Double Display

My MacBook Retina 2012 has a problem with display. When I open a website in Chrome or Safari, go fullscreen, then swipe the touch pad to switch to the desktop, Dashboard, or any other windows, I can still see the blurred image of the website underneath of the new windows (like a shadow).
It was at first but today I was working with Power Point and Evernote (no web browsing), I got the same trouble again. Look like when I swipe back and forth between windows, images from one linger to the other (very blur, but still).
Any idea what's wrong and how to fix it?

SAP QUERY double display

Hi,
I have created a SAP Query with 3 tables AUFK, COEP and PA0001.
The selection contains the orderno. from AUFK (=base table), company code, year and period from COEP.
The display contains orderno. personnelno., name, quantity hours and costs, document no etc.
In the display I get the records 3 times. Where is the mistake? Or can I hide the double records? If yes, how?

Welcome to SCN!!!.
Actually, you are not getting double records. One of the key fields of the table might be different. Just try to select all the key fields of all the tables into output display and see the difference.

Double Display Question/Confrimation

So i am desiring to hook up my Macbook to 2 displays, use my macbook in a closed position with the monitors being used as separate screens. After reading forums, reviews, and a bunch of information here is my plan and i am hoping someone here can confirm/disprove or improve my ideas.
My plan is to use a Matrox DualHead2Go DP edition to connect to my Macbook via a Displayport/mini Displayport connecter cord. I realize this DualHead2Go product is compatible with Macbook pro only but since i have a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M card and it says its compatiable with 9400M and 9600M cards i believe it should work, tell me if im wrong

Then im going to purchase 2 24" Apple Monitors and use a mini displayport/displayport cord to connect these 2 monitors to the adaptar stated above, and i should be able to see the images i believe.

The only problem i see is that it looks like both monitors and the adaptar will require a USB port so i believe i will need to purchase a USB hub or something to that effect.

After looking at the Matrox website it appears that they CLAIM to support the MacBook Air so I don't know why it wouldn't work on the new 13" MacBook Pro (it should even work on the previous generation 13" unibody MacBook since all three of these systems have nothing more than the 9400M graphics).
Frankly, however, I suspect that you'll be taking some chance that this setup won't work as seamlessly or as well as Matrox would like you to believe. The principal problem would likely be software support since I'm pretty certain that without a custom driver and/or a custom Displays setting panel you won't be able to select the 3840x1200 output that would be required to drive two 24" Apple displays (2 x 1920) x 1200. Thus, you're going to be relying nearly 100% on some Mac OS X software extensions from Matrox.
The USB port issue shouldn't be a problem because as you suggest you could always use a powered USB hub to satisfy the twin USB port requirement. I think you will also need a male-to-male Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable to run between the MacBook's Mini DisplayPort output to the input on the Matrox adapter. If you don't have the latter then you will need to combine a Mini DisplayPort cable with the female-to-male adapter you linked to over on estore. Then you'll need two of the female-to-male adapters to connect from the outputs on the Matrox adapter to the captive male Mini DisportPort cables on the Apple displays.
With all of these cables (USB and DisplayPort) it's not going to be pretty, but if you decide to go this route then please give us an update on how it works.
Supposedly, a future version of DisplayPort will allow you to daisy-chain displays off of the same output port but whether Apple will support this is unknown. It will most likely require support in the graphics driver (software) and there may even be limitations in the current hardware that would prevent such a display daisy-chain from working. It would be cool, however, if Apple did/could add this as a native feature of their DisportPort implementation (but it will probably require new graphics hardware).

Double display of search topics

We are using Adobe RoboHelp 11. After compiling the HTML files to *.chm format, topics are listed twice (tab search). If one of the both topis contains German umlauts, they are interpreted false. See attached image:

Hi,
When you create any subscriber , you need to assign publisherIDs to it if you want to show selected user streams, otherwise , by default , it will show all.
What you mean by doubling effect ? If you do not want to show a stream in a subscriber, make sure that the publisherIDs array don’t have that stream publisher's user id.
For e.g. if you have two subscribers, one you want to show only your stream and other you want to show all other streams , then you can do something like this
webcamSubcriber1.publisherIDs =
and for the second,
add all userIDs to the publisherIDs array except your own ID and then do webcamSubcriber2.publisherIDs = "remaining publisherIDs". If new users come in and publish their streams, you need to update the publisherIDs array again.
Hope this answers your question.
Also, if you want to split any new userID into yours and friends's cam, you need to reassign the publisherIDs. Basically, everytime you want to add a new user's stream to be shown in a subscriber, you need to add that user's id to the subscriber's list of publisherIDs.

Double Display on Imac doesn't work under windows, there's a solution?

Hi, I'm a mac user who needs windows for certain applications, so I've installed it with bootcamp on my Intel based Imac 20''.
It's very useful for me having 2 monitors to work also in windows, but there's a problem: when I boot under windows the imac transmits the signal (I can go over the main monitor with the mouse) but the 2nd monitor doesn't receive the signal and remains black!
Everything is tested and works properly on macos, so there's a possible solution?

ITunes display freezes when minimized

Hello,
I posted several months ago about a Vista/Itunes bug, which causes the Itunes screen to freeze up when other screens are opened on top of Itunes. Until recently I have been unable to capture evidence of this freezing, but took this still today. You'll notice that the song information is double-displayed on top of older song information, and the picture displayed is for a song that has already played.

I was rushed when I last posted, so I wanted to add a few more details (and a better picture). When I first installed iTunes on my new Vista laptop in August 2008, I had no problem with the screen freezing up. It wasn't until the first iTunes upgrade that included "genius" that I began having this screen freeze problem (this is why I've included my post in the upgrade section).

In the picture, the song information at the top of the iTunes screen is correct, but the "now playing" image is not. This generally happens when I open another window/screen on top of iTunes, work on the new screen for several minutes, and then close the new screen. The iTunes screen is almost always "frozen" at this point. To unfreeze the screen I just have to click anywhere in the iTunes window, but it is a major annoyance, especially on a new laptop; I've upgraded since then, and all new versions of iTunes have the same problem on my computer. No other program does this.

Please provide an example of how to display the system time in CNiNumEdit.

I need to display elapsed time in a numeric edit control. The value must be a double. Using MFC, please show me an example that displays the system time in a CNiNumEdit control.

The trick is to set the FormatString of the num edit control to a format that displays dates/times and to use the COleDateTime class to handle converting the date/time to a double. COleDateTime encapsulates time stored as a DATE, which is a typedef for double. COleDateTime uses the same conversion factor for date/time as what the num edit expects, and since it supports a conversion operator to a DATE, which is really a double, and the num edit Value property is a double, displaying the current time in a num edit can be as simple as this:

m_numEdit.FormatString = _T("hh:nn:ss");
m_numEdit.Value = COleDateTime::GetCurrentTime();

If the two G5s use the same graphics technology (AGP, PCI Express) then you will not need any software updates.

Letters are doubled when typing in new place name

I have been struggling with the new way of adding places to photos in iPhoto 11 (see http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2623201&tstart=0). I finally figured out (more or less) how to add a new place to a photo. After a while another problem showed up, which I can't get rid of:
In the Info window of a photo, I enlarge the places window to show the map. I then start typing in a place name, but every letter I type in gets doubled (displayed twice). But when removing the double letter, the automatic search doesn't get updated, so I can't select any of my own places as they never show up. And it doesn't happen with every letter. Only the first one and every one after I have removed a doubled letter.
If I try this without the map being show, the first letter gets displayed once, but the next letters are doubled as the map is automatically shown.
The strange thing is that it didn't happen before.
I tried to restart iPhoto. Problem still exists.
I even restart my MacBook Pro (first time I had to do that regarding a software bug). Problem still exists.
I tried another photo library I have, and there it doesn't happen, so it seems to be linked to that specific photo library.
Any suggestions?

very few people have reported this - try renewing your iphoto preference file - A good general step for strange issues is to renew the iPhoto preference file - quit iPhoto and go to "your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist and trash it - launch iPhoto which creates a fresh new default preference file and reset any personal preferences you have changed and if you have moved the iPhoto library repoint to it. This may help
This does not affect your photos or any database information (keywords, faces, places, ratings, etc) in any way - they are stored in the iPhoto library - the iPhoto preference file simply controls how iPhoto works - which is why renewing it is a good first step.

im trying to bring together my 2 iMacs (both 500gb) together is it possible to control both with 1 operationg mouse, keyboard? Like a double-Display system exept seperate hard drives unless you can bring them together.. help me people

You'll need a KVM to share one keyboard and mouse between two computers (here's one example that looks very natty).
You can use one iMac as a display for the other with ScreenRecycler, but why not just buy a seperate screen - using ScreenRecycler will not realised the benefits of having two drives and procesors.

Here's the story..I am horrable at Java. I took this class..I am having a lot of trouble and the teacher will not help me.. Here's my assignment..
Write a program to compute mileage statistics for an automobile. Mr. Magoo has kept track of several tankfuls of gasoline by recording miles driven and gallons used for each tankful. Develop a Java application that will let Mr. Magoo input miles driven and gallons used (both ints) for each tankful and then display the miles per gallon obtained (a double). When Mr. Magoo enters -1 for miles, the program will display the total miles, total gallons, (both ints) and overall miles per gallon (a double, display rounded to 2 decimal places).Use a priming read similar to that found on page 4 of the Chap 4 handout. Continue processing input values until Mr. Magoo enters the sentinel value of -1. Use a message dialog at the start of the program that tells him what the valid input values are and what sentinel value to use to end processing. When Mr. Magoo enters an invalid amount (<= 0) for either value, there should be an error dialog box. Mr. Magoo might possibly enter two (or more) invalid amounts in a row! Make sure the program catches all invalid data.After Mr. Magoo enters the sentinel value, print out the totals. Invalid values are not included in the totals. Whilst not agreeing with the tone of some of the messages the principle is correct up to a point.
Anyway a little help is needed here :)
Your program could be done in any language as its basically a procedural task. Lets look at that first.
Your input screen - be it the command line or a JOptionPane must have a "switch" behind it that filters out unwanted input and only calls the mpg formula if the input is correct.
To make the calculation you need to temporarily store two values "milestravelled" and "gallonsused"
The input reciever should look for "milestravelled" first and when that has been correctly input ( > 0 ) it will treat the next input as "gallonsused".
Once the two values are stores it should automatically - or by request - calculate the MPG figure and display it.
Secondly, your code had some syntax errors I've corrected - there was an extra +" after the miles, gallons and Mpg variables

Your information message declaration is not correct either. I suggest you check your syntax using the JDK documentation or your book.
I hope that helps a little and will encourage you to work out the rest on your own.
PS: Why are you using swing? A simple command line application would do fine for this task. Is it a course requirement or are you using a java development program to learn java. If its the second reason I think I can see why you're a bit lost. The IDE programs stick in a load of code that may not be necessary at all. The best way to learn is using the trusty JDK and notepad :)

Error with variable

I wrote a program that is supposed to call a method that returns 21 numbers with doubles from the user, then the program is supposed to call a method that displays the highest and lowest numbers entered as well as the average of the numbers. But... I get 2 errors that say cannot resolve symbol for lines 17 and 18 (which is this part number(arrays) and display(arrays) and another one that says cannot resolve symbols for line 40 int average = numbers.getAverage(); heres the program

you loop through and assign the numbers in numbers to
a variable called sum then divide by numbers.length,
would that be how you do it?It might just be a case of sloppy wording, but as written, no, that's not quite what you'd want to do.

} That's what your wording says to me. That may not be what you meant, but if it is, try it and see what happens.

Best Practice for WSDL Generate Proxy Class for Web Service with Two Versions

I would like to generate proxy classes for same function but with two versions.
Old version web service (v23.2) is used for stable modules in a project which is not going to modify.
However, enhancement is added in new version web service (v24) and is going to use in any future modules.
For example,

It generates similar classes with an '1' added at the end of the class name.

As per this case, I have shared corresponding details below :
1.As far as I know, WCF doesn’t support method overloading directly
2.Because WSDL doesn’t support method overloading (not OOPs).
3.WCF generates WSDL which specifies the location of the service and the operation or methods the service exposes.
4.WCF use Document/Literal WSDL Style : Microsoft proposed this standard where the soap body element will contain the web method name.
5.By default all the WCF services conform to the document literal standard where the soap body should include the method name.
6.but you can differ the method in the same manually by using Name attribute like below

BCC Customization

Hi All,
I am not quite familiar with BCC customization. Please help me on below issue.
In BCC > Merchandising > Promotions, I need to create a new button, on click of which a popup will be shown to select a csv file.
This csv file will be holding property values of a specific repository item. This will be used to create multiple objects of that repository item.
Please let me know how I can create a new button in BCC > Merchandising > Promotions and how can I configure the action on selecting the csv file to (probably to a form handler) create the multiple objects.
Currently user is required create one item at a time manually. If I provide the above mentioned feature, the user will be able create multiple items at a time and they can deployed easily.
