Don't want to download thousands of mails in mac mail
Dear apple support,
Since I set up my mail account, the mac mail download all my old emails, you know that not everyone want to download that old mail, that's really wast my hard disk, I only have 128GB in my macbook air, I searched that not only me have this problem. Can you just make it like the mail application in iPhone, only download 2 weeks email, that would be better, I know that's very difficult to add this function, I also studied programming before, so if you can help me, I promise that many people will happy with that. I beg you please!!! I'm really a fans of apple, I bought many apple products.

Menu option in Library - include images from subfolders (or some such), uncheck.

I really enjoy the new podcast features introduced with take 2, though I still miss the ability to subscribe to podcasts directly on the atv.
But, most of all, I really don't need the stuff i downloaded from atv to be uploaded on my mac!
Is there an option to stop itunes trying to get stuff from the atv when it syncs?I couldn't find it

Mail - I don´t want to download the whole history from Hotmail into my Mac
Hello,
I don´t know how to just use the Mail in my MacBookPro just as I do in my iphone. I have a Hotmail account with many e-mails that I keep. And I want them to stay there in the Hotmail server only. I don´t want to download them all into my Mac, for what?? But I would still like to use Mail for reading (specially new) Hotmail mails, and to send some when I use my Mac.

RegardsDo you have Internet Security Software turned on in your Internet Explorer?
I turned mine off, as I have Norton AV. Go into Internet Explorer and check to see if you have that on and try turning that off...and then try to get back onto FF. You may have to restart your computer, I'm not sure, as I'm not a techie. I just know that the Internet Security Software clashed with my Norton AV.

I have two iPads and giving 1st gen. to my grandson. Using my Apple idI for both... can we use different passwords to access our "own" apps. Also I don't want the downloaded App to go to both iPads. Been looking for hours for an explanation! Thanks for any help.

My ipad don't want to download apps
My Ipad2 don't want to download any apps and the news paper in the morning. I am on Wifi and can brows the internet.
I can download apps on my Laptop and then transfer it to my ipad, but I can't download the apps directly on my ipad2.
Any ideas?it goes out of the apps store to the main screen and and then the app just sits there and on it it says "waiting"

How do I return (to iCloud from MacBook Pro) a playlist of 80 songs that I downloaded? I only needed the songs downloaded temporarily due to no WiFi. I want to keep the playlist in iCloud; just don't want them downloaded. I know how to delete songs, but is there a way to just "undo" and return songs to iCloud and maintain existing playlist on MacBook?
Use Flash Media Server to stream the files.......set up a timer and have all three of them play at once....and have a button switch the streams depending upon which stream you want to play.....and wallah......
you can also capture the stream.time from the video playing and resume from that point on the other videos as well....havent done this theoretically so I dont know how smooth the transistion between streams will be....but it can be done....
plus u may have to use double buffering techniques to make sure it starts up right away......

When I go to purchase music or books on my iPad, a message appears that a certain book cannot be downloaded at this time. Please try later. I don't want to download it and I want to get rid of this message. Any suggestions.?

Correct. it does not magially appear in other places. It will only be where you put it.

Correct as well. Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
You need to copy everything ( itunes library/contacts/pics/calendars/files/docs) from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old one, to the new one. -

nomenclature aside for a moment, 10.6.8 is correct but maybe more is necessary about the MacBook Pro: it is 'old': Identifier: 1.2, Intel Core Duo, 2.16 GHz, 1 Processor, L2 2 MB, RAM 2 GB.
i hope that is enough to get an answer to this: is it unadvisable to update its OS; in other words, if i update to 10.9, will the machine be able to handle it, 'speedwise'? -

If you check songs, simply sync the entire library.
But I highly recommend (and it is far simpler) to create a playlist (or multiple playlists) and select only that playlist to sync.
Leave everything checked.
Then simply add/remove from these playlists and sync away. -

I have the newest IPad and want to download photos from my computer. However, I have thousands of photos stored under My Pictures on my desktop. How can I transfer just the newest album to my IPad? I'm afraid that all the photos will be downloaded. Please advise.
Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)
