Iam presently doing on conversions realed to Finacial postings.my work in this task is "iam uploading an excel file from work station and save it in unix file,before sending into unix iam doing mapping of some financial realeted fields ".how can i map that fields.iam doing on the certain Strcture it is belonfg to the finacial batch interface.
plz give sample example and code..?
Map the certain strcture fields as GL-GL, GL-AP, GL-AR, AP-AP, AR-AR, etc posting Use the format as in SAP (date, number, leading 0-s)

The problem is I have designed one dashboard using ExcelXML mapping and everything is working fine but I was afraid that I could not able to find the mappings which were embedded in Excel.It happened many times.What I was doing is everytime Im re-mapping.I could be a big problem for me to do this procedire for everytime.How to recover my XML maps into excel sheet.Can anyone please provide the solution to achieve this.Shouldnt it be equivalent ? I mean, as far as I know the ns0: shouldnt be a problem
when you have a namespace in the message then you need to associate it with some prefix....since ns0 (or any other prefix) is not present you are getting the error....having the namespace but not ns0 is the problem.
XMLAnonymizer bean may help you to add the namespace prefix... -

Mapping query result to excel sheet
Hi Experts,
i have a requirement where in i need to map the result into particular cellls of the excel sheet, because the excel sheet acts as front end which has graphs and by just putting the result in particular cells of excel the graph is automatically generated, so is there any way where i can map the result cells into particulat cells in excel?

You might have stopped reading this thread since you have the answer you need for now. From experience, let me tell you what might happen next.
If the query definition is ever changed ... say, a new characteristic is added because a different user has a slightly different need ... the result table will move down by a few rows and your equation no longer works.
If you think this might happen, let me tell you a very easy way to get around it.
1. Name the range(s) you will use. If the first result is in cell B31 on Sheet1, then go to cell B31 on Sheet1 and Select Insert>>Name>>Define. Call it something you will remember, like "LastMonthSales" (no spaces, but underline is OK)
2. use the range name in your formula. This happens automatically, in fact. If you press = then click on cell B31, Excel will automatically use the range name instead of the range address. Excel LIKES names.
3. now, go to the Visual Basic Editor (Tools >> Macro >> Visual Basic Editor; or, Alt+F11). In your workbook, there should be a subroutine as follows:

If you do not find it, add it. This probably also means that you are using Excel 2002 or later and have not set your Macro security to "trust access to Visual Basic Project"; so, change that security setting (Tools >> Options >> Security >> Macro Settings).
The visual basic code is very simple. For each result that you need to map you will want one line of code like this one:
resultArea.Cells(4, 2).Name = "LastMonthSales"
The Cells(4, 2) are counted from the top left of the result table. So, in this case if B31 = Cells(4,2), then the top left of my result table must have been in cell A28 in Excel.
This subroutine will be run automatically every time that the query is refreshed. So, if the result table moves, the names will move with it. One less thing to worry about.
If you do not think you need to do this today, don't! No sense in doing work that is not necessary. But, save this. I suspect that some day you will need it.

You can view the status by qurying wb_rt_audit_map_runs from any SQL client.
From there your can copy the output to excel.
Otherwise you can use OWB repository browser to view the mapping running status report.

Increase the column lengths of excel sheet through abap

How to import a dynamic excel sheet to a dynamic database table.
I am not a developer, but am looking at what is possible in SQL server as I am planning an implementation strategy.
My requirement is as follows:
I receive an excel sheet and I do not know what are the columns or the number of columns in the sheet.
I need to load this sheet data into a dynamic table in SQL server - named based on input excel sheet. The column names should get created from the header row. This should be achieved just by providing excel sheet name & location.

I looked @ your Excel Power Map program add on, and it’s great.
However everyone is looking for the ability for the user to create polygon (boundary) maps.
It should not be that hard to add this functionality onto such a great map program you already have.
For example: let’s say one has 10 latitude & longitude coordinates and he wants to see the polygon (boundary) of them on your great map. One should be able to just put those 10 latitude & longitude coordinates in an Excel sheet, fire up your Power
Map, select that it should be plotted as a polygon (boundary) and it will display on the map.
Does Microsoft have any plans to add user polygon (boundary) map creation ability to your great Excel Power Map program?
I would also like to see Excel Power map have USA census tracts built into it just like is has USA zip codes built into it. Census data is also very important as thousands and thousands of people need to display polygon (boundary) for census tracts.

I have an advanced table in which its columns mapped with both vo attributes(from database) and transient attributes. If i select 'Export Button' i need to export all data present in the advanced table to excel sheet.. But i am not able to export transient attribute data .. Can anyone help me to solve this problem...

You should be able to export any attribute from the VO, provided they are not hidden fields. Do the values appear on the screen? What is the field type on the advanced table of the attribute you are trying to export?

ShrinivasYou need Acrobat Standard or Pro to convert the scanned image to readable text (OCR) and then save it as a Excel file (if Acrobat recognizes that it's a table, which I doubt it will). Maybe there are some 3rd party plugins that can help you further.
