Aside from getting all the tables, selecting all the fields from each table, and appending it all into one table...
How do I download the Material master records into text file?

To carry out the product replication from ECC to CRM,you need to carry out the foll steps.
First download the customizing objects using R3AS
DNL_CUST_PROD0 u2013 Material number conversions
DNL_CUST_PROD1 u2013 Product : Categories
DNL_CUST_PROD3 u2013 Material : R/3 sales status
DNL_CUST_SPROD u2013 Sales product item
DNL_PLANT - Plant
To download products foll the steps below
1.Defining Product ID Settings -COMCPRFORMAT
Cross-Application Components  SAP Products  Basic Settings  Define Output Format and Storage Form of Product Ids
This activity describes how to synchronize the product Ids in the CRM system and the R/3 system.
The material master length is R/3 is defined in transaction code OMSL and is set to 18. (also check note no. 545824)
2.Make sure that CRM item categories and R/3 item categories are the same.
In CRM, item categories and item category groups are seen via
Customer Relationship Management  Transactions  Basic Settings
3.Selecting specific objects for replication : R3AC1
Use adapter object MATERIAL
Use filter settings tab and specify the material or a range of products you want to download .Use atble name MARA,field MATNR use an approriate operator and mention theproduct you want to downlaod.
4.Replicate Materials : R3AS
mention the adaptor object Material and execute

Hi Suresh,
If you are looking for entries in table MARA (material master table) or MARC then you probably don't need any report rather use se12 and there is option for exporting the content of the table in a CSV file..

Material Master download to file using Idocs

I need to download Material Master to Application server or local PC using Idoc's. Is there a way to achieve this?

Hi,
You can use the userexit available in material master outbound function module to download the data into file and trigger an event which can call a workflow that by default set the status of the IDoc to not to be processed 31 or configure new status 28(as IDoc being monitored) and use the workflow to view the material file and release the IDoc if OK by resetting the status to 30 or mark it for deletion or as error by setting it to 31.

wie ich oben schon geschrieben habe, habe ich ein paar Fragen zum SAP BC. Ich habe ein Hochschul-Projekt und muss hierfür Materialstammdaten aus SAP herunterladen und mit einem Java Programm ausgeben lassen.
Kann mir vielleicht jemand weiterhelfen, wie die Schritte hierfür aussehen?! Wie verbinde ich den BC mit meinem SAP System? und wie bekomme ich anschließen die Daten mit einem Java Programm ausgelesen?
Ich habe bereits den BC installiert und konnte mich meines Wissens auch richtig anmelden;-)
Ich hoffe, dass mir jemand weiterhelfen kann und bedanke mich schon im Voraus für eventuelle Antworten!!!

Hi,
I work with SAP BC some time ago... I remember that you configure the connection in SM59 / SICF and the server open a port to "listen" (connect external).
So, your external program can execute functions inside SAP and exchange data.

Error in Material Master download

Dear all,
We are in SRM 4.0 with support pack level 11. We have revalidated our setting as per sap note 720819 as well. While downloading the material master from ECC system we are facing this error in our inbound queue.
"Function module "CRM_DOWNLOAD_RCV_EXIT" not found"
Kindly suggest the solution.

No Material Master replication from R/3 to CRM

Hallo guys,
i've got no replication of material master, haven't tried any other object except customizing but customizing is triggered from CRM and was replicated fine. Can anybody help me how can i debug the replication process from R/3?

You first need to determine where your errors are happening?
1. Do you have blocked queues on CRM? If you see a blocked inbound/outbound queue on CRM via SMQ1 or SMQ2, then you can try to rerun the BDOC message in the queue.
2. Is there tax code customizing not downloaded correctly into CRM? This sometimes can hang up your download of materials?
3. Have you looked at SMW01 after the load to see if you have any BDOC's in error, the queues were empty?
4. What is the status of the initial load R3AM1?
I would hold off from debugging until I figure out where in the download process that I am receiving the error. Once I know that fact them I can debug a single download. You will have to set a filter on the material object to a single material and attempt an initial download. When you perform the initial download you will need all queues deregistered on the CRM side, so that you manually execute the BDOC import into CRM.
The last step will require placing a breakpoint into the validation function module for material.
I believe validation function module is: COM_PRODUCT_MAT_VALIDATE. If you have questions along the way of debugging the flow, please reply back and I will try to see if I can answer them. It has been a little while since I had to debug our middleware downloads.

Error while creatting the Material Master IDOC in ERP 2005

Hello All,
I am trying to create scenario from RFID-Enabled Outbound Processing - Conf Guide (SAP AII 4.0).
I am using Auto ID 4.0 on a NW04s system. The backend is a ERP2005 system.
The scenario requires that I need to create a material in the backend and send it to the NW04s system using IDOCs.
After completing the configuration on the backend, I tried sending the Material Master IDOC to Auto ID from the transaction AIDMM. I get a message that IDOC is just being created. But I could not find it in the transaction WE02.
On debugging I found that the function MARD_GENERIC_READ_MATNR_PLANT resulted in error.

Check ABAPer for file settings.
- CANNOT_SKIP_ATTRIBUTE_RECORD : The attributes could not be read in the EPS parcel. The file cannot be opened for reading, because it may have been deleted in the meantime.
- CANNOT_DETERMINE_EPS_PARCEL : The EPS parcel is not in the EPS Inbox, because it may have been deleted. You must download the relevant patch again (for example, Hot Package).
- CANNOT_DETERMINE_DATA_FILES : The name of a data file could not be determined, because a profile parameter was not correctly configured. Check the settings using the report RSPARAM.
- CANNOT_DISASSEMBLE_R_DATA_FILE : An R3trans data file could not be unpacked. A possible error source is that the relevant EPS parcel was not found. The data file could not be opened for writing. An error occurred when transmitting a 20K block from the EPS Inbox to the directory /usr/sap/trans/data (UNIX).
- CANNOT_DISASSEMBLE_D_DATA_FILE : An ADO data file could not be unpacked. The reasons are the same as with the message CANNOT_DISASSEMBLE_R_DATA_FILE .
- CANNOT_CREATE_COFILE : The cofile could not be created from the relevant data file. One possible error source is that <sys>adm does not have write authorization for the directory /usr/sap/trans/cofiles (UNIX).

Material Master replication ... ECC to CRM

I have a requirement to replicate a material master record from ECC to CRM, based upon an 'external event' (i.e. an event other than the change of the material master record itself, in ECC). The event is the change in status of a record in a z-table.
What is the best way to accomplish this? Is there a function module or BAPI that I can call, to trigger the replication of a material to CRM, whenever this event occurs? Are there other suggested / better approaches to satisfying this requirement?

If your CRM system is new then you have to do the initial download of material from ECC to CRM. To do that first download the material customizing object (like category. group etc), from transaction R3AS (CRM side) then download the product/Material.
After do the initial download, activate the change pointer for the material related message type (matmas etc..)from transaction SALE (ECC). And schedule I job to run its on daily basis.

Initial Transfer of Material Master to GTS

Currently we are looking to transfer material master records(Initial) specific to only few plants as the GTS implementation is with respective to only a specific country. We have about 250,000 material master records from this plant but the MARA table in the feeder which stretches across multiple countries has a count of 4 Million.
We intend to develop an enhancement around the user exit SAPLSLL_LEG_PRR3_002 to support this requirement.
Is there a way to transfer this data without an enhancement only restricting to specific plants? My understanding is this would be an issue which is common to implementation teamsas usually only one or few countries go live on GTS per release.

You will have to code this filtering logic in the user exit that you had mentioned. There is no standard delivered solution for this.
Btw, when you say you are going to use initial transfer option any other specific reason for looking into filter logic?
Selection screen of initial transfer has material number as input. Why not download ur 250000 product and transfer those in chunks. Just a QN.
But filtering material transfer is possible with enhancement.

Material Master: All part numbers from one vendor

Hi everyone,
is it possible to list all part numbers supplied by a defined vendor - in the material master?
I was told by our purchasing department that ME2L would do the job, however I'm not authorized to execute the transaction (for no reasons) and our admin is on holidays ;-)
I'm sure a similar report must be available in another way...
Any suggestions?

ME2L is the SAP standard listing of purchase orders by vendor; it is not necessarily a comprehensive list of 'all part numbers supplied by a defined vendor - in the material master'.
If, however, this is adequate for your purposes, you could try other standard Purchase order listing transactions:
ME2W, ME2M, ME2C, ME2N.
Assuming those transactions are not available to you, you might want to download the raw purchase orders from the tables using a table browser such as SE16N:
EKKO which contains the purchase order number and the vendor number
EKPO which contains the purchase order number and the material number.
Joining these two using desktop software would give you similar info that you would get from ME2L.
As I stated earlier, ME2L doesn't really meet the requirements you stated. The listing that actually meets the requirements depends upon your company's business processes. In some companies, that listing would have to come from the purchase info records. Such a listing is available from ME1L and a few others.

You have mentioned two different terminologies here.
DMS
Material Master
From DMS, you need to download the attachment and the same attachment can be converted using the FM CONVERT_TO_OTF then try displaying the same into your smartform.
I'm not aware of Material Master Document attachment.

1.The field Marc-LADGR is defined as a required field : it doesnt contain an entry
2.You have not fully maintained the tax classifications.

my suggestion ... cross check again with ur fields of the source structure ....i mean decalre only fields .. which are required .. then do the field mapping again for the all the fields...
i believe there will be documentation for the std program .... check it & go thru with that ..map it ... wherever needed ....

Uploading material master from R/3 to CRM problem

Hi Experts,
I am new to the Middleware
I have downloaded the material master from R/3 to CRM but I am not able to see the downloaded products in CRM.
I have checked the queue of R/3 there is no error.
I even checked the queue of CRM there is no error.
When I see in SMW01 the status is green and
BDoc. Error message is showing Mat. for Initial Download: Function table not supported
Can anybody give me suggestions?
