Download Error (480) when trying to download rented movie

Hello all.
Managed to install the update.
Everything seems to be working fine.
Then decided to rent a movie, accepted the payment etc. but when I try to download I keep getting "Download Error (480)" and a notification to go to "Check Downloads" and try again. Have tried a number of times and keep getting the same result "ERROR" !
Is anybody elso suffering this problem ?
Could it be related to the store being very busy because ALL of you are trying to rent and download movies right now ???
Any feedback is welcome.
CIao

OK, so further to my earlier post.
After a number of times being in touch with customer support (email) I have still not resolved this download error problem.
One thing I have determined, the problem is definitely related to HD movies only. I am not having any problems downloading rented movies that are NOT HD.
Does anybody have the same problems with HD movies "Download error (480)" ???

  • Error message when trying to import Quicktime movies

All of the sudden, I'm getting this weird error message when trying to import various Quicktime movies. I've never seen this message before:
File Error: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown
Any thoughts why this might be happening? Any input would be appreciated.

I now see that two of them have been encoded using the AAC, Sorenson Video 3 codec which is not one I've seen before so I suspect that would be it.
The other one I'm having trouble with is encoded using Integer (Big Endian), Animation. I know I've seen the Integer (Big Endian) codec before so do you think that because it's animation that's a problem? I imported several other uncompressed files that were encoded with Integer (Big Endian) that worked fine so that's my suspicion.
Tom, you've always been very helpful on these boards for my questions. Thank you so much.

  • Error message when trying to play a movie

hi i am trying to watch a rented movie when i gat an error message suggesting trying later error number = (-42110) not sure why any help welcomed

    Hi there, annalese2012!
I've done a little research on that error code for you and it looks like it is mentioned in an article we have online, located here:
    iTunes: Possible iTunes Store errors
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1424
The article suggested for dealing with that error code can be found here, and it is the advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting article:
    iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3297
It looks like this section in that article specifically has the information you might need:
    "Error 42023" through "Error 42408"
These alerts might occur when trying to authorize iTunes or during launch when iTunes checks for authorization information.
Install the latest iTunes from apple.com/itunes/download/
    Remove the SC Info folder.
If that does not resolve the issue, see iTunes: "Error 42408" or "Error 42404" after upgrading to iTunes 9.0.3.
Thanks for coming to the Apple Support Communities!
    Regards,
    Braden

  • Error message while trying to play rented moves on Apple TV

I keep getting an error message while trying to play my rented movies. I have rebooted the Apple TV. Lowered the resolution. Restated my modem . Rest my Apple TV. Soft rebooted it and it plays all Netflix and previews in HD no problem just not the movies I have rented !! Extremely frustrated regretting my purchase extremely!! About ready to boycott!

I have been able to open a few items in iTunes, but have not been able to play even those videos from my Apple TV. I can airplay them from the computer, but cannot access them directly from Apple TV. This is a bit frustrating.

  • Getting error message when trying to watch a movie on my iPad

I purchased a movie through iTunes for my iPad. I was able to watch the movie a few times now I'm getting a error message every time I try and watch it now, "you do not have permission to access the requested resource". What can be do to fix this problem?

Is the movie a movie downloaded from iTunes? The iPad can only play certain movie files. Where have you downloaded the movie from? Some DVDs or other files from other internet sources may not work with the iPad.

  • TS3623 Downloading error occurred when trying to playback movie

Downloading error occurred when trying to watch a movie bought on apple tv

    Dear Zita,
I error is related tot he message which you get "No more handles".
This definitelly means that there is a bug and old files are not closed , thus the number of handles on OS level is exceeded.
The exact way to debug the "handles" leak is with applying SAP JVM Profiler, using the I/O Analysis feature.
