Don't like the update. There is a solution.

Call verizon. Have them forward you to motorola help line. Talk with someone that barely speaks english. (I'd bet their spanish isn't much better.)
Tell them your having issues with it. You don't like it and want the older version back.They will tell you they don't have a way to revert to the older version. They used to but not anymore.
Tell them you don't care. Tell your boss who tells their boss and all the up the chain until it gets the the developer. WE DON'T IKE IT!
They may try to have you troubleshoot the phone.
I don't want it troubleshooted. I want the old version back.
Eventually they may suggest or you can cut to the chase and tell them to send you a different phone with the older version.
They will tell you they can't guarantee it will be an older version but they will send a new phone. It should arrive within 2-3 business days.
Then you will have 5 days to return the other phone.
Not a problem. You can just keep sending phones until I eventually receive one with an older version.
I think as much as I persisted they will make sure I receive an older version. I also don't think they go through their inventory updating phones sitting in boxes just fun of it.

A new update on status of my phone with 4.1.2 version of android system.
At 1st I was having trouble keeping a good connection with a buddy while talking to him on his phone. I thought is was his phone as he usually dropped a few calls here and there. I dropped a few as well but between the both of us it was maybe once a day.
So I noticed that since I had the older version back I thought about it and between the both of us we lost signal  more than the usual. I went into my settings and turn on the notification for when my signal was lost.
I had noticed it was me loosing signal more than the normal. Even inside cities.
A few weeks later I tried to tether the computer to the phone. Then after turning off the computer and using the gps. I lost gps signal about every mile. For awhile I couldn't figure out why. However my wifi settings was turned off.
I later found that when turning on the tether mode. My wifi turned off.
I used to be able to have both on at the same time.
Some places I would go to would have free wifi. I would use the wifi on my computer through my phone as my Phone would get better signal. Not anymore
My phone freezes from time to time and lags a bit. When doing just about anything. Changing apps, using the internet, even just going back to home screen.
Another week or 2 difference, after I kept getting this notification about using up my data limit. At 1st I didn't think anything of it. I just thought I was using a lot this month.
During the 1st week of my new bill this month. I checked what apps were using up the data.
I noticed one of the little android icons was using up a more data usage of all the other apps combined. I'm on the internet a lot with work.
Some of these issues I can deal with . Like the lagging, screen freezing and such.
It sure beat the new update.
This may be the way verizon is forcing those to update to the new crappy update. That no one wants. However forcing everyone to get.

    OK, I downloaded the utility, but during the installation process I was advised to shut down Outlook, or restart it after installation. I immediately cancelled the installation. Obviously, this thing is going to muck about with Outlook. I don't want anything to be touching or looking at any of my installed program unless I tell it too AFTER I fully understand what it is doing and how to reverse the whole process in case it gets mucked up.
    I looked for a manual or some sort of documentation on the configuration utility, but there does not seem to be any.
    Anyone have a link to program documentation for
    iPhone Configuration Utility 3.6.2  for Windows?
    I find it incredilble that there does not seem to be a stand alone, plug the usb cable in, and make a back up (system image) of an iPhone. After all, the thing seems to be hand held computer. Why not have a simple back up utility? Even the newer phones only have, what, a few GB. Lots of images would fit on an outboard TB disk.
    Then if every thing gets FUBAR, simply restore the phone the the last working image.
    Does no one keep controled squential backups of iPhones and iPads like you should do with any other computer, workstation or laptop that is a serious business tool?
    iTunes for back-up. Does and business seriously do that?
    iCloud? I'd be fired if the boss caught me putting client contact information on 'the cloud' or anything outside my secured hard drives. (Unless we have a specific paid contract for services).
    My company does not even allow wifi in the office. Security begins with a hard wired connection.
    sigh....

    "Unlike".  iOS 7 doesnt display well on my 4S. iOS 6.1.3 should still be supported for older hardware.  I think I shall me moving to Samsung Galaxy now.  Was really hoping hte new iphone would get a bit larger.

    I don't like the new toolbars or task bars or address bars or whatever you call them. In fact I refused to update my other computer because of the confusion the new version has caused me. I don't like the new location of the home button, I don't like having to click on the tab then go to a drop down menu to reload the tab (more clicks). And I really don't like the dark color of the top portion of the screen, it's really hard on my eyes. I don't like the blurry portion of my desktop showing through, it's confusing.

    That link doesn't tell you how to remove the Panoroma Tab Groups!! My main issue with it is that along my tabs at the top I no longer have the tab to open a new tab. Instead I have to click on the tab groups and then open them and click on an open area in the tab to get a new tab opened!! Is there a way to add that? I don't see that when I go to customize the tool bar as there's no icon to add it, just one to open a new window, which I don't want to do!! Thanks!!

  • I don't like the latest Firefox. Can I keep the old one without problems?

    At work I have v. 3.6.19 and it is asking me to upgrade to 5.0.1. I have a brand-new iMac at home and I installed the newest Firefox just a couple of months ago, so I probably have the 5.0.1. In any case, I don't like the new one's interface. Instead of having separate reload and stop buttons to the LEFT of the url window, there's a single reload/stop button (and it seems smaller than the old ones) attached to the RIGHT of the url window. Since I have a 27" screen on my new computer, it means I have to move the mouse WAY UP TO THE RIGHT to reload a screen, which is hard on my mousing hand. That may sound like nitpicking to you, but I'm finding it to be a problem. Also, the Home button seems to have disappeared. I just don't find the ease of use to be the same as with the one I still have at work. So I guess my question is twofold: 1) can I keep the old version at work and still upgrade the Flash (as it's asking me to do as well)?; and 2) can I put an older version on my iMac at home?
    I used to work in software (although not as an engineer), and in my opinion, newer does not always equal better. A case in point, it used to be easier to return to a previous page using the top toolbar, but as the versions change the function seems to be harder to use.

    Is that the only reason you want to roll back? If you have other reasons, you should consider [http://input.mozilla.com/en-US/feedback leaving feedback] for the developers so that they can continue to improve the product.

    Go to a place in France and purchase an iTunes gift card. You should be able to use that in the French iTunes store if you have a French address associated with your iTunes account.
