Downloading an app, prompts me I can't download 23 apps

When I download an app from the app store, after I give my apple id password, it will tell me 23 apps cannot be downloaded at this time (including whatsapp and some others..) I don't need to download these apps and there is no update for whatsapp.. so I don't understand why it will redownload these apps all the time. right now I'm trying to reinstall the OS but I fear that when I reset my backup the problem will continue... (I will try it anyway). What do you suggest to try to solve this problem

Multiple values are selected in a multiselect prompt then we can get indivi

Hi Experts,
Can it be possible in OBIEE that if multiple values are selected in a multiselect prompt then we can get individual graph for each selected values?
For eg if in a multiselect prompt,values such as bangalore,pune,hyderbad etc are selected then the result in a report diosplays 3 graphs one for each state.
Waiting for any work arounds on this.

Showing a parameter on the prompt where user can pick a value drom dropdown

Hi All,
I have a requirement to display a parameter in the applet prompt that shows user a LONG picklist of values to choose and then submit the BIP report request under Siebel.
I now the syntax to declare a parameter with few list of values but how to manage if the list is too long.
e.g. a list of Countries that are in the system today.
Please give me some suggestion as to how we can handle a long list of values when need to display it against a parameter.

It must be a generic requirement to display a dropdown in the prompt applet but what if the list of values expected in the drop down are too long. Can we still accommodate it by defining the parameter string in the RTF.?
Please suggest some solution here.

Upgraded as prompted, noiw it can't find my network

I was prompted to upgrade airport express software, but after I did ("successful" it said) it searches but can't find my network. I ran airport utility and it found no problems.

Apple have messed up big with teh latest updates to a lot of things they have been forcing upon you. Itunes 10.2 destroyed Airtunes, and something Apple did has caused my network, which has been like a rock for 6 years working flawlessly, to act so erratically that I just don't care anymore. I now have AEX devices flashing yellow and not seen on Airport utility, yet I can play music through airtunes on them. I have an Airport extreme connected to the cable modem to use as a wireless router that will disappear from the utility, yet my internet connection over wireless is unaffected.
It is so FUBAR'd right now I have stopped caring, and will have to wait for Apple to fix all the problems they created with these new updates they are rolling out for purposes I don't really understand.
It is a system that once worked flawlessly as advertised, to something that I don't even try to use anymore. It's frustrating, but what can you do. I just try to complain to Apple enough until I feel I have been heard. I keep my fingers crossed with each update to fix the problems that obviously exist, and each time the updates make the system even worse.

Late 2008 macbook 13" prompts mac OS can not be installed on this computer after booting from disc as l get the folder with the question mark screen. New HDD or ?

From the little research l have done, l have been convinced l may be having a dead hard drive though after having tried all the other troubleshooting tips found here, when trying to boot l get the grey screen and folder with the question mark suggesting it can not find the files neccessary to boot hence l tried booting with the disc and the message l get is that mac OS X can not be installed on this computer, though after doing the hardware check etc they all say okay. I've even tried erasing the drive and trying to instal the OS afresh with no luck. Any ideas or l must just get a new hard drive?

Pretty sure BGreg hit the nail on the head. If your hard drive was failing, you would still be able to at least attempt an install, provided your ard drive was mounting. You usually get that message when the disk is incompatible with the computer. If it is the proper disk, you might try erasing the disk (provided your info is backed up) using Disk Utility (under Utilities in the menubar) and choose the Mac OSX Extended (Journaled) format.

I had 4 Queries which are combined queries(Union).When i run the report ,displaying prompt values which are there in first Query.Can't we get combined prompt values when i run the report.I will explain with Scenario.

Prompt Values:Country(A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H)
Q2:Component level Country Information
Prompt Values:Country(A,B,C,D,E,F,L)
Q3:Product level Source Information
Prompt Values:Country(A,B,C,D,E)
Q4:Product level Country Information

When i run the report iam getting prompt values for country as (A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H)

I'm having trouble understanding your scenario as you explain it.
You are doing a union of the queries?
So create query A, combine queries, union, create query B, etc.
All of them use the same prompt message?
So you either build the condition and reuse the same prompt message or you use a filter from the universe.
In this case it is not possible to specify something different for each of the various subqueries.
So you would have only one prompt answer, being whatever you answered to the prompt.
If you have different prompt messages, you can give different answers, but then you have 4 prompt answers to display.
It would be logical that only the first one is displayed if that is the one you display, you should display all four.
If you just want to display the superset of countries which have been retrieved by the query you can put this information in a separate table block. If you make it a horizontal one, without borders, you should be able to come close to a normal prompt layout.

Can't run java or javac from dos prompt

I just installed j2sdk1.4.1 on win98SE. I have a problem where I can't seem to be able to compile or run an application from the dos prompt. I can do both in Visualage for Java or in JGrasp but not at the DOS Prompt. I have set the PATH statement to PATH=c:\j2dsk1.4.1\bin and the classpath=c:\j2sdk1.4.1\lib. The following is a typical error message:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: RunApplet/class2 problems. As ChuckBing says, the command needs to be "java RunApplet" with no .class. The argument to the java command is the class name, not a file name. The second problem - if you do not have a successful compilation, there won't be any .class file to run.

Start up problem: goes to console prompt, can't get to GUI (ADVANCED ISSUE)

Running 10.4.7 on a Mac mini with PPC. When I boot, I see the progress bar complete, then the screen goes blue and I see the spinning cog and it goes to the black screen with a text darwin console prompt asking for login. Once I login at this prompt there's nothing more I can do. Occasionally, it'll go back to a blue screen with no on-screen icons or text. Strangley, the web service turns on and starts serving my Drupal and eLGG sites, but I can't VNC into the machine with ARD. I really don't want to reinstall the OS as it'll wipe out my Drupal and eLGG web servers. I've done all the disk and permission repairs, and reset pram and nvram. I can't boot into safe mode or disable autologin. I can boot into single user mode and darwin console prompt, and I can get in remotely with ssh.
Any thoughts - other than reinstalling the OS? Thanks!

Thanks. That didn't work. I ended up having to open up my mac and using a paperclip opened up the drive draw and took out the CD. I think something is wrong with my optical drive. Once I took out the CD the mac was able to restart.

Can we include ALL in a Prompt's syntax of OLAP UNIVERSE

We have a OLAP universe based on a cube generated from Analysis services.
We have desidned a condition object in which we have added a prompt which works fine. Can we add more functionality to this prompt where we can include "ALL".
I know that there is optional prompts but i still need this functionality as i shall pass some value when i am binding my xcelsius components to this prompts.

You can build an optional predefined filter that mix "All" level with other levels with OR operator.
In that case you will be able to select "All" or any other value coming from another level.
Here is a sample based on AdventureWorks where I used "Product Categories" hierarchy and a "Like" operator.

Ok, so i downloaded three albums (sic) and discovered the next day that on two of them there were songs which did not completely download. I quickly reported it and expected a reply within 24 hrs but Ive heard nothing back and now I cannot re-report it .

Click the big blue button and follow the prompts.

App runs in Eclipse environment but not from jar file with no error message

When I upgraded my jre to 5.0 my app does not run. After fixing the properties problem I had a few days ago it is now at least compiling and running within Eclpse
However, when I export to a jar file it runs to a certain point and then just goes away with no error message!!! I've narrowed it down to the exact point where it dies but don't understand why it dies and especially gives me no errors whatsoever. It just goes away.
It is creating an instance of a new class when it dies.
Can someone please help me?

Ok, well it doesn't. Anyway, I'm still having the same problems. I can run my jar file to a certain point and then the application just stops. I know this because I've put come message boxes in the application to let me know where in the app the system is.
It always dies when it is instantiating the new class called HeidiFrame; done by:
HeidiFrame heidiFrame = null;
if I put code in between the above line and before the below line, this code will work fine
heidiFrame = new HeidiFrame();
but if I put code after the above line, nothing happens
As I said this all worked fine until I upgraded to Java 1.5
If you look at http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/compatibility.jsp there are 23 compatibility issues with the new release. We're using xml stuff so that was my first problem and the code wouldn't even compiile. Once I added in libraries, the code compiled and ran beautifully.
However, when creating my jar file so I can deploy this application , I've discovered that the jar file will only run to a certain point, as I've stated previously. So, that's my problem. Not that I can't run it from the command prompt, which I can't, but it's a gui application. I've tried changing things in the classpath file and the manifest to no avail. Nothing changes. The application starts but when it goes to instantiate the HeidiFrame class, which is the class that actually builds the gui it dies and goes bye bye.
