideas!?
    I've searched several font (Symbol, Wingdings etc) but didn't found that special character...!

    Oh, I do apologise. I saw the character on wiki and assumed it was a character, rather than a graphic.
    Usually, to create interesting unicode characters, you can combine diacritics. For instance, xbar is X followed by ¯;
    x̄
     (might not display on unsupported browsers)
    However LabVIEW doesn't support this, and will print x ¯ and I can't find any info on how else it might be implemented.
    You might be able to find a hack in this document
    And in the meantime, you can kudo this suggestion

      I have developed a report which display the result in ALV.  I found that the character '&' was converted to another symbol.  Is there any FM or thing that can resolve this?? Besides, when I put '&' in the forum search, it returns error.  Does SAP support special character??

  • Domain User Profiles Unknown??

    I have 6 Panasonic Toughpads and when plugged directly into the network they work fine. However, when disconnected from the network, they will only log into the last user account signed in. when I go to user profiles when connected to the network it shows
    all the user accounts. When I check user profiles while disconnected from the network it shows all profiles as unknown except for the one account I am logged into and the local account on the computer. if I log off after disconnecting the network and try to
    login as someone different it works but if i restart and try to login as someone else it says there are currently no logon servers available, I have to plug into the network sync the profiles and login then again. if i break from the network i cant login as
    any other profile until back on the network. Why aren't the profiles saving?

    We wonder if you are the administrator of your domain.
    "Account Unknown" means that the SID the profile has no longer in Active Directory and some applications or services have open handle on the file; or more simply, the user has been deleted from AD. It is by design. In your case obviously the first
    reason. After restart these account would need be re-verified by domain controller.
    And if you are damain administrator, you also could check if any related group policy has been applied.

  • Publisher 2013 - will not open under DOMAIN user profile.

    Publisher 2013 - will not open/launch under a normal user profile.  mspub.exe shows in taskmanager then disappears.  This is a Windows 7 machine.

    If we create a new Windows account on the computer and start Publisher with the new account. Does it work?
    If so, we maybe consider recreating the user profile of the specified account.
    If the issue persists with the new account, please repair the Office program and then try again.

  • I need help migrating domain user profiles in a refresh scenario using hardlinks.

    I am trying to create a TS that will capture all of the domain users and their settings from a machine. Then refresh it with a new O/S and restore the data.
    I don't want to use a state migration point and I would prefer to save the data to the machine.
    I am using a MDT TS with the standard TS steps.
    There are two sections to USMT.
    Online USMT
    Offline USMT
    I have set the Online USMT to capture locally by using hardlinks instead of copying files. But I read that this doesn't work unless you set the
    OSDStateStorePath variable to a value. In my example I would need that to be a local folder on the machine. Does the folder have to exist on the machine?
    There is also a condition that has been set on the Restore User State step.
    OSDStateStorePath exists
    If any of the conditions are true
    Folder %OSDStateStorePath%\USMT exists
    Folder %OSDStateStorePath%\USMT3 exists
    I would like to get this working.

  • Can I change user name after running essbase from command prompt??

    Hi,
    I run essbase from command prompt and during this activity I was asked to give user name and password, but by mistake I put wrong user name and now wolud like to chanege it.
    Is it possible??

    now I was able to connect to easbase from planning, I ve created sample aplication and initialize it but cannot connect to Eas to download data for sample application. After I run the validation there is now only one error displayed:
    Essbase / Essbase Administration Services
    FAILED Web App Availability of web application context (POL-MPIKULSKI 10080, eas)
    Error: com.hyperion.cis.utils.BadResponseCodeException: Bad response code: 404
    Recommended Action: Check application is started
    I tried to start the eas from start>programs>epm system>essbase>administration services>start administration services(java embeded) but it didnt help.
    can I start in in different way??

    When the job scheduling team runs an interface that gathers all the FB03 documents to be sent to another legacy, it generates very big TXT files of accounting documents.
    When you open the TXT file, the text :
    VENDOR US#34 INVOICE
    is transformed into :
    VENDOR USÂ@34 INVOICE
    Which means # is transformed into special characters making failure in the load in the Legacy.
    This happens when text contains # - ´ ##
    Can anybody shed any light as to why TXT transforms the original text into special characters?

    I've found these forums very helpful and full of great information, I've been able to retrieve all members of groups that I search for (from the information on this forum), and get the member's attributes such as email addresses through that.
    The question I have is, is there a way to query the Domain Users group, since it's a special group in Active Directory, and retrieve the members of it? So far I have been unsuccessful. Here's a query I found that works on .Net:
    (|(&({ClassFilter})(memberOf={GroupDistinguishedName}))(distinguishedName={G
    roupDistinguishedName}))
    I haven't been able to get it to work with JNDI however. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    It's not so much that the Domain Users is a special group, it's more that because by default, all users have their Primary Group set to Domain Users, that it appears to behave differently.
    So the query that you're trying to execute via JNDI, would be something like:String searchFilter = "(&(objectClass=user)(memberOf=CN=Domain Users,CN=Users,DC=Antipodes,DC=Com))";And of course if everything has been left to defaults, it doesn't return any results.
    Similarly if you look at the member attribute of Domain Users, it will be empty.
    Assuming the defaults, and every user's Primary Group is set to Domain Users, the following query would return all the user's whose primary group is Domain Users:String searchFilter = "(&(objectClass=user)(PrimaryGroupID=513))";Note that 513 is the Relative ID (RID) for Domain Users.
    Now if you set a user's Primary Group to be something other than Domain Users, then the Domain Users group would now have a value
    for it's member attribute and conversely the respective user would now have Domain Users as one of the values of their memberOf attribute.
    So then your query would be something like:
    String searchFilter = "(&(objectClass=User)(|(memberOf=CN=Domain Users,CN=Users,DC=Antipodes,DC=Com)(PrimaryGroupID=513))){code}
    I guess the fundamental question, is why do you need to determine whuch users are members of Domain Users ?

    I am using this command in my form:
    webutil_host.nonblocking('cmd /c "' || v_file_name || '" && exit');
    I want to be able to open the WORD/PDF/EXCEL, etc.
    file and close the Command Prompt as well.
    Currently, the document will display properly but the
    command prompt window will stay there until the user
    exits the document. I want the command prompt window
    to disappear (or hide) as soon as the document opens.
    Is this possible?

    It will not work if client uses Windows 95/98/ME.
