DQM moving data from STREET 2 field in SAP to STREET 3 field

During the address cleanse function by DQM, it is currently taking the information I have supplied in SAP field STREET2 and moving and/or copying it to STREET3. Does anyone know what is causing this or what the logic is being used to determine that this information belongs in the STREET 3 field in SAP?

Hi All,
I'm in the process of moving data from normal tables to
History tables.
It can be some sort of a procedure which should be a cron job running at night.
My aim is to move data say 1.5 yrs or 2yrs old data to History tables.
What aspects i need to check when moving data. And how can i write a procedure for this requirement.
The schema is same in both the normal table and history table.
It has to be a procedure based on particular field RCRE_DT.
If the rcre_dt is above 2 yrs the data needs to be moved to HIS_<table>.
I have to insert record in to HIS_table and simultaneously delete record from the normal table.
This is in Production system and the tables are quite big.
Pls do find enclosed the attached sample schema for Normal table and HIS_<table>.
If i want to automate this script as a Cron job for similarly other History tables
how am i to do it in a single procedure assuming the procedure for moving the data is the same procedure.

Today one my task in the DAC Etl failed and when I opened the DAC log file of it. I saw the error description as below

Since there is no much information in DAC log file about the failure, I opened the PLP_SRC_WH_AP_Invoice_Reconciliation session log file.
The error description in the session log file says.

check in data source under this we have fields tab check the format of a particular field format internal/external/check u choose internal format, if any check routine once
use Semantic Groups in the DTP.

Apex.ajax.clob - retrieving data from a clob field

I have an application that uses a table that stores xml data, and the field in the table that stores the data is a clob. I used Carl Backstrom's example to build what I have so far, (God's blessings on his family). Here is the script I use to store the data from an HTML Editor into the database:

The submit calls a process that inserts the data from the clob001 field in the CLOB_CONTENT collection into my table.
How do I get the data out of the table again to present in the HTML Editor? Each option I use gets me into trouble with the 32k length limitation that is extant in Apex. What would be the best way to address this?

Inserting or retrieving a clob in the database is simple and can be done with a pl/sql process. It gets more more complex when the clob is large; I believe the limit is 32k? Larger than that and the HTTP process cannot manipulate the data stream.
The key to manipulating clobs successfully is through the use of collections, and javascript. In my case, I used the standard html editor item (fckeditor) to retrieve the data and present it on the page through the apex.ajax.clob javascript function. The clob_set method in the apex.ajax.clob function that I mention in the previous sections of this post calls the 'doSubmit(request)' that causes a pl/sql function to be fired that writes the clob to the database from the collection created by the clob_get method. The collection that the clob_get method creates is called 'CLOB_CONTENT', and can be accessed through the 'apex_collections' view through standard sql within APEX. In my case, the pull the 'clob001' field from the 'CLOB_CONTENT' collection after the clob_set method runs, and I insert the value from 'clob001' into the table I have created for storing the clob content. The clob_set pulls the data from the HTML editor (FCKeditorAPI.GetInstance('P59_CONTENT')) through the GetHTML() method that is part of the FCKeditorAPI.

The clob_get function is below. Notice that the line "$s('P123_CONTENT',p.responseText);" is taking the output from the clob_get and setting the value of the P123_CONTENT page item (which is my standard html editor item) with the 'responseText'. the 'p' object and the 'responseText' method are built into the clob_get function when a 'new apex.ajax.clob' object is created. Confusing? Tell me about it!

Please let me know Which CKM is used for moving data from Oracle to delimited file ?
Also is there need of defining each columns before hand in target datastore. Cant ODI take it from the oracle table itself ?

A CKM is a Check KM which is used to validate data and log errors. It is not going to assist you in data movement. You will need an LKM SQL to File append as answered in another thread.
Assuming that you have a one to one mapping, to make things simpler you can duplicate the Oracle based model and create a file based model. This will take all the column definitions from the Oracle based model.
Alternatively, you can also use an ODI tool odiSQLUnload to dump the data to a file

How to get data from COSP table, field HRKFT as the key to data from PM?

Dear ladies and gentlemen!
I need to get data from COSP table, field HRKFT as the key to data from PM tables (AFKO and AUFK).
The problem is that it is a key field to the COSP, and all non-key fields as an alternative to HRKFT are not suitable for this task.
All this is necessary for the extractor, which loads the data from the R \ 3 systems in the BW-system. I need to perform SELECT from a table COSP and maybe also JOIN, most likely between tables COSP and AUFK.
What should I do in this case?

From information on help.sap.com I've made a conclusion that one of possible solutions in theory is to modify standard extractor PM_OM_OPA_1 in order to make HRKFT field available for work, because by default it is hidden by SAP and not available for use as a key field.
Of course, it's not a very good solution, but for now I know no other way to solve this problem.
Maybe someone knows better ways? In this case I will be very grateful for any help!

Downloading data from a BLOB Field using mod_plsql

Hi,
I am trying to use the mod_plsql to download data from a blob field, I have a web page where I can pick the file name to be downloaded from the documents table This table has the BLOB field that has the Data formatted in a text file format(contains carriage returns), when I open it up in the browser it is displaying it correctly , but when I right click on the file name and choose "Save Target As" and save it as text file it is ignoring the carriage returns and displaying entire blob in one line.
Can somebody help me figure out why it's not recognizing the carriage returns?

Can you provide some more details regarding your requirement?

Moving data from an array to a JTable

I am facing some problems with handling array data to JTable.
My objective is moving data from a 10X5 data array to a JTable.

Moving data from flat file

I am moving data from flat file to oracle table. while populating the oracle table if I get any errors in flat file those errors should populate in ODI error table.
Is this is possible? if yes. Could you please let me know the set up in ODI.

CKM is the dedicated for checking the constraints while doing transformation. The constraints includes, PK,FK, conditions etc.,
There are two types/ways of checking the constraints.
Flow Control: Triggered CKM after data is loaded in to I$.
Static Control : Triggered CKM after data is loaded in to target table.
If you opt for any one the above ODI will create E$ and SNP_CHECK_TAB (summary table for logging the errors) and load the error records.
ODI will also provide you an option of loading the corrected error records by RECYCLE ERROR feature. In this phase/run ODI will load ONLY the error records in to target table (assuming its been corrected/cleaned).

Hi Manish,
From my experience, you cannot change an existing attribute of a set type (esp. when it has a dependency).
You need to delete the attribute, save the changes and then re-create the attribute with new value table.
Also remove any dependencies before deleting the attribute.

But if we look at SAP Netweaver documentation : Prior to SAP NetWeaver '04(since the SAP BW release I am working is 3.1); We find that we have the option to extract to a DB table or flat file.
Now if we look at SAP Netweaver documentation : SAP NetWeaver '04; In addition to the above we have the option to extract to a non SAP system.
My requirment is to extract data from InfoCube to a non SAP system. The SAP BW release I am using is 3.1

Problem accessing data from Destination: dest:FP_ICF_DATA_ SID //sap/bc/fp/

This error message has many threads. However, I have not seen any postings for NW CE 7.1. The configuration for this version of JAVA and ADS is very different from any of the documentation that we have found. We suspect a config issue but cannot find any pertinent documentation for ADS configuration and NW CE 7.1 (we are SP11).
Where can we find ADS configuration documentation for NW CE 7.1?

So far, we are mainly using test FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE which seems to prove that the destination configuration is the problem. Fortunately, some of the configuration was automated. But not all.

Thanks for the help, so far. I have gotten one step closer by manually starting all processes and services related to Adobe Document Services. CE 7.1 is quite a bit different.
I can now get a byte count returned with the test FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE in SE38 without checking the "with destination service" box. When I check the box, I still get the "Problem accessing data from Destination: dest:FP_ICF_DATA_<SID>//sap/bc/fp/ message".
The problem is related to the return of the rendering service from the Java side via the Java destination service.
Note that the ABAP side with the problem is ECC 6.0 EHP3 SP1.

How to "encapsulate" a data from a text field in a JSP form

Hi. I'm trying to make a user's registration jsp page and I'm not sure how I could get the data from a JSP form from the user and store that into some variable that I could later pass to a query to modify the database. I've been using a JavaBean, but I get null values for all the fields of the jsp page. That's logical, since I cannot find a method that will read the user's input and store that into some variable. In my JavaBean, I have get and set methods that will return a String for each of the form fields such as first name and email. The set method will have in a String as a parameter to set that field value (whichever field it is) to the value of the input parameter, but I don't know if there is a method or a way to read and store the values entered by the user into the jsp form. This is a code snippet of the jsp form:
<TR><TD>First Name: </TD>
<TD><INPUT TYPE="TEXT" NAME="fname"
VALUE="<%= newUser.getFirstName() %>"></TD></TR>
Here, the getFirstName() method simply returns the value of a String value related to the user's first name, which is initialized as null in the JavaBean. newUser is the name of the JavaBean that I'm using.

haha...nevermind this question also guys...I found out that I could use the request.getParameter("some_String") method with my JavaBean to read and store data entered by the user in a text field.
