Drag and drop podcasts do not show up under "podcasts" heading

When I manually drag and drop a downloaded podcast into my Ipod, these do not show up in ITunes under the "podcasts" category. When I look at the Ipod display, it show the podcast is actually on the device, even though ITunes does not show it. I can not browse through the ITunes listings to find the missing podcasts since the only other category available in the left-hand menu is "music" and this does not show podcast as an option for genre. How can I display and delete podcasts after I have listened to them? Hows can I see what is actually on my Ipod using ITunes.

Only episodes downloaded with iTunes will go into podcast section even if genre is set to podcast. Doesn't matter if it is singles episode download or using subscription.
Episodes downloaded with browser will go into music section. Depending on tag info they can then be found using genre, artist, or album search.
Somebody, awhile ago, found the difference in files using a hex editor. They were successful in moving the direct download file to the podcast section.

Hi, Im not a frequent forum poster, as most of my questions can be found already answered on them!
This is a question Ive had for a long time and it amazes me that no-one else seems to ask it. I check at each OS upgrade but its never there...
Is there any way of dragging and dropping an iCal event showing in week view across to a date in the left sidebar monthly calendar?
I was able to do this years ago in MS Outlook, and utilized it all the time when I needed to push things back, now I have to open the event and select an new date in the drop-down calendar for each & every event I want to move to a new month at the end of the month.
If its definitely not possible, how to you ask apple to consider including it - it doesnt seem like a particularly difficult task.

No, but you can use cut/paste. Cut (⌘X) the event, then click on the week where you want to move the event, and Paste (⌘V).
If you have a suggestion for Apple to change that method use: Apple - Mac OS X - Feedback.

what can i do when the Drag and Drop feature is not working in my I Mac Using Maverick 10.9.4, it will not do it at all i must do copy and paste.

The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Drag And Drop operations do not call custom IRM Protector

We are developing our own custom IRM Protector,
So far we have successfuly integrated our IRM Protector into Sharepoint, and download operations and upload operations do protect and unprotect documents. Also move operations between libraries, through Send To ribbon action, call HrProtect and HrUnprotect
methods as needed.
However, in our test environments, when using drag and drop operations between Libraries or folders, the IRM Protector is not being called at all. We have tried to update our test environments to the latest Cumulative Update, without success. Is there any
known bug around the drag and drop functionality?
If true, Drag and Drop suposes a great security threat, and we cannot deliver our protection product to our customers, as it would mean document protections could be bypassed by a simple sharepoint operation.

GNOME 3 : "drag-and-drop" + "Alt-Tab" not working

Hello,
In GNOME 3.2.1 with Mutter 3.2.1 (current ones in Arch), it is supossedly fixed the following "bug":
Mutter 3.2.1 changelog:
* Allow keyboard window switching (alt-Tab) during drag-and-drop [Matthias, #660457]
But I can't make it working.
As test, I open a folder (maximized) and vlc (background). I drag a movie file with left click mouse and pressing Alt-Tab makes nothing.
In fact, when I press Alt the file icon changes to a question mark "?"...
Has anyone been able to make it work?

AS3 drag and drop masked bitmaps - not working

I have a drag and drop project using bitmaps that were masked using fireworks. All bitmaps are PNG (fireworks files) and one object is GIF. All objects were converted into movie clips.
PROBLEM
All movie clips from PNG's can be dragged, but they can't be dropped. However, the GIF movie clip responds to both drag and drop.
ActionScript worked when all movie clips had GIF's.
Is this problem because the objects were masked or for any other reason?
Note: Objects were masked because their border is very fussy and cropping them doesn't help with the quality of their image.

The systems is runnng Snow Leapard, I have in the preferences, drag lock disabled, dragging enabled, the operating system is 10.6.8.
I also reloaded the system disk, same issue.

Drag and drop into playlist not working + changing of timezone

Hey All
Ive searched and cant find an answer to this anywhere
My PC crashed pretty hardcore like (unable to load vista to deauthorize account before formatting PC) so a format ensued, once i formatted i reinstalled itunes and reauthorized my account for my ipod touch did the whole back transfer and delete and resync of my ipod so now i have to put all my music back onto the ipod touch (well not all my music just the stuff i want to listen too)
So i went and made a new blank playlist (not a smart list) and proceeded to fill ... when i came accross my problem i cant drag music from the library to my new fresh (definitely not a smart playlist) Playlist
ive checked the "manually manage box" in the ipod summary screen but even when the ipod isnt plugged in i cant drag and drop. i can right click and add to playlist fine ... just not drag and drop
also when i plug my ipod in it sets my timezone to london and changes my time .... rather annoying considering i use my ipod as an alarm clock
any assistance is greatly appreciated

Drag and drop album art not working / iTunes 7.0.1.8 & WinXP SP2

Drag and dropping album art isn't working for me after upgrading to iTunes 7 in WinXP SP2. Anyone else experience this problem?
Update: Drag and drop works from a webpage but not from Windows explorer or Windows Picture & Fax Viewer.

You only need an iTunes account to automatically get artwork. Usually artwork for CDs you import yourself is gotten from somewhere else. I tend to use allmusic.com. Occasionally I will have to use google to find the artwork though.
Have never tried to add artwork from anywhere but a webpage though.

Drag and Drop Cursor changes - not working

I have fully implemented a working drag and drop Swing application, but I am running into problems with the cursor.
My application has some drop targets that set the cursor to DragSource.DefaultCopyNoDrop, and some that set it to DragSource.DefaultCopyDrop. The problem is once I change the cursor DefaultCopyDrop, I can never change it to NoDrop. I can however change it from NoDrop to Drop. I have tried it with jdk1.4 beta3 and rc.

Drag and drop data object not working in jdev 11.1.1.7

I am trying to do quote process lab and faced this issue.
When defining the user task parameter in jdev 11.1.1.7 i am not able to drag and drop the data object in parameter list section.

Infact i am trying to create a simple BPMN projoect but it doesn't allow the data object to be drag and dropped in the parameter list.
This same thing was working fine for me in Jdev 11.1.1.6,Is there a bug in jdeve 11.1.1.7 ? Has anyone tested with the latest release?

Drag and drop iPhotos are not appearing in photo stream??

I am trying to drag and drop pics from iPhotos in to photo stream however they are not appearing in the stream?
Although when taken with my iphone they do appear?

Remember: we cannot see your machine. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Basic things like :
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For instance: 'iPhoto won't export' is best explained by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.
